Gone through 2 of them in less then a year!

I purchased one of these machines, and it worked great for almost a year. We then had a bad storm, and I believe it got fried during a power surge. I replaced it with a new one, and purchased a surge protector as well to protect it, and within a month, it was doing the same thing. It freezes up and I can't listen to any messages. I have to unplug and reset date and time, and then it freezes up again right after. It's a nice machine, good feature and good price, but I'm not happy that it keeps dying on me. I'll have to look for a different one.

Like the size and works good. Could use a stand to sit it up a little. That would perfect it. Very happy with it and glad to be saving on the telephone bill.

incoming messages were garbled. Sent it back on warranty twice, and received replacements with the same poor quality. After spending postage for warranty cost what I paid for the machine, the third poor quality machine went into the garbage

Fantastic Little Machine

Very easy to set up and use and smaller than the previous GE answering machine we had. For [price], I think it's a great value!

AT@T Digital Answering Machine (1740)

This answering machine is probably the best one I have come across in a while. The sound quality of recorded messages is very good. On other answering machines I had, the recorded messages sometimes sound garbled. Not with this AT&T answering machine. Another good feature of this answering machine is that you can set the number of rings before pickup between 1 and 7. Another nifty feature of this answering machine is that you can remotely access your messages. Overall this answering machine is an extremely well designed product.
