This is a phishing attempt which is a type of scheme that uses fraudulent web pages imitating the look of well known retailer sites to gather personal, financial and sensitive information, and in some cases charging multiple texting fees.
We only offer authentic promotions on the Best Buy Canada web site (www.BestBuy.ca). We advise customers to always check to ensure that any contest or promotional sites purporting to be Best Buy’s clearly identifies the www.BestBuy.ca URL.
If you see an unsolicited pop-up webpage that appears to be originating from Best Buy and it requests that you click a link and enter personal information or password, please contact us directly at email@example.com or via phone at 1-866-BEST BUY (1-866-2378-289).
