You get comprehensive coverage, with no deductibles or other hidden charges. If your product is found defective under normal usage, we will provide a gift card for the value of the original purchase price of the defective product. It’s peace of mind you can count on.
This plan frees you from parts delays and waiting in long lines. We give you a Gift Card so you can choose your own product replacement in-stores or online.
You can easily submit your claim online from anywhere. Once we receive your defective product, we’ll send you a Best Buy Gift Card that can be redeemed at any Best Buy store in Canada or online. The amount of the gift card can be applied towards any product of your choice.
We will cover all non-consumable accessories that come with the original product in the box.
This plan is transferable with the product, increasing the resale value if you choose to sell it later.

After choosing your product and clicking ‘Add to Cart’, if the product has a protection plan associated with it you’ll be presented with the option to add a plan to your cart with the product.
When making your purchase in-store, an associate will typically ask you if you’d like to add a protection plan to your order. You can also ask the associate at checkout to add a protection plan to your product if it qualifies.
Up to 30 days after purchase
If you didn’t buy a plan with your item and it is eligible for coverage, you can visit any store within 30 days of purchase and request that a Geek Squad Protection Replacement Plan be added to your product.
