Very durable but also very slow write rate

Pros: rugged, durable; keep it in my key chain and always handy when you need one for a quick data transfer Cons: Very slow writing rate, advertised as USB 3.0 but it is just slow compared to other USB I've used in the past. Given its large capacity, you would think it's a really good device for transferring large data but no... you would have to wait minutes to hours for the transfer to finish.

Great Flash Drives!

I've been using these drives for about four years no. My first was an 8GB version which I was very impressed with. I then bought the 16 GB and then the 32GB versions. They are very rugged as the exterior is aluminum construction with no plastic parts to crack. Also the one piece design means there is no cap to lose. I keep one on my key chain so I am always ready to transfer a file. I recently bought three of the 16GB USB 3.0 versions and am really satisfied. I currently own about six DTSE9's. You really can't go wrong with Kingston as they are one of the biggest names and back their products. I highly recommend these drives.

Buyer beware, these are USB 2.0.

I bought these online, assuming they were USB 3.0. Nowhere in the Best Buy product description do they mention that they are USB 2.0, which is thoroughly obsolete technology. I believe this is an intentional omission to deceive shoppers. USB 2.0 is slow as molasses; it will take about 15 minutes to fill one of these drives with data. I feel ripped off but it's probably not worth returning them as I'm sure I'd be on the hook for shipping both ways.

Cheap but slow and scratches easily

I bought these on sale for [price]. Not bad on a price per GB but they are very slow and scratch as soon as you plug them in.
