Do not buy, waste of time and money

returned it the same day i bought it. It replaces your battery pack and plugs into your controller, and then it comes with a cord that plugs into the pack. For some reason after every 10 or so minutes of playing, it makes the controller loose connection with your xbox, over and over. it also causes your aim to go off to the side for no reason, impossible to enjoy this piece of garbage.

A great little piece of tech that will actually improve your game! I use this for Rainbow Six: Siege and it's saved my life more than once. You can map buttons on the fly seamlessly, and it's comfortable and efficient. One downside is that this gadget replaces the batteries in your controller so you MUST be wired in at all times in order to use it. I prefer it this way, so that doesn't bother me, especially since the wire provided is long and sturdy. It does take a while to get used to the paddles at the back, maybe a week or two if you're a serious gamer, but once you're used to them, it's hard to play without them. One thing to note is that my set will disconnect maybe once a month randomly. It's not really a big deal, but it has gotten me killed at least once. It works great with every game I've tried it on, including Battlefield 4/1, Titanfall 2 and all 360 games. The only exception is Halo 5. Another downside is if you have an external hard drive plugged in, and are using a headset, your controller may have problems staying connected. The Xbox can't handle powering all your gadgets at once. I use a hard drive with an external power source, so it's not drawing any extra energy from the Xbox. Still, while using a headset to play Halo 5, my controller would disconnect about every 10 minutes. Without a headset plugged in as well, it worked just fine. Also, the screws holding the paddles to the gadget are too tight on my unit. I cannot remove them. As far as the software goes, I haven't tried any to make a comment. The setup isn't very straightforward. Mods don't appeal to me anyway. Despite these minor cons, I highly recommend these paddles. They're a fraction of a cost of Elite/Scuff controllers and you can use them with the controllers you already own. With all the other gadgets you can get to try and improve your game, I believe this is the only one that will make a significant impact.

Definitely worth it

I purchased this product about a week ago and have already but some pretty good hours of intense use on it. I have also owned the Elite controller but hated the paddle placement/sensitivity. I believe these paddles with a standard controller are a much better option. At this point I am greatly pleased with my purchase and have zero issues. I am not experiencing the issue of controller disconnect that others have described and i move around quite a bit when i game, i will keep this updated if any changes happen. I have been playing claw for the past year and although i have become comfortable with that way of holding the controller these paddles just feel right! I did notice an immediate improvement in my aim overall and my ability to out maneuver people in Black Ops 3/Infinite Warfare. All in all I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who enjoys fast pace fps games. They are useful in other games such as racers but their greatest benefit is in fps games.

Forget Scuff and Elite

Fantastic setup. Durable. No drawbacks if you use Astro A40's (the best). You're wired by default, but that's no big deal, and probably more responsive. My Elite paddles stopped working well about 3 months in. No bueno.

Just One MAJOR Headset Problem

I had played around with two of these both brand new in the box, and loved all the features that came with it. Also the paddles worked very well. The only major problem I found with both units I tested were that when you plugged a chat microphone in to the controller while using the unit. It would lose connection after about 5 to 10 minutes, and the lights on the back would start flashing. From there you have to unplug and replug the micro usb cable to get the unit to start up again for another 5 to 10 minutes. VERY ANNOYING!!! For I am a competitive multiplayer type gamer. This was NOT a problem when using the unit without the chat microphone.

Can't play COD without it!

I purchased the Strike Pack adapter as well as the trigger adapters that Collective Minds sells. They both work amazing, I have set my jump and slide buttons to the back allowing me to never take my fingers off the thumb-sticks. I couldn't imagine playing the game without these mods! Save yourself and turn your controller into a Scuff/Elite controller. The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is because the controller has to be plugged in via USB (comes with the cables) and not allowing the controller to be wireless. Its worth the buy if your a big FPS player.

Pretty good with a notable con.

PROS: Works great, easy setup. Automatically makes the wireless controller a wired one so you useful if you don' want to charge or use batteries. Adds useful functionality for FPS games. Allows you to pull off moves you wouldn't normally be able too since you can keep both thumbs usually on both thumbsticks at all times. CONS: Definitely takes some time getting used too and can/will hinder your performance during the "break in" period. Definitely lowers your mic volume so you will need to speak louder than normal for people to hear you.
