Not too many gripes with this camera but when compared to what you get with the nikon D610 it's a no brainier.

Canon 6D Simply an Outstanding Camera

I purchased and used this camera for about 4 months now. I have been a Canon fan for years and this was a move from a small sensor camera(60D) to this full size sensor camera. The difference was staggering. The pictures that come from this camera, are sharp, have more contrast and for the most part ready to use out of the camera. I shoot in Raw/Jpeg mode. Where this camera shines is in low light whereupon I often use high ISO settings. I commonly shoot with ISO settings of 3200 or higher and the pictures are outstanding with no signs of noise even in dark areas. Normally I use the centre focus point and it is very fast even in low light. Being a full frame camera I have found that if the need arises where I have to severely crop a picture the results are much much better than my 60D. This is one nasty good camera and as far as I am concerned affordable if you are considering a high end APS-C camera vs this camera. You might pay a couple hundred dollars more for this camera but if you are serious wait a little longer and go for it. YOU won't be disappointed.

You just can't beat full frame low light sensitivity. This is a pro quality camera, so if you want to get those pro shots go for it, but it definitely get expensive very fast once you start adding up another zoom lens. Its heavy to log around but you will be rewarded with excellent pictures. This is not for every one, only if you are serious and interested in the art of photography, if you want to take pictures on a vacation, weekends hiking or of family I suggest you get a point and shoot you will be more satisfied at the end. I found that the autofocus works great, you don't really need 50 autofocus points, just that one extra sensitive in the middle does the job perfectly thank you very much.

Expensive but a great value

Sure this camera is expensive but for the pictures it gives you it's amazing. There a re a few shortcomings, no flash, and AF system what could be better. But all in all it does a very good job. The lens it comes with is also really good. Sure it's a kit lens, but it's an L kit lens.
