Should you find a lower price in-store, in print or online from an authorized Canadian dealer we will beat it by 10% of the difference. Tell us which competitor is offering the lower price; we will verify the price and that the item is in stock and available for immediate sale and delivery.
If you've already made your purchase
For previous purchases, should you find a lower price in-store, in print or online from an authorized Canadian dealer we will beat it by 10% of the difference. Present us with your original receipt within 30 days of purchase. Tell us which competitor is offering the lower price; we will verify the price and that the item is in stock and available for immediate sale and delivery.
If our own price is reduced present us with your original receipt within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the difference.
If you purchased the item from BestBuy.ca and there is no Best Buy store in your area, just contact us anytime 24/7 — we’re here to help.
Here are some terms and conditions:
The item must be of the same brand and model and located in Canada. The item must be new and factory sealed and subject to a manufacturer's warranty applicable in Canada. The item must be sold by an authorized dealer located in Canada. Competitors’ prices must be in Canadian dollars and will be adjusted for any fees, taxes or other charges such as environmental handling fees and shipping.
Our Lowest Price Guarantee does not apply to advertising errors or misprints, Boxing Day prices, special educational prices, restricted offers, mail order offers, rebates, coupons, premiums, free or bonus offers, OEM products, limited or minimum quantity or limited time offers, close-outs, liquidations, clearances, and financing offers.

When can I ask Best Buy to beat a price?
There are three distinct cases where Best Buy will beat a price:
- if you find a lower price at another valid retailer before you make your purchase at Bestbuy.ca or in a Best Buy retail store,
- if you find a lower price at another valid retailer within 30 days of making your purchase,
- if Best Buy's price on an item is reduced within 30 days of your purchase.
Does the Lowest Price Guarantee apply to the prices of Internet and in-store retailers?
Definitely! If we don’t already offer the lowest price on the items you want, we’ll beat any price in a retail store or online. There are a few things to note:
How do I show proof of the price difference?
Please visit us in-store or call us at 1-866-BEST-BUY (237-8289) and tell us which competitor is offering the lower price, what the price is, and where they are offering it. Our Product Specialists will verify the price and that the item is in stock and available for immediate sale and delivery to you.

How do Shipping and Environmental Handling Fees affect my price?
Shipping charges and Environmental Handling Fees (EHFs) are included when we determine the final price used under the Lowest Price Guarantee. For example, if we sell a laptop for $379 and a competitor’s price is $359, but they included a $25 charge for shipping while we charged no fee, the competitor’s price is actually $384, and therefore higher than our $379 price. In this case, the laptop would be ineligible for our Lowest Price Guarantee as we would already be offering the lowest price.
Does your guarantee apply to purchases made using the Reserve and Pick Up option?
Yes! If you order an item at BestBuy.ca and the item is offered at a lower price in the Best Buy store when you pick it up, you will automatically pay the in-store lower price.
How does your guarantee apply to pre-orders and backorders?
If the price of your item drops at the time of shipment, you will automatically pay the lower price. Your credit card will not be charged until the time of your product’s shipment.
Does your guarantee apply to scheduled delivery items from BestBuy.ca?
Yes it does. If the price of your product drops any time on BestBuy.ca or in-store before its scheduled delivery date, we will refund the difference to you, including tax. To receive the lower price, please call us at 1-866-BEST-BUY (237-8289). If you see a lower price from one of our competitors, all conditions of our Lowest Price Guarantee will apply to your scheduled delivery item.
What happens if the competitor doesn’t have the item I want in stock or has limited quantities of the product?
Retailers sometimes advertise a product as having limited quantities in stock. Unfortunately, if the item is out of stock or a competitor has advertised limited quantities of an item, it is not eligible for our Lowest Price Guarantee. Likewise, if we sell a product that is advertised as being in limited quantity, it will not be eligible for any price matching.
Will you price match “free gift with purchase” offers?
Unfortunately, we do not price match any free gift with purchase orders.
