This is my new lap top.

It is fast. It is filled with fantastic features. I must get myself organized to be able to have it's very advanced cape ilities. I am having problems with me because I want to have a same sat up as I had before and it will take me a little longer. But I will succeeded and I will be happy. The Geek squad was an unbelievable huge help for me. Thank you for the one who very patiently guided me with the set up I am happy.

Works for me

I have very limited knowledge about laptops, so I don't have a lot to say. So far, the product has met my needs and expectations. Picture quality is somewhat suspect, but not a deal breaker; quad core would have been ideal, but that isn't a deal breaker for me. I can't say much about battery life, because the computer sits on my desk and is plugged in all the time. When I go out, I take my iPad. I have no complaints to this point, but I've only had the machine for a couple of weeks. Would I buy it again? Most likely. Are there better deals? Probably.

Awesome

This computer is awesome. Its fast but the sound sucks. Its not that loud I need to add a portable speaker to get a louder sound. I would recommend this computer to anyone who needs a computer with great speed.

DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!

Worse pc ever! Problematic right out of the box. Lasted just long enough to surpass the warranty period.

Nice large screen

So far so good. I like the large screen. It's a larger, heavier notebook than I've had before but I just use it at home so easy to move withinhouse. I'm used to a different feeling keyboard but that will just take time to get used to.

Good Laptop

Pros: Fast, plenty of RAM, good display Misses: no light on power button, L shaped power cord seems flimsy Purchased recently, but so far this laptop is performing flawlessly. Much better than the Dell AMD 12-9700 which I had to return due to being severely under powered.. Intel's7th generation 2 core processors are much faster than AMD's quads. I have not had any of the issues one reviewer noted, about display, connection and audio dropping on this laptop, butI've had them on other laptops - they are usually due to software incompatibilities - drivers, anti-virus etc...not particular to any brand.

17.3 Laptop

Really I would give it no stars but then I couldn't write the review! Had to order 5 times, then paid express, after 2 weeks, called and they can't find it!! Oh and I have to wait another 10 days or more to get my refund until they do find it! Best Buy sucks

the worst computer

please don't buy this computer I bought in September had to exchange for another one after the screen on the laptop didn't work properly. took the new one home. the internet kept on disconnecting. had to install and reinstall internet drivers 3 times bc this problem kept on happening, the same with the sound. sometimes the sound would work and the next day decide to not work again so I had to go in fix the problem.. numerous times. calls to hp.com were unhelpful nor would they allow me to return it although it was under warranty. then the icons on my computer stopped working. Then I got a lecture from the hp customer service rep IN ASIA telling me that I should feel fortunate that I have the benefit of a warranty when people in INDIA have to wait two weeks for their computers to be fixed!! 799.00 wasted. I had this computer for 4 mos. |I will never by hp again

Why only 2 Cores?

AMD's HP laptops come with 4 Core with an equivalent i5 status!

Great, HOWEVER!

Sturdy piece of machinery. It has a 620 in it, which isn't as bad. You can play some games, including GTA 5 on low settings, etc. Keyboard feels great. There is no keyboard flex and I love that. I can't tell you how many times I have owned laptops that had so much flex I felt like I could bend the laptop in half! It doesn't slowdown, especially when it starts heating up. I DO wish it had a fan. Everyone now thinks that going thin is better. Well, it's not. Trust me... Battery is exceptional. I find at times I DO have to plug the charger in at times but that's okay. Now initially, when I went was looking at this machine in person. I thought the viewing angles were poor. Good thing I don't move much when I'm working otherwise I'd be annoyed. I'd give this machine a 8/10

For the price this is I would say this is a steal. The screen is BIG and can run games or anything like its counting the abc's. The only problem is the battery, when playing games the battery dies pretty quickly.Overall this is a Great
