Nice and bright. A lot easier on the eyes. Colors are absolutely beautiful and rich. Excellent product. What a difference from my older monitor (which was still in good condition). Highly recommended

Love This Monitor

Just bought it nov 27th because my monitor quit working. Dale from Port moody made a comment on the power supply should have been built on the inside instead of being on the outside of the unit. that is one of the reasons i bought this monitor. the monitors with the power supply on the inside run hotter and burn out the capacitors that is why they quit working. i lost two monitors in a short time because of the power supply inside. this is a great monitor with very good features. i like the My Display software that comes with it.

Sleek & Functional

The monitor is working well (bought it Dec 2013). It's light, sleek, not much physical footprint for a 27in. It performs well (note though I'm only using it for an extended monitor for my work laptop, no video/gaming or other high demand apps). I bought it on sale which makes the value for the features even higher. Reg price, I'd knock the value from 5 to 4. To make it a full 5/5 it would be a nice to have for more tilt/adjustment options.

Dale

Bought this yesterday. The monitor over all is OK. The colour is good but not spectacular. I used my old HP W2408 as a comparison for that. The software improves the quality of the colour though. Overall there is nothing to complain about except for one thing. The power cable. There is an adapter that plugs into the back of the monitor. The power cable plugs into that. They should have simply built the adapter requirements into the monitor instead of having the adapter taking up space on the floor. Also, something that is rarely mentioned, the screen is glossy not mat. If you go over 24", reflections are very hard to escape. Thus a mat screen is what I prefer in a 27" monitor. The DVI input makes the monitor compatible with some of the older video cards.

Beat monitor

This has such good colour and it's very clear the only thing I found a problem is that it doesn't have much tilt and it only allows 65 fps

BIG Monitor, make sure you have the space

Have had the Monitor for approx. 6 months now. Had to replace a great old ViewSoinc. It performs really well and it looks good. I would caution buyers that it looks bigger at home than in the store... Make sure you want a Monitor this big. You can open two Word Documents side by side easily, or Web Browser and something else... Did I mention this monitor was big?

Awesome! Just need 1 more for the Tri-Fecta

Bought one of these monitors last year when it was on sale. I have been gaming on monitors that come as package pc deals and figured it was time to make my video cards work a bit harder! Colors pop off of the screen, image quality is great, and the styling is awesome. Wish it could tilt more or be height adjustable, but for a sub-500 IPS as pretty as this, im not going to complain. I now have 2 of these running off of my 4gb gtx 670 ftw and am waiting for the price to drop again so I can add a third for surround!!!

Excellente

I've been using this monitor for 9 months and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Colours are amazing compared to my old monitor which I use as a secondary. HD video is great. The screen size is great for using multiple windows on one screen or video editing. Gaming was a bit hard at first because there's so much screen to look at but you can simply run the games in a window (I run in fullscreen though to enjoy the colour). The power button really impressed me (you'll know why when you try it). I have yet to try a better monitor than this one. For the price, I doubt you can beat it.

nice monitor, but ...

I've had this less than 3 months & the power button won't work any more. I can't turn it off unless I unplug it. I have talked to HP support & am now waiting to hear back as to a replacement or repair. The monitor looks awesome but I just don't think it should be konking out this soon.

Excellent monitor - highly recommended

I bought this monitor during the Holidays (2013) for [price]. Knowing full well that it had a resolution of 1920 x 1080, this monitor is simply astounding! It has great color depth, excellent brightness and performs very well in both regular use and in gaming. That's right, even with a specified 7 ms response time, this monitor does not lag during games (shooter games). I recommended this monitor to a friend and he also loves it. By far the best monitor I've had so far (Acer, Samsung and Viewsonic). Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!

I bought LG 21" first, but I found there was a tiny red dot on the screen, also I felt the performance is not clear, so return it. And then I followed other customer's review and bought the HP 27" . I am very satisfacted with it.

Excellent monitor for 27 inch

If you use with DVI cable, the picture is more crispier. I bought another 27 inch monitor (would not tell the brand), but this one is much better. with this monitor, I bought another monitor which is 24 inch from same brand. Will monitor this over 3-4 years and see how this monitor stays alive because this is the first time I am buying Benq monitor.

Great monitor for the price

This is a great monitor for gaming and web surfing. 27" is a very large screen when sitting right in front of you. I was concerned that 1080p might look pixelated being displayed on a large screen and 12" from my face but its not. I had to tinker with the settings on my video card to get the colour just right because the options that are offered on the monitor didn't do the job. For [price] though I can't complain. With regards to gaming there is no blurring or ghosting and being able to see far off targets in fps's is nice. All in all it good but if you need colour accuracy I might look at a more expensive monitor.

Its average

I bought this monitor on sale for [price] which is great value! However, it wasn't what expected. The back panel is plastic and It doesn't feel that it would have been worth the [price] regular price tag. There were a few issues, the HDMI would only sometimes work, I had to restart the monitor a few times for it to work. Also, no built in speakers, and there was no way aux jack for seperate speakers. On top of that, if your monitor is near a window, the glare is pretty bad. For a 27", My older Asus VE247 has better screen quality, which is to be expected since this is a 27" with the same resolution. The colours are good, but not great. It wouldn't hurt if the panel was a bit brighter. Lastly, If you are to use this monitor for gaming, there is a bit of input lag, which is noticeable and to be expected from a IPS panel with 5ms. Overall, despite these issues, It is a good monitor if you can get it on sale. It doesn't do anything particularly well but has good value at [price] (price I got it for). It is an average 27" monitor which could use a bit of quality control, and probably a few extra features and maybe an extra HDMI port. In the end, I returned mines and opted to go for the ASUS MX279 which triumps this monitor in almost every way, but it is more expensive. This monitor is not worth the [price] price tag, you might as well go for the Asus MX279H which is only $50 more, and is a lot better. But if you catch it on sale, and are looking for an all purpose monitor, tat [price], It is a decent deal.

Not bad for $200

I got it for [price] delivered, but I wouldn't pay more. It's pretty good for the price. I plugged it in and it worked. It was easy to put together. Surprisingly it came with VGA and DVI cables. Didn't have HDMI cable though. Quality is nothing to write home about. Haven't had time to watch HD movies on it yet, but expectations are low. You get what you pay for and I got what I want.

Excellent Value

Was able to pic this unit up on sale and there are no disappointments. Comes with monitor calibration and tools that let you customize. Only mild draw backs are the glossy finish for the screen and frame and the lack of HDMI cable. This monitor is also lighter than my last 19 inch LCD.

Good bang for the buck

I got this on sale during boxing day sales, it was a big upgrade from my old Samsung 24" 245bw. HP colors are really bright and vibrant, the whites really pop out when I compare it to my old monitor. The bevel-less style saves a lot of room on my desk, and fits nicely. I can't believe I waited this long to upgrade to an LED display... I should have done so way sooner.

Great monitor!! Crisp, clear and super slim.

I've been using this monitor for a few weeks now as my main monitor for business. The resolution and image quality is incredibly crisp using the DVI connection. The slim profile is nice as it doesn't take up much room on your workstation. With the LED technology, I have no doubt that it is very energy efficient. There are two things that I wish the monitor had: 1) A taller and adjustable base. The 3" lift is barely enough. I had to raise the base another 2" to get the screen to a proper level for me. 2) The monitor adjustment panel on the bottom right corner is not marked. A subtle marking would be nice to indicate the location of these controls. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and would buy it again and/or recommend it to a friend.

A good purchase

I have used this screen for more than a week, around 3 to 4 hours a day. Everything is good. The slim look is superb (with the power supply separated from the body). It is so light that I use double-side tape to keep it from moving when I press the power button. This is not a complain. In fact, decrease in weight is good for the castors of my computer desk. Before I bought this, I had concern about a "glossy" screen. Turns out that the glossy screen is not reflective--good for my eyes. It is not easy to adjust the color of this monitor. Anyway, this is true for all the monitors (more than 10) I have used in the past many years. I will recommend this monitor for people who don't need an expensive and fancy model. However, I don't play games. So I have no advice on the response time.

HP 27" IPS LED Backlit Monitor

Totally pleased with this screen. The quality is great and the price was terrific, too. I've purchased a lot of HP products through the years and have never been disappointed. Great Screen at a Great Price

I'm really liking this screen. If you're looking for something simple, sleek, and elegant, this is a great price for a screen this size. The resolution is amazing... I've got TV into one input, my computer into another and my laptop into the VGA. Easy switching if you're using the multiple inputs. Great whites and color!

Excellent Monitor!

I got this monitor on sale and is an excellent monitor at this price point. I was concerned about the 7ms refresh rate, but after testing out the monitor on the computer, xbox 360 and PS3 - I have no complaints about image quality. The only issue is lack of built-in speakers. If you can get this monitor on sale, it's well worth it. Thanks.

High Quality IPS Screen

Managed to purchase this unit on sale. Most other comparable displays, as a similar cost do NOT have and IPS display, or LED back-lighting. These 2 features provide for an outstanding clarity and contrast. I purchased this monitor to replace a higher resolution 24 " monitor 1920x1200 and with a slight adjustment to the icon sizing was able to have a similar experience, with a higher quality 27 "screen at a lower cost. Although response time is slightly higher (This is due to IPS screen) it is not noticeable in any way. Outstanding quality and performance. The only way to go...
