The guidelines and rules presented below tell you what is expected of you as a condition for participating in the Forum, and what you can expect from other participants. By registering you agree to follow these Usage Guidelines.

For everyone's benefit, please stay on topic when posting in the Forum. This Forum is specifically provided to allow members and Best Buy Canada Product Experts to share their knowledge and help one another. Please refrain from bumping threads, discussing personal matters, abusing or disparaging any company or product, or, in general, from posting on topics unrelated to products and services available at Best Buy Canada stores and online. This includes referencing moderator actions in the forum and posting messages that mention other forums.
Furthermore, please note that the Best Buy Community Forums are not intended for customer service issues. If you have a concern about your in-store or online customer experience at Best Buy stores in Canada, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can help resolve your issue.
Kudos is a way of recognizing another member for a job well done. In other words, posting a helpful or informative forum post. If someone has posted a helpful response to a thread or provided you with information you were looking for in the community, go ahead and give that person a Kudos! The spirit of Kudos is to highlight helpful information, not highlight negative posts. If someone has posted a customer service related issue in the forum, you should never Kudos this person, even if you agree.

Everyone wants to have a positive experience while on the Forum - please make sure that you are not detracting from any other user's experience. In particular, please refrain from submitting anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane, sexually explicit, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, violent, racist, abusive, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties. Members must also refrain from submitting any content intended to exploit, solicit, or harm minors. Your opinions are always welcome, but personal attacks and harassment ("flaming") in either the Forum or through private messaging is not permitted.

Best Buy Canada retains the right, at its sole discretion, to limit users' access to the Forum and to remove material that, in Best Buy Canada’s sole judgment, does not comply with the current Usage Guidelines or Terms and Conditions, or that is otherwise inappropriate for the Forum, harmful, objectionable, illegal or inaccurate. Best Buy Canada also retains the right to assign such right to some users of the Best Buy Canada Forums. Best Buy Canada is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such material. Moderators may take any action they deem necessary in their own judgment to enforce the Usage Guidelines and Terms and Conditions, and, in general, to address content that can detract from the experience of other users or the purpose of the Forum. Such actions may include editing, moving, or deleting material and banning individual users.
