Excellent value

I acquired and setup this printer for a 94year old widower who lives alone. As can be expected neither his sight or hearing are the best. His most significant comment was "I can't hear it and I don't get my fingers covered with ink changing cartridges anymore". His less significant comment related to the fact he has difficulty finding the opening to insert the single sheet reverse side print feature. I told him look for the "Brother" logo.

Issues with Toner Cartridge after only 2 years

Don't get me wrong, this printer is really great - prints quickly, easy set up, cost efficient (not spending 30 dollars when one color has run out on a regular ink jet, because the entire machine won't print). However, I'm really upset that when I added a new cartridge, it immediately said the ink was low and needed to be replaced. The cartridge is $[...], so I ended up buying a new Brother printer that was on sale for $[...]. I added that cartridge to my old machine from the new one to see if it would work, and same thing happened. Safe to say that something in the printer itself malfunctioned (I am tech savvy so I tried to repair it as much as I could).

started off great but print quality drops

Started off great, fast prints, no problems setting up. Nice small package for scanner with duplex capabilities. But on the second toner cartridge it started to streak almost right away. No happy at all. Brother says its the toner cartridge but can't return it. Not interested in paying 80 bucks to find out. Buying a new printer.

Excellent Scanner, Good Printer

Installed easily and within minutes on my iMac. I've had this printer for 8 months for home printing (not a home-based business). The duplex printing sounds clunky, but the printer prints well, warms up quickly, and has a very good scanner (very nice resolution compared with my old Samsung printer/scanner). I would buy this printer again. One complaint: needs AirPrint.

Quality and service

Started off fine, but after original ink cartridge was replaced by a genuine one copy quality became unacceptable. Blank streaks in centre. Tried to contact Brother. Did not even get a reply. Very disappointing product.

Changed over from an ink printer because I felt the ink we just run dry so quickly. I've been using this printer for about a month now and I have no complaints.

Very satisfied after I found the power switch on the right side! You may want to add a picture of the buttons and their function on the instruction manual. Otherwise a bit noisy but for the price this is being picky.

OK

EASY: on the wallet, that is what attracted me! Quick delivery to my home Nicely remove from the box. also easy to follow derection on setting up and connecting to a computer. HARD: Setting up the program (two weeks this date Feb,22/2014) is hard because I use UBUNTU for Operating System; not Apple os or Microsoft os. Still looking for Software that would allow me to Scan to file insead of paper! This is a root that brother look into. Ask IT they could know!!!

Great all-in-one value

The price / performance ratio for this all-in-one printer is outstanding, even at the regular price. Setup and use is seamless and output quality is very good. Supporting software suite is flexible and easy to use. I have had two of these printers for my own use and purchased the third for a family member. No problems with any of them. Interestingly, the replacement print cartridge costs more or less the cost of a new printer.

Brother All-in-One Laser Printer (DCP-7060D)

Use this for about 2 weeks. Very nice laser printer. Had an earlier Brother laser printer model that still works well. This one scans very accurately and fast. Plain text scanning is almost as good as my better pro scanner. Bought it on Christmas sales. Good value.

Great Value, great overall performance.

I am not sure why some people rate this printer negatively. I followed all of the instructions for un-packing and setup. I also made sure to un-install ALL other printer drivers before installing this one. I came from a Ink jet printer and decided to go laser to save on Ink costs. All I have to say is WOW!!.. Prints spit out in seconds, as opposed to the "clunk, clunk" sounds waiting for an inkjet to finish/warm up/clean itself. The scanner also scans in full color, and the included software makes scanning documents into a file very easy. I am backing up all my hard copies of important documents. I would recommend this printer for any average consumer looking to switch from an inkjet.

Good printer - call Brother for wireless setup

Good simple printer. I have a Mac and the wireless setup required two phone calls to Brother. The CD with the installation Wizard was too old for my laptop even though the printer was manufactured in August 2013. The information is very hard to find on the website so just call Brother……..

Good scan quality

I got this printer a few days ago . It was not on sale. Anyway, the printer has a good quality and the scanner surprised me; High quality and true colors. It is much faster than my expensive color laser printer, with the same quality if you print in black. If you ignore its big size, it is excellent.

amazing printer

Bought this online. Very speedy and great service by Best Buy. The product itself is amazing. Very compact. Excellent quality of prints. Does scanning and copying with one touch or via your computer. The duplex option is a real plus and a paper saver. Was worried about noise level after reading other reviews, but it really is very quiet compared to other printers I have owned before. An excellent purchase.

good printer

i bought this printer a few days ago to replace a similar 7 year old Samsung laser printer. The printer was easy to set up on both a Windows and Mac system. It gives a crisp clear copy, scans well and copies well too. It's a bit noisy when it operates and while the fan is on but the noise is no big deal. Good quality for the money.

I bought this on Boxing Day and can't believe the value I got in this printer. Not only is it a fast duplex laser printer, it also is a scanner and copier. Printed 300 pages so far with no issues.

Great printer, well worth it!

I bought this printer in Jan 2013. It's been about a month now. It is great. It's my first laser so I don't have anything to compare it to except ink jet, but it would be unfair to compare it to inkjet as the laser is far superior. Copy function is great, print speed is good, print quality is good, scan function is good. The only complaint I have at this point is envelope printing. According to the manual, you need to open the back of printer and lower 2 tabs to print envelopes. This can be a pain depending upon where you have printer located. Other than that, man this printer is great for a small home-based business.

Review of DCP 7060D

I found it easy to install and use. Also, the price was perfect for a college student like myself. I did not like the design because it is bulky and unattractive. The print quality and print speed is good. I would recommend this printer for students who need to print their assignments.

A great, reliable printer

I've had this printer for more than a year now and have been very happy with it. It's fast, economical, reliable and I really appreciate the duplex feature and the addition of a scanner and a copier. I also like the large capacity paper tray and the fact that that I have yet to have a paper jam. It was on sale when I bought it--and was a real steal at that price.

Rating Brother DCP7060D

Bought this on sale at Best Buy several days ago. Good thing my laptop has a CD drive to read the installation CD. Agree with other readers it is a bit noisy but it is tolerable. Reliability, easy operation, free of paper jam, and high quality printing (great 2-sided printing feature) so far have been superior.

Fantastic Printer

After wasting my money on inkjet printers that needed replacing every other year due to streaking, clogged print heads, broken parts, etc, I bought this printer. I have had it since Boxing week 2011 and it is fantastic. It warms up extremely quickly for a laser printer. Double-sided printing is my absolute favourite thing, and I'm pretty sure it's a feature I couldn't go without now. The toner seems to last forever, which is a refreshing change from inkjet cartridges which seemed to be empty every time I'd go to print. I don't need or want colour, so this works perfectly. The scanner works well, and printing is extremely fast. There isn't a networking connection of any kind, but a router with a USB port would solve that problem for those that wish to network. I bought this during Boxing week sales, so I can't complain about the price. I would have paid more for this printer now that I've had a chance to use it. Overall an excellent printer for printing black and white and scanning needs. I highly recommend it!

Its a good and value for money.

The print quality is good and it starts quickly as compare to other laser printer models. The only problem is that it is too noisy. It create lot of noise during the start and also during the printing time. Overall this printer is value for money. I purchased this printer on Boxing day and its on a sale at that time. I can't comment on the regular price.

Great Value

I did some research before buying this printer. This is simply the best valued All-in-One laser printer for home use. Printing quality is on par with the more expensive models from Brother. What makes it cheaper is the missing networking capabilities. I can do without that since it is very easy to use an old computer as a printing server. I have plenty of obsolete desktops/laptops sitting around. The only downside is that the printer is noisy when printing. But for light home use, this is no big deal.

Excellent all in one option

Bought this printer recently- I have to say this is an amazing printer. Start time is short, and built in energy saving settings are great. Print quality is good as well. I like its scanner, it has a good resolution. The printer is compact and easy to use navigation panel. The only con that I would give it is its noise. If you are working at night, you can hear the noise on stand buy- I generally put it to sleep until I need it. Over all this printer does what its supposed to do. Cannot comment on its durability as I have been using it for few months only. So far so good- excellent buy!!

I bought it 3 weeks ago and I just love it. It work fast, double sided, high resolution, use less ink, easy to use and it is affordable for me as a student working part time. It works like a professional printers, except unable to fax and printing colors which I do not need.

Great for the price!

I bought this printer 2 weeks ago after using an inkjet for the past few years. All I can say is this printer is great for the money. It is decently noisy when starting up and printing but not overwhelming and scanning and photocopying are fast and look good. You can print 700 pages on the starter toner and 1200 pages with the replacements and it can be used over time because the toner won't dry out as fast as an inkjet. Also, one thing to consider is the size. This is a fairly big machine so make sure you have the space to set it up. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend this to anyone.
