Behringer Cable Tester

Although the Behringer is the lowest price for a cable tester. I have seen lower prices. Similar to the Swii Army cable tester. I found The BEH tester just as good and have used to test all my production cables. I have also use it to calibrate my sound board. I would recommend it to anyone who has a large cable inventory. I like the portability of the unit.

Solid Value

I know people pan the Behringer name, but you can't go wrong with this unit. It's solidly constructed, simple to use, and does exactly what it claims to do, which is to test audio cables. Within ten minutes of it arriving at my studio, I found three cables that were in my "good" pile that were intermittent or not working - and that alone paid for the unit in time saved onsite. If I had to have one complaint, it would be that this unit does not have a Speakon test function... but neither does the Pyle unit at three times the price. For the value and convenience, if you don't have one of these gems, and you're doing live or fixed studio setups, it's well worth investing in!
