Is easy to set up and use. Sound quality is excellent.
Fantastic for incoming call. No luck to make a proper out going call. I am using Iphone 6S with Siri enabled and also downloaded Jabra assist app. Out going call is not consistent and picking randomly and make call to unwanted numbers.
It has issues with connecting to the cell periodically does not always auto connect and if it doesn't want to connect it's a bother teasing it into connecting. That being said when it does connect it works well and has a good volume level tor higher noise areas or half deaf people like me. Pairing was a no brainer paired in seconds. FM transmitter works very well tunable through the whole FM dial. If they fix the connections issue it would be a great hands-Free device My experiences were on two different phones the Galaxy S5 and S7, connection issue stayed the same, connected when it wanted to not all the time. Would give it a solid 5 but for the connection issues.
I've had it a few weeks now and like it. Clear, loud and easy to use. If I had to pick a sore point it is the on/off sliding button...kind of a pain.
This device worked very well with a very quick connect when I got into the car. Also speaker quality was good and the mic was clear...to the point that the other party I was speaking with did not know I was on a hands free speaker! The FM transmitter worked seamlessly as well and the issue was finding a clear channel in my area. Once not used it disconnected from the FM automatically to save battery. It did come on automatically as well and shut off without the use of the manual switch. I highly recommend this! I did get mine on sale so value was great. Otherwise I would rate at 3 stars for value
We bought this for the second car. It works very good and now it has ease of use buttons.
I've had one of these in my work vehicle for the past year. Excellent battery life, call quality, and FM transmission for listening to all those podcasts while driving 15-20 hours each week. So when it went on sale (50%) I bought another for my personal vehicle. Now both myself and my partner can avoid the drudgery of FM radio stations and listening to enlightening and entertaining podcasts (such as RadioLab and BBC Documentaries) instead.
Using iPhone 5c and 4s. No compatibility issues whatsoever.
I bought this hoping also to play music from my phone fm built in transmitter in car Audio system. It was very distrauted and was not clear .
The unit can't read text to voice as the Jabra Tour. Due to this upon receiving a call it does give you the number but not the name if you have programmed. Also you use voice command function to dial by name ( like : call John Mobile )
People in the other end of the call said it like a digital voice .
Buy the Jabra tour which has longer talk time. HD voice , Text to voice and compact size if you moving from vehicle to vehicle like I do .
Works great with "hey Siri" on my Iphone6. Use the phone's voice control and not the speaker's.
Incoming calls are clear and worked fine. However, cannot make outgoing calls as it would dial incorrect number, play music instead or not register my command which defeats the purposes of handsfree calling while driving. Also battery check indicated no talk time available but appear to be able to continue talking. Even after recharging unit, battery check continue to indicate "0" talk time.
Was very disappointed after buying Jabra's top of the line car kit product that on the first call the caller said my voice was constantly kicking out. Then I discovered that it discovered the Jabra Assist app download to make voice commands for my contact list and that my phone - the Samsung Note 4 - was not able to download that APP as their were compatibility issues--NOT happy!! This was verified with another Note 4 phone that this App was not available on their phone either. I had to return the product
Its a very nice product. I will recommend it to everyone. I was looking for a good quality fm transmitter than i found this which also has a calling feature. Works great i got it on discount and really like it. Bluetooth works great.
Happy with my purchase. No issues so far.
Functionally OK - but only lasted for 16 months!
Purchased two and love it. Would recommend to all.
I got this during December Sale. The voice quality is pathetic. Always get to hear from other party about voice disturbances, voice breaking, unclear et al.
Frustrated after this bad purchase.
My recommendation - don't buy at all.
This is a great bluetooth device, but i wish that this device can handle more then 2 cell phones, as well as extreamly longer talk and standby time..
Bought one and had Issues with phone connectivity (I-Phone %S and Samsung Galaxy S3). Intermittently would make good calls followed by the person on the other end asking if you can call them back (horrible for working with customers). Got a second one, more of the same thing. The FM connection was a great idea...could never get it to sound clear or good and always had to adjust radio station to find one that would work. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
I bought this 2 months ago online during Boxing week. I charged it once early January and it's been in the car since without any further charging. It automatically detects my blackberry in the first few seconds entering the car. It's been extreme temperature and the car has been outside on the driveway (up to -35 wind chill) and I've had zero problems.
I haven't tried the FM feature yet. But great value if you get it on sale!
Fits the visor, though not a snug fit, hasn't fallen yet though.
Got it on Boxing Week 2014 sales [...]. So far I would say solid product.
I have yet to use the extra features like FM and voice calling. Sound is clear and can be too loud if volume set too high.
Only minor issue is visor positioning. I have this installed in a 2002 Honda CR-V.
When I flip the visor down to hard, the main talk button is initiated. Not a big problem.
Just had to adapt.
Two weeks old, received as a xmas gift, used three times to answer calls, and it does not work any more.
what else can I call it?
Bought on black Friday for $[...]- got a really good speaker phone and clear sounding speakers. The voice command controls are horrible and I refuse to try to use them any more. If I paid more, I would be disappointed but for the price I can live with it. It does exactly what I need.
I am using it for a year. In 95% the other side barely understand my speech. Looks like the noise reduction chops sound and transmits middle of the words.
I totally disappointed with Jabra and will never buy their product again.
I bought this primarily for (1) speaker for cell calls + GPS apps, (2) playing my iTunes library to my car speakers (older car no b/t or usb), (3) handsfree controls … in that priority order. I've been using for ~1 month.
Have never had any issues with bluetooth sync to my cell, flawless.
Speaker & mic for calls (and apps) works excellent, is clear.
I can finally hear my library on my awesome car speakers via FM instead of fiddling with CDs!
Device is much smaller than I thought, small physical footprint.
The handsfree control part didn't really work well for me (basic things like answer, end call, next track not bad, but recognizing address book was poor). This isn't a huge pri for me otherwise I'd rate the product a 4. I still don't really have Siri working well on it's own or ie. the Waze verbal commands.
Another reviewer mentioned having to pay for a subscription - there is no such extra cost or app afaik. Had some issues with audio from Waze GPS app being sent to Jabra (but that was the app). Google maps never had an issue & Waze now behaving nicely. In fact, if playing music library via FM + using GPS, the GPS volume will rise (music lower) temporarily so that hearing the directions take priority.
Charge seems to last awhile. I'm using it ~1hr/day or so, only had to charge it once so far.
The speakerphone synced flawlessly. Sound quality was great. Second time I got in my car and turned it on it synced to my phone. But it didn't. It told me it did. Very confusing operating as if you were connected and you weren't. Voice commands didn't work. Never got one name right when I tried to call. Getting the unit to understand the word battery was a task that ultimately failed. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone. I should have read the reviews first.
This was not a very good Bluetooth. Right from the beginning it breaks up and no one could hear me. Also, the app to go along with it costs [$price] and you have to buy a subscription to get all of the perks. I am not ok with that. I will be getting something else. Definitely will not try this company again either.
Makes calling in the car easy. Sound quality is good and people can hear me fine. My husband can also connect his phone to it as well. Very satisfied with this bluetooth, great product.
I purchased this during the Boxing Day sale back in December, so only paid $[...] for it compared to the regular price it is now selling at. I have used it for 3 months now and like the convenience of it instead of having an ear piece. It gives me the flexibility to answer the call or not. I have used the voice commands as well without any problems. The only thing is that if you are calling a new phone number, you have to do it from your phone but it connects.
I did find that when the weather was really cold, I had connection issues as it took a long time to recognize the cell phone.
Also on a plus side, it keeps its charge for a long time and lets you know when the battery is low.
It is a good product but would not pay full price for it, wait until it is on sale.
All of the functionality is great.
If I could improve it, I'd make the frequency for FM transmission configurable.
All in all works pretty good. Has trouble automatically connecting once in a while but it is easily rectified.
I am not too impressed so far with this product, hence my rating it a 2 for the performance. So far I have not yet been able to get the speakerphone to understand the commands, despite the instructions. For example, it does not yet seem to be in sync with my cell phone and sometimes will play music instead of calling a number which I request. So it has been frustrating and I plan on checking at Best Buy with a representative to see what I may be doing wrong OR if the speakerphone is defective.
I used 2 week so far, don't have any big problem. connection is good, battery life is good, voice is good(bad when it's maximum volume).
The only bad part I found is voice command. it won't follow my voice command, so I used button.
doesn't understand my command. sometime automatically disconnected.
It seems size is everything. This is probably the largest speakerphone you can buy but it works really well. Compared to the two other ones I've owned, I'm told by the folks on the other end that it gives the clearest reception. Also , the large size means the buttons are easy hit while you're on the road. The speaker is also really loud, which is good in a noisy vehicle. I'd recommend it. I had trouble getting a BT connection with my other Jabra, but this one connected right up - might just have been luck.
I needed a hands-free device for my van and bought this on sale Boxing Day. The speaker is quite loud, but you can turn it down. I've been told that I sound clear on the other end and haven't had any issues with it. Regular price is too much - definitely wait for a sale.
Bought 2 on boxing day and returned both. Although they were easy to pair to our phones; they didn't work well, voice command was quirky - said battery; and it went to call. spend 2 weeks trying to get them to work and finally gave up
Pretty good product for the price.
I find the speaker is not very loud in my truck but as good or better than other product I've tried.
It works well for phone calls. Very loud for a relatively small device, in fact my daughter complained that it was too loud when I first got it while she was sitting in the backseat. Tested the FM transmitter function and it works but I have a aux in on my car stereo so I don't use it. Have not tried the voice commands available with the unit but find that the Bluetooth works pretty well with Siri. Other Bluetooth devices that I have tried do not work well with Siri. I would recommend it to a friend.
Bought last year on boxing day. Most of the time does not understand commands. Phone call quality is bad. Speaker itself is good volume, and has an FM transmit function. However transmit function in my car works only at 106.3FM nothing else. Lasts for about 8-10 hours. I would not recommend it to anyone unless you want just a speaker functionality. Myself looking for a better option.
I bought this bluetooth speaker phone on sale. It has fm transmitter that is pretty cool. Voice commands some time u have to repeat the command but not all the time depends on the noise outside. The voice is very clear. It disconnects when u leave the car and reconnects When you get back into your car not perfect but close enough. I looked at a lot of different devices and this was the best one. It even has three speaker virtual surround sound. Yes I would recommend to any one that wants a good speaker phone.
Recently I have used this device as well as the BlueAnt S4. The Jabra Freeway blows the BlueAnt out of the water. The speaker sounds great. I bought it on sale and after using it I would paid full price. I have an Iphone 5 they are a good pair. I have no problems with it connecting or disconnecting when I leave the vehicle. It Reads my text messages back loud and clear. One of the features I like the best is the fm. When your travelling and can't tune in a radio station. I run internet radio though to my vehicles sound system and its like I'm still listening the radio. If you are considering something like a this bluetooth Speaker give this one a try for yourself that's what I did. You'll know in a couple of weeks whether you like it or not. It has the best speaker by far. If sound matters you won't like the other products in the same category. It my not be totally hand free but all you have to do is reach up and touch the talk button. The BlueAnt says its totally hands free but I ended up touching the button on that as well because it would turn this feature off all the time to save power. The BlueAnt would constantly didn't deliver the text message (1 out of 5 would get sent). The Jabra Freeway is the superior speaker. Like I said try if you don't like take it back. I bought the blueAnt first and took it back and I have been very happy so far with the Jabra. Not comparison in the price category.
Bought this when it was on sale tried it out for about two weeks then returned it back it's garbage specially if you Live in a house this is not going to work for you when you leave the car it will not disconnect from your mobile phone so it will drain your battery and all the calls and text messages will go to this the the phone has to be quiet for from this device to automatically disconnect otherwise you have to manually turn on and off the Bluetooth on your phone every time you entered and exited the vehicle which I believe nobody could do that.
Also voice command on this device is horrible it will not understand what you're saying
For a top of the line hands free I was extremely disappointed with this unit. Although easy to set up, the voice recognition is sketchy and often connects to the wrong contact. Also the receiver has a hard time hearing me unless I am talking directly into the unit, so conversation is lost when shoulder checking etc. The best feature is the ability to connect to the FM which I use for streaming music into the car stereo. Not recommended
Bought on Sale [...] over a year ago (weathered both Ottawa extreme summer heat and winter cold without issue)...Good, solid product. Setup was remarkably easy. Can connect both my Blackberry and my wife's iPhone simultaneously while traveling together.
Get the odd glitch requiring me to repeat a command. Slight annoyance at best. Nothing worth getting upset over.
Battery time is remarkably long. Great for someone who does not want to worry about constantly charging devices.
Have not needed to use the "voice assist" other reviews refer to...
Money well spent for ease of use and handsfree piece of mind on the road...
If all you need is a speaker, then the audio quality for this product is actually very good. If you want to use any of the voice recognition advertised on the box, look somewhere else, as it just doesn't work, but relies on either your cellphone's voice control functionality or a 3rd-party subscription service called VoiceAssist. If something goes wrong, customer support is virtually non-existant (email only). Save your money and try something else.
in buying this freeway Jabra and it comes with "voice assist" it could connect you with a long distance "voice assist" and your ld invoice will show at the end of the month and it could be huge!!
long distance from cell phones are very high. be very careful
The high sound quality and cheerful voice prompts hide the fact that this device is extraordinarily user-unfriendly, and is incapable of downloading your iPhone's contacts directly to the unit (as other, far less expensive, units all do). The device relies on your iphone's "voice control" to access your contacts by way of an additional, cumbersome jabra command. This only results in rerouting your voice command through to the iphone, which fails almost all the time! Stay away and purchase any one of this unit's competitors at a far lower price!
