Best Buy is dedicated to being a positive and responsible member of every community where we do business. The following is a brief overview of how Best Buy strives to have a meaningful impact on the quality of life for children, families and our employees.
Best Buy For Kids
The Best Buy for Kids giving program strengthens communities by supporting local and national programs that help children achieve their full potential. Our goal is to empower youth by helping them excel in school, engage in their communities, and develop life and leadership skills.
Best In Class Fund
The Best in Class Fund is a community investment program whose goal is to identify schools in-need across the country and to support them as they inspire and advance learning through the integration of technology in the classroom.
Best Buy Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters
With the opening of the first Best Buy store in Canada in 2002, Best Buy formed a strong national partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. This partnership is aimed at providing support to individual member agencies in communities where we have a presence as well as National office initiatives and programs. Since the formation of this relationship, Best Buy has contributed over $1 million to agencies across the country. Click here to learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
Best Buy Supports the United Way
Best Buy is proud to support the United Way through an annual employee driven campaign. The campaign provides employees with an opportunity to get involved and help make a difference in their community by supporting their local United Way.
Best Buy Store Donations Requests
Best Buy also supports our local communities through charitable donations made by stores. Each Best Buy store has an annual donation budget to contribute to youth-oriented, non-profit organizations and schools. If your organization fits within our focus area, please visit the store nearest you with a letter on your organization's letterhead. (Click here to visit our store locator page.) Store personnel will review all applications and make funding decisions. Store based funding is limited. All decisions are made at the discretion of the store and all decisions are final.
Best Buy Supports Employee Volunteerism
At Best Buy we encourage and support our employees' community involvement, and are pleased to provide employees with the Community Partner Award program. Employees that volunteer more than 40 hours per year or raise funds for a registered Canadian charity are able to apply for a Community Partner Award for their charity of choice to receive support from Best Buy. A Community Partner Award grants up to $1,000 to the charity, and employees can apply through Best Buy's internal website.
Non Solicitation Policy
Best Buy Canada does not allow organizations or individuals to sell or distribute items (e.g. food products/candy, samples, flyers, memberships) outside of any store or office location.
