NO DUPLEX ABILITY (TWO SIDED PRINTING) MAKES ME VERY SAD!

I have to tell you...I was so excited to purchase this unit. Easy set up, great customer service, great help line, great printing...until I needed to print a document using duplex (two sided printing) I have owned MANY printers over the years some inexpensive others higher end and ALL came with two sided printing option so I never thought I would need to make sure it was an option. Good news.. Best Buy will allow for a return, exchange, upgrade...Whew..... If you don't need an auto print both sides option.. This is an AWESOME printer! but I think why I know it's less expensive than the older model? EPSON, who have me... please don't loose me! Not making Duplex printing on such an expensive and higher end model is just plain wrong!

Avoid this printer

Printer is about 5 months old and has seen little use. Maybe I got a lemon, but after it sits for a day it locks up. Computer can't see it and power button doesn't respond, have to pull the plug and restart it. When printing it has vertical lines. Nozzle check shows plugged nozzles. After cleaning nozzles 3 to 10 times it may print one page without the lines. Then they come back again. Power Ink Flushing doesn't help. I plan on sending this back to Epson as it's still under warranty. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

It can't print real red color

this is a perfect product but when I tried to Print some picture that the base color of them is red , I confronted with problem. It prints pink instead of red color . I tried with different settings but each time it printed other color than red. if you want to use this printer as a professional printer , I really don't suggest it.

Initial comments on the Epson et2550

I found the setup to be very easy, The instructions were clear and accurate, and the ink loading trouble-free. I suspect the folks who had trouble with leakage were probably squeezing too hard.... I used little squirts, and took my time. The only small issue was that it couldn't initialize the Wi-Fi connection automatically, I had to input the router password manually, an easy process. The first photo print out to the tray astounded me. I have used another brand for quite some time, and thought it did an excellent job on photos. There was no comparison to the et2550 output. This printer rocks!

Epson ET-2550 Printer

The printer delivers on my expectations and meets my needs to both print documents and photographs. After a bit of a learning curve, it has become more intuitive and user-friendly.

EPSON 2550

As a teacher and educator, I am always cautious of printing materials at home because the cost of ink cartridges and the frequency at which they get used is never-ending. When we got our Epson 2550 the intention was to do exactly that- not worry about what, how much and when to print. Setup was straightforward and not an issue at all. Ink filling was clean and simple and after two weeks of use, I’m still trying to overcome the norms of getting ready to run out of ink- but the ink levels displayed on the tanks are still full. Epson has truly revolutionized the industry with such a simple but crucial process of helping the consumers not worry about ink cartridges anymore.

Don't buy this printer for printing photos

Epson Tech support states the following "Be sure to change your Paper Type accordingly. This is a four color printer so photo printing will be limited." I am not totally unsatisfied with the quality of my photos, on Epson paper only but, a much cheaper (not including cartridges) Canon printer is better printing photos with any paper. I'm not sure about the statement regarding using only four colors but the Canon and the Epson 2550 use three colors each (plus black). Also this printer and the more expensive 4550 will not print borderless prints. Why? Epson Tech Support states there will not be a software update to correct this. If you like the idea of lots of pages and only want to print the odd photo, this may be a good printer!

Ecotank 2550

I was hesitant about spending the money on initial cost but am now very happy that I did. The printer works very well and although I had a bit of trouble loading the ink - we are warned that the process can be a bit "spilly" - my fault then and not the printers. I am glad that I did make the decision to buy and would do it again in a heart beat.

great printer1

having the ink in the tanks is a great idea. You can easily see what your ink level is at any time. It is also very economical to purchase more ink comparatively. It prints well but is a little slower than our previous printer. This printer works so much better in all other ways that waiting a few seconds is not a big deal. All in all I would highly recommend this printer!
