The fridge worked well for about 2 months and then the fridge won't keep cold. The freezer stayed frozen, but the fridge did not.
Booked a service call and the technician came and disassembled the inside back panel of the freezer. There you can see ice had built up on the coils and a bunch of sensor He melted the ice on the coils and the sensors, tested a bunch of sensors and then moved one sensor that was positioned on the right side toward the middle so it wouldn't get frosted over. When ice accumulated on the sensor, it thought the fridge was cold enough and didn't direct any cold air to the fridge.
with the senor in the middle, we no long have any any issues with the fridge.
The fridge looks great, is counter depth and has glass shelves that adjust. However after having it for 1 month, the fridge high temperature light would come on. The freezer stayed frozen but the fridge was at 15 degrees Celsius and wasn't going down. There was a bunch of ice on the freezer back wall. After 3 days there was less ice on the freezer back wall and the fridge temp lowered to the set temperature. When checking the temp with a thermometer, the bottom half was a degree or 2 within the set temp of 1 degree but the top half was between 6 to 8 degrees. Definitely too high as food will spoil faster at that temp.
Had a service tech in and he disassembled the freezer inside back cover revealing the upper half of the coils and some sensors covered in ice. The sensors he tested were ok and moved a sensor toward the middle centre to keep it from being covered in ice after melting the ice with a hot air gun and steamer. We'll see if this is 'fix' did the job in a month or 2.
