dslr killer

After lugging around my 5d and 400mm prime, the chiropractor said he had never seen a case like mine, called me Pretzel. After trying this camera, I felt that my manhood took a dive. But the results say otherwise. Every shot I've posted to my facebook and instagram feeds, the comments keep rolling in..."Wow that 400mm is magic" "5d takes amazing pics!" Stupid people they are indeed, because every one was with this beauty. No one can tell the difference BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

I chose this camera over a T5i dSLR.

I choose this camera over a Canon T5i after testing both for a week. Here is what I found out about them: - Amazing zoom. Over 1300mm equivalent and I never have to change lenses so I stay in the action all the time. - The SX60 has image stabilization across it's entire zoom range. The T5i kit 18-55 lense does but the telephoto lense I tried did not come with that. I take alot of videos and it makes a huge improvement for video, much smoother. - I prefer using EVF versus view screen. So one huge plus for me is that this camera can take both photos AND VIDEO without ever having to take my eye away. With all SLR's, the video is only viewable on the screen, not the EVF, so I found myself having to constantly move the camera back and forth and I missed out on alot of nice shots due to that. - The SX60 was much faster focusing for video. dSLR's have faster autofocus for photos because of the miror, but the T5i had horrible autofocus response for video. With the SX60 I did not lose key moments waiting, with the SLR I did. - Compared to an an SLR, the image quality is lower. Colours slightly less intense and slightly more grain. But for me this camera had enough other advantages to outweigh the raw image quality. This camera is for someone that wants zoom, takes video not exclusively photos, and prefers a single compact lightweight package.

Canon PowerShot SX60

Like Tatyana (the previous reviewer) I wanted good macro capability, combined with general purpose convenience. I also needed to travel light, without carrying a bunch of expensive, delicate lenses for all potential uses. Finally, I was interested in upgrading from a fairly good quality point and shoot device. All this leads to consideration of a "bridge" camera. While the price of this unit pushes SLR territory quite strongly, the camera is about a year on market so is now occasionally available at a reasonable discount--shop wisely. I did and was rewarded. Our history of digital camera purchases has gotten us used to Canon technology, toughness, design, features, and software, therefore it was a fairly easy step to using this camera, which automates almost everything you'd want to do, plus gives you full manual control if you wish, for any situation. The additional features such as Wi-Fi, NFC, and HD, together with the huge ZOOM make it well worthwhile and fairly unique in the marketplace. All this ends with one word to sum it up...Recommended! A comment about the online order experience. It landed at my door with no charge delivery in less than 2 business days from the order time. Priceless!

Amazing bridge camera

I bought this camera as an amateur photographer. I used to own T5i, and wanting to upgrade, without a huge cost of T6i, I bought this sx60. I have to say, I am pretty amazed. My two important concerns with any camera are: can it take good macro shots and sports shots? I am happy to say this camera satisfied both of my concerns and exceeded expectations. The zoom on this camera is magnificent - I took pictures of a person on a boat on the lake - from the shore - and found myself deciphering the facial expressions to a tee. Definitely recommend this camera - it is worth the money and time invested.

Canon SX60 HS

I tried the canon DSLR T5 but returned as far shots not clear at all. Slow to zoom out as I use this for far shots and quality out of 5 I would say 3 as pictures are not as close as you would expect from an optical zoom 65. As for clarity also a 3 but, if you can stay perfectly still and snap a shot then it would be a 5 out of 5 as long as target not too far away. On the plus side very comfortable to hold.
