As far as educational type games go for the DS this one is great. I use it alot and really enjoy it.

Brain Age: Treat Your Brain, inspired by the work of Japanese neuroscientist Professor Ryuta Kawashima exercises your brain in an effort to keep it young. Fun for the whole family can be had by playing a series of minigames from doing math problems to drawing pictures to reading classical literature aloud. Work that brain!
