Since you can't give zero stars - Would not buy again

I read the reviews and bought it anyway - after all I just wanted this camera for time lapse photos- How hard can that be? Seems iON includes this feature in the instruction manual(s) but not on the app or camera. Wi-Fi is flaky, Bluetooth - can't be discovered, app is painfully slow and old school. App doesn't include the features described in the manual. Archaic means to set date and time (which doesn't work either), No real options to set, can't set default password for Wi-Fi connection (seriously - hardcoded passwords in today's day and age) Keep far away from this device -

Wi-Fi connection is basically not working

This is a cheap but terrible device. The problem of connecting via Wi-Fi to my iPhone. It cannot connect, stay connected or stream video reliably. Single tap to take a photo and double taps to take a video work most of the time. I will give it a second try tonight. Otherwise, I will send it back to where it came from.

Unusable

Couldn't get it to hold a charge. Couldn't tell if it was working. Couldn't connect it to my iPhone or iPad, let alone live stream video. I was able to connect it to my laptop after some work. Tried to contact support and never heard back from them. returned the product.

Terrible Device, Returning mine tomorrow!

I was hoping to use this for an upcoming concert I'm going to, but after 2 days of playing with it, I'm not even going to bother wasting anymore time with it. I'm returning it tomorrow. The video quality isn't the issue, though I would like to see better stabilization for something that costs this much. The real issues are connectivity, the app, the tap function, lack of physical buttons, and the date stamp. CONNECTIVITY The SnapCam uses both Wi-Fi & Bluetooth to communicate with your device. But maintaining these connections, or even making a connection can be extremely troublesome, making it unreliable. Also, in order for the app to communicate with the SnapCam, you have to connect the it's built in Wi-Fi, this means you can forget about using a Wi-Fi or LTE connection while your using the app, and you can forget about streaming a live broadcast over LTE/Wi-Fi while using the app. I like to use the app because you can see what you're recording and if you are in fact recording at all. Which with this device, is something of an uncertainty. APP I tested the app on my iPhone 5 running iOS 9.2.1, and I had nothing but issues with it. As mentioned above, I had difficulties on many occasions with the connection, and I was never able to download or even view any photos or media that the SnapCam had taken. The software (app) is also poorly designed. TAP FUNCTION This is as bad as Blackberries alphabet. There's only 1 button on this device (Power), if you want to play, stop record, take a picture etc, you have to tap the device the right number of times. Let's hope you're not intoxicated or have anyone bump into you (more on that later). It's going to be a learning curve to say the least, well you'll have to remember all the right tap methods anyways, and my memory ain't that good. #aintnobdygottimeforthat PHYSICAL BUTTONS I really wish above all else this had physical buttons. It really would have given me more confidence that the product is actually doing what I want. After all, with no screen to see what you're doing, how do you know it's working? (Sure the app does this, but get ready for connections issues and to kill your phones battery life having the BlueTooth and WiFi on. TIME & DATE STAMP I followed the simple instructions and couldn't get the time and date stamp to work. A technician at iON said this function is broken and not working. I found that quite amusing... THE WEAK MAGNET! This isn't a cheap throw away camera, it's expensive! And you're GOING TO LOOSE IT! Some genius at iON made not 1, but two mistakes. 1.) The magnets included with this are terrible, and weak. It will fall off if you're running or get bumped into, or brush up against some bush. Rare Earth magnets would have worked so much better. 2.) They failed to do what just about every camera maker or cellphone maker has done since the dawn of time (ok maybe not that long). They didn't include support for a hand/wrist strap! I'm sure someone will make cases for these that include such support, but I haven't seen any yet, and it should be supported from the get go by the manufacture. #fail
