What do I need to activate my new phone?

  • To activate your phone, a Best Buy associate will need to see two pieces of government identification. This includes one piece of photo identification like a Provincial ID, Driver's License, Citizenship Card, or Passport.

Do not buy an iPhone from Best Buy

If anything goes wrong with the phone after purchase, Best Buy will not help you. They send you to Apple to get service as they are only a reseller for Telus, Bell, etc. Buy the phone directly from the carrier, they are much better for support and 9 times out of 10 will replace your phone with no questions asked. I made the mistake of purchasing one of my phones from Best Buy and had issues... what a nightmare to get it fixed (and not with any help from Best Buy) NEVER AGAIN!!!
