good desktop server

shipped with a disconnected drive controller cable, so was DOA until we opened it up and saw the obvious issue. overall works well as a graphics workstation. difficult to upgrade to an SSD because you have to deal with the RAID controller (the machine only ships with one drive and it is mapped to a virtual drive with RAID 0 anyways). The existing drive is a SATA 10k drive, which sounds fast but just isn't and is clearly the bottleneck, and if you are doing important work on this computer you probably want to think twice about a used hard drive for anything primary anyways. Once you figure that RAID controller setting out - and it is well documented online - the thing is very fast. The quadro 600 1 gb graphics card is sort of minimum for solidworks, and is worth sub 50 dollars these days because it is discontinued, but it is solid. Recommend upgrading to windows 10, which was also very easy once you figure out the raid configuration.

good graphics workstation so far

Seems like a good value. so far so good with solidworks. The upgrade to Windows 10 was perfectly smooth. Buyers should be aware that this has a RAID controller and a RAID drive with an uncommon sata port. SSD would be faster, although admittedly this is a fast physical drive. Also, the video card is a good one (the nvidia quadro 600), but that particular card is a discontinued model and a new one is now under 50 dollars, so don't buy based on that.
