Slow to connect and expensive

It has some neat touch features, but when you switch it on it takes a while to connect, EVERY time. For the price of it I would expect more.

Best Mouse Ever

I was very skeptical when purchasing this mouse because of all the reviews, some good, some bad. I think the people that don't like this mouse haven't adjusted the mouse scrolling speed which is done in the bluetooth menu under mouse preferences. Trust me if your looking for an amazing mouse purchase this one.

I am using the mouse right now and I think that the performance is amazing because it can respond fast and it is comfortable when you hold it and it is very good at responding at when I move it but one problem is that it is very expensive, and I think it can be a little cheaper but it's apple come on.

Great for general use, not for gaming

If you plan to use this mouse for everyday activities, this mouse will blow you away. If you have any plans in gaming, this mouse is far from useful. Needs two buttons or you can't do the simple thing like shooting a gun in most FPS.

The mouse is less useful than the trackpad. Its inaccurate. The feel is awkward when I hold it. The computer is often confused by swipe/tap/click/scroll.

Sleek and useful

The design is so sleek and beautiful, like everything Apple does. I loved it.

Good mouse overall

Ive used one for over 2 years with an iMac. Its a good product, nicely designed, and is generally reliable. It will occasionally drop the Bluetooth connection, - it comes back quite quickly; its done this since new; all of the scrolling speed issues identified previously have been fixed in the later software so its fine; but, batteries, - it does love batteries. Of course the rate of battery consumption is directly related to the amount of use, - I use a pair of Apple rechargeable batteries every week. So buy rechargeable. My computer is used quite a bit with kids in the house, - but I would think thats typical of most environments. Five stars no problem if it was less power hungry.

Great product

I'm a big apple fan for good reason. Their product never let's me down. This Magic Mouse works on all surfaces quickly and flawlessly , and is the perfect companion to my MacBook Pro.

Great, but has minor downsides

I've been using this mouse for just about two years now with my iMac. It works exactly as advertised for me, I get fantastic battery life out of this mouse (roughly four months of daily use.. no kidding), and the scrolling is great. My only qualm with the mouse though, is that I do a lot of work in Pro Tools, and some of the added functionality acts as a drawback. Some of the adjustable parameters are linked to both scrolling and clicking, and when working quickly with the magic mouse, this spells trouble sometimes. Just a slight tap of the top of the mouse and settings are wildly changed. Mind you, this could also be a GUI fault on the designers part of the software, but I'd like to think it's a combination of both. In any case, this mouse works absolutely perfectly outside of Pro Tools, highly recommended for all Apple desk and laptops.

I love this mouse it does everything it says and more. Would recommend anyone with an Apple computer this is the only mouse to use with your Apple product. Also I ordered it online from Bestbuy and it arrived the very next day who could ask for more

Pretty but not practical

Own this mouse for over 2 weeks. It is a very good looking mouse but tires your wrist very quickly. Very not comfortable for prolonged period of usage (20 mins). Seems to eat up battery pretty quickly. If you just want the look of it, get it. If you want it to be practical and comfortable, get Logitech instead.

Very reliable mouse

I have 2 of the Magic Mouse's. One for my iMac, and one for my Macbook Pro. I have never had any problems with them and find them easy to use! My children were able to use them with ease after only a couple of tries. I have never had any of the ergonomic problems that other reviewers seem to have had, and I am on my computer daily. It was a great purchase!

Apple Magic Mouse

For me, likely the worst product ever produced by Apple. The battery consumption is heavy; the cursor speed is way too slow, even at the max setting; the glides under the mouse are noisy and not at all smooth; unless you have Lion installed, the up.down gesture is backwards. Its form factor does not fit the hand comfortably, and is a strain to use for a long time. Looks nice, sounds nice, - doesnt deliver. Would certainly recommend the Logitech MX over this.

Works as advertised

I have a brand new Macbook Pro and I think it's trackpad is the best as far as trackpads go, but i was getting tired of manoeuvring using it. I happened across this mouse and thought the multitouch would be great. After reading some mixed reviews i bought it. I have not run into any of the other problems people have talked about, the multitouch works flawlessly and even right click is easy to not do accidentally.

This mouse is amazing. Took a while to adjust to not touching the surface (and accidentally scrolling) when moving it. Missing the extra buttons (for Dashboard & Expose) the Mighty Mouse had, but not the dirty scroll ball. The potential for adding new features using the multi-touch surface is huge. This is a mouse you move with your fingers, not by resting your hand on it, so sweaty palms should not be a problem. Because you don't have to line up with a fixed scroll wheel, you can position your hand any way you want, so fatigue should not be a concern. Getting good life out of rechargeable AA's.

Apple Magic Mouse

I have had mine for over a month now and really like it. I'm using it on a HP desktop not on a Mac. People had told me that it only works on Mac computers. Not true. It does everything that it does on a Mac on a PC as well. Would not go back to a different mouse..

Don't bother for your macbook pro

It works well as advertised with the mac mini... I picked up a new macbook pro and the multitouch doesn't work. Followed Apple's directions with no success. Checked online and many, many users with the same issue. I'm particularly irritated as this is an out of the box configuration with no wonky settings native or third party. I laughed off Apple's tech support as they repeatedly directed me to take the pro to factory install and apply the round (1.3GB) of updates. Obviously critical thinking isn't conducive with their latte intake as it didn't work the first time I performed the default build. Found the fix... and that was to replace it with the Logitech MX. Say what you like about Microsoft other organizations however as of late Apple can't even seem to have functionality within their product lines and seem to reject any complaints... So a little plug for Logitech... well I've nothing to say... it works as advertised... looks like their CEO is earning their cheque.

Magic Mouse

I love this product and have had no problems experienced with other sweaty-palmed reviewer. I personally like the ergonomics and have not had any issues with tired digits or wrists. My only concern is its voracious appetite for AA batteries.

Look very nice, but not very comfortable

This magic mouse is definately a new innovation. The idea behind the mouse is great, but not very practical when using it. The mouse is well designed, very sleek. However, the shape of the mouse is not designed for you to use your mouse continuously. My hand feels very tired after using it. For the gesture finger movement, it is only good if your palm never sweat or very dry. If your hand does sweat i guess everybody does, then the gesture movement wont recongize it well since your finger cant do a smooth gesture movement. This is what I have found after using it for a few days. PS It looks really well and everytime I use it in front of my friends, they wow.
