Community Involvement

Best Buy’s commitment to kids and the community starts at its stores. All Best Buy stores give volunteer time and donations to Canadian organizations aligned with Best Buy for Kids. Our stores partner with Canadian youth charities and non-profit organizations, elementary and secondary schools, and youth sports associations in their communities.

If you represent a group falling under this category and wish to request a donation, please drop off a letter with your organization’s letterhead at your nearest Best Buy store. All community involvement partnerships are decided at the discretion of individual stores. Your request will be reviewed, and the store you contacted will respond with a decision within four weeks. United Way

United Way strives to boost communities and improve the quality of life for Canadians. Best Buy supports this non-profit organization through an annual fundraising campaign. This campaign provides Best Buy employees with an opportunity to get involved and help make a difference in their community by supporting their local United Way. To date, Best Buy employees have donated over $1 million to this cause.

Community Partnership Award

As part of its commitment to community and its people, Best Buy encourages and supports the individual volunteer efforts of employees toward causes they feel passionately about. Employees that volunteer or fundraise can apply for that registered Canadian charity to receive up to $2000 from Best Buy.
