HP 15.6" Laptop

I really like the screen size, hard drive capacity (1 TB), speed of the laptop and the numeric keyboard on PC - fantastic! The only possible issue (and it is really related to the location of the wifi in my girlfriend's house) is the "medium" power wifi "antenna" in the PC. I did have to purchase a wifi expander so that the PC can be located where it is required, this is as far away as possible (unfortunately) from where the wifi is situated, but such is life. The PC is quick to start, quick to turn off, and with the wifi expander, no issues at all with wifi speed and bandwidth. A very good laptop PC for the price.

HP 15.6" laptop (intel core i7, 1tb,8 gigs, Windows Home)

I purchased this HP to update my computing. It is very fast, multi-tasks well, has an interesting keyboard which so far is convenient and works great. Not sure that the battery life is as long as suggested. And, of course Windows 10 takes some getting used to. This laptop does not have an internal dvd player/burner, but no problem, an external one is not too expensive, and keeps the weight down and the battery life up. Good sound, great screen. I am a home user and would not give a professional eval, but my computer engineer brother was impressed with the package.

wonderful item

i have purchased this laptop in January . it has everything . good speed good performance . if you want to buy a i7 just go for it. i put 4 star just because the mouse pad is little bit rough and battery backup is only 3-4 hours with full brightness if you will use it on half brightness it will give you backup of 6 hours.

Good for Daily Use

I'm a full time university student who plays video games casually and talks/video calls with my friends often. This laptop so far has been great. Pros: - Good at multitasking, I can run Discord, Skype, Microsoft Office, iTunes, and Google Chrome all together, even while watching a 1080p Youtube video or livestream without lag - It gets pretty dim, which is useful for late nights studying - The trackpad has actual mouse buttons - I can play heavily modded video games on decent settings and get around 60fps, which is definitely doable for people that aren't pro - It doesn't overheat Cons: - The screen is sort of flimsy and after less than six months it has a few light spots from transport - The wifi connection is not the best and whenever too many people log on I get disconnected for a solid minute. - There's a lot of bloatware, but that was easy to uninstall. The ones that won't uninstall are a Win10 issue Overall: the pros far outweigh the cons, and I've really enjoyed my time with it so far.

Not Impressed

Paying as much as [price] plus tax for a laptop, your expectations are going to be pretty high. As a student, I need something fast, long battery life, nothing that's going to have bugs into the second week of use. After turning on this laptop, attempting to login, the screen begain to flash off and on, continuing for a good 15 minutes until finally restarting. I then proceeded to log in again, and accessing anything on this system was crazy slow. This is an i7, 'fast' 'the best,' bull. I could go on, but I don't need to say much more besides I'm unhappy with this product and will be taking it back tomorrow.

I can't believe they make a laptop like this in 2016

Fist, beware that the specs look good but this is only a dual-core i7. Half the performance of the quad-core. But the real kicker is that it only has 2.4 GHz wifi! I set this up in an apartment and couldn't figure out why the internet wasn't working. Turns out that not only does it not have AC wireless, it doesn't even have 5GHz band. If you are in an area where there are 50 wireless signals and some idiot has their router set to channel 3 then you are hooped --- good luck getting wifi to work. 5GHz wifi is such a standard these days that it is easy to overlook. Why didn't they just put wireless B?

good and bad

The laptop runs smoothly in overall. However, the wireless device isn't really powerful. My old laptop(bought 3 years ago) has better network speed than this one. The keyboard is not really user-friendly. the up and down arrow key are tiny. Sometimes, when you runs some applications. The laptop get quite noisy. Thus, I decide to return this laptop after 1 week of use experience.
