Is it easy to take advantage of services at a Geek Squad Location?
You bet it is. Just drop your computer off at a Geek Squad Location. Most upgrades can be done on the same day you bring your PC and diagnostic results will be available in about 48 hours. Use the Store Locator to find your closest location and their hours of operation.

Is there anything I need to bring when I drop off my computer for service at a Geek Squad Location? If you're bringing in a laptop for service, remember both your power cable and the system discs that came with the computer. For service of a desktop PC, just bring your system discs along.

What do I need to know before I have Geek Squad visit my home or office?
A person at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire time period that services are provided. The Geek Squad professional must receive: full access to the computer(s) and/or other devices(s) to be serviced, access to your residence, your consent and cooperation to enter your residence or business, a safe working environment, working space and electrical power.

What can I expect when Geek Squad visits my home or office?
Upon arrival, Geek Squad Agents and Installers are required to provide proper identification verifying himself or herself as a member of Geek Squad (verbally as well as badge presentation). He or she will then interview you to better assess the problem or situation. After the service or repair has been completed, the professional will provide an understandable and concise verbal and written statement presenting the particular facts of the client's case and the conclusive methods or procedures used to rectify the situation or problem.

What forms of payment does Geek Squad take?
We take most major credit cards and cash. (While it has no monetary value, we also welcome dating advice.)

Do you guarantee your service?
Yes. If you're not satisfied with your service, please contact the Geek Squad location where the service was performed. We guarantee computer services provided to you at the Geek Squad Precincts, in your home, in your business, online or over the phone for 30 days. However, for repairs necessitated by a virus or spyware, our service guarantee is only valid if the anti-virus and anti-spyware protection for your product is installed or updated during the repair or before you again connect to the internet. We provide a one year workmanship warranty For Home Theater services. We provide a lifetime workmanship guarantee, for as long as you own your car, for Car Electronics services. If you notify us within the stated time period, we will work to remedy your problem quickly and at no additional cost.

What is an Agent?
The Geek Squad is comprised of highly trained and mobile individuals, or Agents, who are dedicated to making your computer(s) work properly. These people have banded together and sworn to rid the earth of inferior computer behavior. You'll recognize an Agent by their short-sleeved white shirt, black pants, shoes, belt and clip-on tie.

What are Installers?
Geek Squad Installers are skilled craftspeople who set up and install all your home theater equipment. They know both the ins and outs of wires, cables and tools, as well as how to use them to make your home entertainment system look polished and professional.

What are Autotechs?
Geek Squad Autotechs are professional technicians who set up and install your car electronics. They are MECP certified. They know cars and have the tools to make your latest technology addition a seemless part of your vehicle.

Can I really get help 24 hours a day?
Of course you can. We're here for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Although our locations have limited hours, you can contact an Agent any time by calling 1-800-GEEK-SQUAD (1-800-433-5778) or getting online support at GeekSquad.ca. We can talk you through the problem, log-on remotely or have an Agent dispatched to your location anytime day or night.
