functions well, easy to use, and good features. keeps up with a tablet for the average user.
Love the Kobo Arc. In many ways is a tablet, but for the price of an eReader.
Great Value for an older model
Love this device. Prefer it over other well known tablets. Built for reading and having books/ mags read to you.
I haven't had any problems with it. I actually went and bought a 2nd one ( at a great price) as a spare because they're no longer making the 64gb Arc anymore and I didn't want to have to buy an expensive tablet if I happened to break this one. Would recommend this to everybody.
Love this kobo arc. Great for reading. Allows me to borrow books from library.
Most commonly needed Android apps already pre-installed. Works well with little fussing.
Easy to use email.
I don't play games, so I can't comment on that. Great price. I prefer to use this rather than my 2 year old iPad 2.
Great value for the price. Got mine on sale, which made it even better.
Not all apps are compatible, but considering it is designed as a READER, that is completely understandable. It's fast, way faster than my computer, and very portable. Well worth the cost!
The only problem with this ereader is that the battery does not last very long, especially when the internet is used. I would rather have a reader that could hold a charge longer.
It was cheap and let me browse the net and YouTube. However several apps were "not compatible with this device" or installed but would not run. I decided to spend an extra 50 to get a more fully featured device.
Works with overdrive media; you can take books out from your library (if your library uses it). Prices of books from kobo are affordable. You may also purchase books from Googleplay and others retailers
I'm a university student and the kobo arc completely suites my needs! :D
Purchased this Kobo Arc for 88 year old Mom. After adding extra apps for games, podcasts, borrowing books from library etc. all that had to be done is show her how to turn it on. She uses it every day. Only thing she forgets is to turn on her wi-fi before trying to get more library books, check her email or using Skype.
I bought this for my Grandson (so he would leave my iPad alone) and it has worked out really well. Most apps are available on both so switching was easy. It will freeze on occasion but that's not a big deal. Overall, it's a great product with loads of memory for a terrific price! I'm thinking of purchasing one for my parents.
I bought this for use as a e reader and a tablet. I wanted something the best bang for my money. I got it for [price] during the boxing day specials. I think for what I want it for it works very well. I play a few little games, nothing too crazy. I use it for the internet and of course reading. Its processor holds up pretty well for what I use it for. Of course there are better tablets with better processors out there, but your paying more and you may only get 16 GBs instead of 64 GBs. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it. :-)
I purchased this for myself after doing a lot of research on the web. I don't regret buying the Kobo Arc.
It's a bit heavy which I don't mind.
I can check my emails, play games, read, surf the web all with this unit which is great.
I use my Kobo Arc on a daily basis.
I am generally very pleased with the new Kobo Arc after switching from the original Kobo reader. I like being able to use it to view e-mail, twitter, and facebook. My only complaint is that the touch pad can be hard to navigate and a little sensitive. I have trouble with responding to e-mail and seeing pictures on Twitter.
Got the kobo on sale because I wanted an ereader and tablet. The processor is really slow. I would press on icon multiple times and nothing would happen and it would freeze occasionally, needing a reboot. I returned it and bought the Dell 7'' tablet for the same price (less GB, though) instead and it is much quicker to respond. It's lighter, too. I downloaded the kobo app and I'm all set to go. The only thing I miss is the tapestry concept, but getting the Kobo just for that is not worth it. If you want an ereader, the kobo is great. If you want a tablet, get a real tablet.
I went from an original e-reader to the Arc and I am very glad I did. I can read it anywhere, anytime without extra lights. It fits in the cover that I had for the original reader which is great. It is easy to carry in my pyrse. Very glad I purchased it for myself.
I bought my Kobo for a Boxing Day on line special and I absolutely love it. It is like having my our personal computer, now I don't care if I get on my home computer (and it is faster).
This tab is really cool and I enjoy as an e-reader and also for browsing. thx to kobo
Easy to use, great as an e-reader and tablet, can't beat the price! It doesn't have a camera to take pics/video but I guess that's what my cell phone is for :-)
It is perfect as an Ereader! Love it, as a tablet amazing for the money.
This tablet is awsome. Great for playing games and surfing 2! I recommend it.
I love my new Kobo Arc Tablet. The only criticism I have is that it has a short battery life. I was used to being able to read a whole book or more before charging my old original Kobo. This one needs recharging every two or three days.
I have only had this tablet a short while but so far I absolutely love it! The Arc boots up quickly, was easy to personalize and holds a charge well. Plus I can use it for most of my online usage. I am quite impressed with it and would recommend it!!!
Meet expectations. Happy with purchase.
Very happy with purchase. Lived up to expectations for a reader.
Easy to work with.
Sync s with Android phone
Compatible with MediaOverdrive (used by my public library)
two batteries have just "died"
charging port is poorly engineered and faulty
Overall - I love the Kobo Arc and despite its issues and returning it again (charge port issue) and will get another one. I use it all the time.
I purchased this tablet earlier this year and have loved it since. It boots up quickly and I use it for almost all of my online usage. I would give it a 5 out of 5.
This was awesome until the battery died and now it won't charge. So mad
It's a great tool for people who enjoy reading books or academic material extensively.
Well I am sorry, I don't have a lot of good to say about this produce. That is not to say I didn't love it when I first got it. But after the first month the kobo arc failed me. First the tapestries started to fail. I would have to turn the Arc off then back on to fix it. That is one thing I don't like about a Simple tool. You can't trouble shot on your own! Also after the Tapestries started to fail I started to get network fails and systems fails. This was not the only reason I took it back to the store, I had owned the Kobo Vox first and this was not good for me ether. The Kobo Vox would freeze up and would not fix until I did a factory reset. After 3 factory resets, it was getting on my nerves. So sorry to say I don't think I will ever own a Kobo Ereader again. I think it is a good idea, but it needs work. As I said I loved it when it worked, But I was happy to take it back to the store. I am replacing it with a Lenovo Yoga 13.
Too heavy, You can't hold it too long your fingers will get numb. Reading in bed is not comfortable because of its weight. I gave it a 2 for design because its just too heavy.
