Worst PVR ANYBODY has EVER made!

I've owned 4 PVR's, and I'm familiar with many of the other good ones available in the States - and this joke of a PVR is STUNNINGLY poorly designed. Astonishingly, this PVR is missing 15 or 20 features that the previous Scientific Atlanta 8300 PVR offered. This is inexcusable - and if you are switching over from another PVR you will wonder what idiot made the design decisions to set up the Interactive Program Guide the way they did. I'd bet a certain part of my body that the head honcho in charge of deciding what "features" and functions this PVR would offer was someone who NEVER used a PVR in his real life - at his home. As a result - this PVR CONTSTANTLY peeves me off. Every day. It is buggy as heck - and if you actually BUY one of these lemons rather than rent one - all I can say is I'm sorry for you. I've got probably 7 or 8 times as many electronic gadgets in my house as the average person - and out of about 150 products that I've used in the last 10 years - this piece of 'hardware' is the worst product I've ever used. If you are lucky - it MIGHT work fairly reliably for you. It might.

Best box!

This box is incredible. I have never had a problem since I got it. With my HD TV, the picture is so clear. I really recommend it!!!!

Piece Of Junk

This product is a piece of junk. After it is used for over 5 hours, it usually freezes the picture and a hard boot is required to restore everything which takes about 10 minutes total. Every once in a while programs scheduled to record only record 1 minute of program. The box is made too small and the hard drive heats up causing failure (freezing). Poor design. There is no heat exhaust fan in the box. I have read different reviews with people having the same problem. I have installed a lap top cooling fan pad under the box which keeps the box running longer without rebooting after 5 hours of use. The only good thing about this box is that it has 8 tuners so you can record 7 programs while watching one channel live.
