Great value for the money jazz guitar

This guitar is a very accurate replica of the original Gibson model released in 50's. With the Gibson pickup 's on board, it is as close as it could be to the Gibson, within this price range. Vast majority of musicians and players, can not afford to buy the original Gibson re-issue and this guitar is a fair substitute. My guitar arrived perfectly set up, with very low action, no buzz, and good intonation. Even tuning was very close, just a little bit off, out of the box. I have to say that this guitar is way better playable out of the box, comparing to my 2007 Gibson Les Paul, that required lot of adjustments and set up. One thing that is exceptional, when compared to any other guitar that I played, and I played many, is the performance of volume and tone knobs. Turning them is a matter if a soft touch, no resistance, smooth, even....can not be better. This feature is very important for an old school players who rely on the knobs completely to adjust their tone. The sound of the guitar is what you could hear on George Benson's records and I am sure that he played, early in his career, a guitars that are not better than this Epi. This type of guitars, the hollow body, sounds very differently from a solid body guitars. This model could be played as an acoustic, with the little less volume than regular acoustic guitar, and it could sound like Django Reinhardt guitars. This particular guitar is matte natural, not glossy, which I like.....although I did not know that. I suppose the entire reissue may be matte. Mine is pale natural, so I call it "peroxide blonde", which is, of course synonym for very attractive. I am satisfied with the quality of this instrument and value for the money and would recommend it to a jazz and rockabilly enthusiast's and musicians.
