Denon Recievers with the sweet sights and sounds of movies, music, and more

Denon AVR receivers bring home a world of entertainment with access to 4K, HDR, and 3D video, audio with Dolby Atmos processing and support for DTS:X, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Denon AVR-S920W 7.2-channel network AV receiver is your ticket to total home theatre entertainment. It features support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X multidimensional audio, as well as HDMI 2.0a support for 4K Ultra HD, HDR, and 3D video. Advanced video processing also lets you upscale HD media to near-4K quality.

More Information

7.2-channel surround sound system

  • With 7 channels, each capable of delivering 90 watts of power, the AVR-S920W produces clear, enveloping sound that brings movies, sports, and video games to vivid life. You'll hear the whiz of bullets and the roar of the crowd like you're right there in the centre of the action.
  • Dual subwoofer units give you the option to connect 2 small subwoofers instead of 1 large sub. This produces deeper, smoother, more detailed bass.
  • Optional ECO Mode lowers power consumption when the unit is on. It can also be set to automatically adjust power consumption to match with the current volume level, or it can be turned off entirely.

4K Ultra HD and 3D video processing

  • Support for 4K Ultra HD video and HDR (High Dynamic Range) video means you can enjoy 4K content at an astonishing resolution of 3840 x 2160. That means detail is clearer and colours are richer, so watching TV will feel like you're looking through a window.
  • Support for 3D video gives you the option of connecting the receiver to a 3D TV. 3D content pops off the screen to bring depth and lifelike visual appeal to your favourite movies and shows.
  • Upscaling technology in the receiver means you can keep your library of HD content and enjoy it in near-4K quality. The receiver also features analog video to HDMI upconversion with 2 analog component video inputs. This gives you full compatibility with legacy SD and HD devices.
  • The receiver also supports HDCP 2.2 DRM copy protection, 4:4:4 pure colour sub-sampling, BT.2020 pass-through, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. You can have peace of mind that you're covered for the future of 4K and 3D.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X multidimensional sound

  • Built-in Dolby Atmos support delivers immersive 3D surround sound using object-based coding rather than channel-based coding. This allows media creators to precision-place every sound heard in a film, television show, or video game.
  • The receiver also supports DTS:X, which will be available via a future firmware upgrade. Like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X allows sound designers to place sounds anywhere in a 3D acoustic space, creating a rich, enveloping, multidimensional experience.

Natural high-performance sound

  • Audyssey DSP features, including MultEQ room acoustic measurement and correction, are built into the AVR-S920W. During the setup process, MultEQ measures speaker and subwoofer output, then applies correction filters to achieve the most natural tonal balance for your space.
  • Audyssey Dynamic Volume uses advanced DSP processing to provide a wide-band response, even when volume levels are low, producing theatre-calibre clarity for dialogue.

Networking, streaming, and device connectivity

  • Built-in Wi-Fi lets you connect to your wireless home network and stream content from services such as Spotify and Sirius XM. All of your favourite tunes are a click away, presented in rich, crystal-clear surround sound.
  • Bluetooth, AirPlay, Android push playback, and DLNA 1.5 compatibility also let you stream content from a range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs. For added ease, the Denon Remote App lets you control the receiver with your smartphone or tablet, including Apple or Android devices.
  • 8 HMDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs let you connect a full range of HD devices to your home theatre setup, including gaming consoles, cable boxes, Blu-ray players, and media players.

great sound

Have this AV receiver hooked to Klipsh speakers (5.1) and the sound for TV,CD music, and DVD Blue ray movies is incredible. In my opinion, this is a great receiver for the money.

1 - It works, 2 - Makes me happy!

Bought this unit to replace my dying AVR-3300 Of 16 years old), after a disastrous try of Onkyo's TXNR646 (With a unit that never should have made it out the factory if quality control had been on top of things), I'm very happy with this new unit. Note that to control it with the app (That gets love it or hate it ratings), you'll have to enable wi-fi even if the instructions suggest an ethernet connection. One good thing is all HDMI ports are UHD compliant, so you won't have to start counting the plugs on this unit once it becomes the norm. Also, DTS:X is not yet enabled but should be with a firmware update planned for august 2016. On setup, sound measurements are taken in 6 locations, which is more accurate that only one, and done with tones that are much less annoying to hear than some competitor's white noise. Well worth it especially these days on special...!
