Was great for about 6 months.

I love this tablet as it kept a decent charge, was fast and loved the rotatable camera. I have had it not quite a year and I will say that the last several months it is constantly freezing up. Now programs just suddenly close down. Even to reboot you hold the button forever before it seems to do know what it is supposed to do shut down. Programs seem to disappear from the screen and now every time I charge it up which is every night the app I use for text gets shut off and I have to go in and reset it. Even with an extended warranty, I am sure there is nothing tech can do since it isn't broke down. Time to find something else and it won't be this brand again.

lenovo yoga 3 tablet

This is a thoughtful design, with a large lovely screen, clever controls and a useful android OS. BUY the latest android upgrade means my tablet no longer hooks me up to wifi at the gym or generally. It recognizes the wifi server, but does not take me to a login page, as my iPads do. HUGE ISSUE. So the rating goes from a 5 to a, barely, 3.

Disappointing and inferior to previous models

I had a previous Yoga and it was wonderful. After dropping it for the hundredth time the screwman finally shattered and I purchased this one as it's replacement. Not sure if I had a lemon or not but this was always slow and laggy. Programs crashed often. Purchased exactly one year ago and has crashed to the point of no return. Only use it really for web surfing, games and reading. Should definitely have lasted longer!

Great tablet=great value for your money

Love it!....easy to navigate , easy to carry around, and use...just love everything about it and specially the fact that it is bilingual as I am French so I can use it in my mother tongue or in English ,my second language...I would certainly recommend this tablet ....love the sleek look, rotating camera etc....

Great value

You could spend twice the amount for a faster tablet, but for the apps that I use when lounging (Twitter, FB, Kindle, Kobo, Chrome) this is absolutely up to the task. It has a much longer battery life than my recent generation iPod; in fact I haven't run the battery down in usage before recharging once yet. I was watching a Netflix movie last night on the Yoga and the picture was perfect. I like the design and the little touches like the "kickstand". If you want a tablet to play the most up-to-date, graphic intensive games, I'm going to guess it will be too sluggish a performer for you but for all other purposes it is a bargain.

  • from Hamilton, ON

So far so good!

No problem like the other reviewers.....yet. It's serving the purpose. Not sure why some people did not like it. My dad plays his games on it and he's not complaining. I think it's good for what you paid for.

Not great for the price

Great picture and sound for watching videos, but other than that, ok, but not great. Screen scratched almost immediately and is very reflective making it a pain to take into meeting rooms with any kind of windows. It's ok on it's own, but gets heavy when it's in a case. Slow when switching between apps. Battery life dropped like a rock at the 6 month mark. I'm hoping this is fixed in the most recent update. Had to do a reset on the machine just after the return period was over. Total pain. I would have just returned it at that point. The value for money just isn't there.

Great tablet for price, easy to hold/display

Love my tablet! The battery life is excellent, easy to hold and use. Its a bit slow but for what I want to do with it, and for the price, it can't be beat. Sturdy. Nice display. Feels like high quality structurally. Expandable memory. The only reason giving a 4 instead of 5 is slower speed but that helps battery last longer. Highly recommend especially for the casual user who wants to use Facebook, check emails, You Tube, etc.

Pretty good

I got this tablet mainly for reviewing lecture notes for school, browsing the web, watching YouTube, and email. It was good for all of these tasks. But, I ended up returning the product because when trying to do a few of these things at once, things were a bit slow. Also, I did not like that the stand did not work for the tablet when in portrait mode. One plus is that the battery life is amazing, can't be beat! I think for someone who just wants to use it for entertainment, and does not have that high demand for speed, this is a great tablet!

Overall a great buy!

I got this tab on boxing day sale, in fact had bought one earlier for my kid, liked it a lot, especially the brilliant display, sleek design with a stand and of course the camera. The speakers are great too and allows you to watch movies and videos without compromising on the sound quality. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. A great buy!!!

  • from Calgary, AB

I really wanted to like this tablet...

...but it's just too darn slow. The design is great. The thick, rounded spine makes it really easy to handle. And the fold out stand is also a great feature. But alas, it's just too sluggish, even for the minimal use I put it through. I've owned tablets previously that only had 1GB of RAM, and none were this bad.

Good Value

Purchased this tablet to use for displaying sheet music. OVERALL , considering the price and features , it's a great buy. The resolution might not be a high as competing models , but it's fine for daily use. The built in stand , rotating camera and speakers with Dolby Atmos set it apart from competing units. Purchasing the right tablet depends on your intended use. I'm not a gamer , so I can't comment on high end performance , but for the average user who wants a convenient ,affordable 10" tablet , this is an excellent choice , particularly when on sale. I watched a few shows via Shaw Video on Demand and it was excellent. Very pleased with the purchase

I really wanted to love it but I just can't

On the positive side of things, the screen is a nice size and bright, and the OS works well. The battery bar on the bottom does make it a bit wide and awkward if you are packing it places with other flat items, butit's actually kind of nice to hold onto. The kickstand is handy and the swivel camera is a bit odd, but it works sufficiently well. There are two major flaws I have experienced with this tablet which make it incredibly frustrating to use: 1) The power button is prominent and touchy. Because of the added width and weight of the bar at the bottom, you naturally hold it there, instead of on the side. If you are right-handed, you hold it with your left hand to operate the touch screen with your right. Well, the power button is right where your palm grips the tablet, and as a result, I accidentally turn it off all the time. Very annoying. This could have been easily avoided by putting the button on the right side, making the button slightly recessed, or require a stronger push to activate the button. 2) Calling the Wifi "weak" would be generous. We have a wireless modem in the lower floor of our house, but are able to use cell phones and laptops in the kitchen / living room upstairs without any issue. Not this thing! It always claims to have 4-5 bars of signal, but when you ask it to do anything online the circles just spin and spin and spin. I have to put it in the same room as the modem to get anything on the internet to run. Because of these two issues, the tablet does not work for most of the tasks I wish to perform on it, and I just cannot recommend this product.

Didn't like, took it back..

My Samsung Note 10.1 died after 5 years.. I went for this Lenovo for myself & my mother.. Had it a day.. Mine was defective; turned itself off, keyboard issues, etc.. Got us Samsung Tab 3's instead, we are much happier..

It's not too bad

It's good for what i need it for. Battery life on standby isn't as good as I originally thought, and charging from 0 takes longer than I thought it would too. Bootup is slow when you're used to an SSD on a PC (haven't had a tablet for years). It'd be nice if there was a usb port though.

It's better than I expected

OK tablet nothing so great

I bought this on boxing day and thought I would replace my old tablet which I gave to my dad to use. this tablet is kind of slow and sluggish which is probably because of only 1Gb of Ram. I find this to be the most annoying problems because there is always a lag when you hit the link on web page. touch screen is also not very responsive and sometimes you have to tap twice or thrice before your tap is registered. Also it closes apps randomly for no apparent reason. the power button as someone else has already pointed out is on the wrong side and you always accidently hit it when you hold it in landscape mode. overall decent battery life and can compare with my iPad air 2 but doesn't last any longer than iPad. will buy Samsung galaxy tab s2 or S3 if it comes out in the near future because I prefer android over my iPad for ease of use and microsd card portability/interchangeability

  • from Ottawa, ON

Well-designed. Built-in stand is very useful.

The actual screen is a bit coarse in resolution, but battery life and ergonomics are excellent. My son uses it for primarily streaming content and loves the sturdy built-in stand.

Lenovo Yoga

Bought this mainly to use as an e-reader, but I found it so easy to use to surf the net, read e-mails and look up things I was interested in, that I am now using it almost as much as my desktop computer. Very easy to use, battery charge lasts well and great sound and screen resolution. Nothing more to say: worth every penny of the cost, which by the way, I found quite reasonable. Excellent buy for the money.

Great Tab for it's Value

I loved this Tab. This is well made and designed. I pretty much loved everything about it except the following negatives. Charging cord way too short. NO multitasking ability despite it says so in the description. Can download program some play programs but CAN'T open it- which is not exactly a lenovo problem but also happens with samsung as well. Camera in a sort of weird spot.

  • from Victoria, BC

Excellent but......

Everything is perfect to my ideal dream tablet. Except.... NO multi-tasking feature! It says that it has it as an option but NO!!!! the keys on the tap screen like most tablets take up a big chunk of the screen so it's hard to tell what you're typing unless you flip it to the side. Also you can't properly load some apps like Perfect 365 photo shopping. Other than that would be the perfect tablet.

CONS Screen Freeze and shuts off

I bought this tablet on Boxing day. It was the last one - I just wanted something to surf internet. After a few days, it kept shutting off, it did that for a few days and on its own, it was back on track. Now, the screen freezes - cannot navigate nor charge battery. I shut it off and on again, it's fine for 6 minutes and it freezes again. Sorry I bought it because of those problems. It's not reliable. Also, there is no flash for evening pictures! I'm disappointed and will see if Best Buy can solve this problem or take it back. Too bad.

  • from London, ON

not too bad,but could be better

I got Lenovo Tablet 3 10 about 3 weeks ago.Best Buy did not have it in stock ,that is why I had to order it online.Well ,the pros were already mentioned by other users: good sound, long battery life, video image is good as well ,thin and stylish ...and this is about it. The 8 PM camera is located in a weird spot ( on the left bottom corner) , which is kinda uncomfortable while having a video chat on Skype.Well, unless you hold in horizontal position. This tablet is pretty heavy for its size. The screen resolution is low as well.Android 5.1 version is pretty cool, except a lot of advertisement that pops up as soon as you open the browser.I had to go to the settings and block ad-ons manually. And after a while they show up again! 1 gb of RAM is a joke for this fancy tab.All in all,if you are looking something for a very basic needs like reading magazines, books online, chatting with friends, using Skype and watching you tube videos -go for it.But if you want something more serious for games, movies and even work - save little bit more and buy better quality one , preferably with Windows OS or Apple.

Great value

I think this is a great tablet for the price. It is a bit slow loading multiple things but not to bad. I really like the stand that is built in. The only case you need is a sleeve for it. The screen quality is good and the surround sound is one of the best features other then the amazing battery life that last for days. The camera isn't all that amazing for quality but it does the trick. That wasn't that important to me though. In all, this is a great tablet.

For the MONEY, You can't beat it!

Excellent tablet for the money!! I purchased the last one online for Boxing Day for [price] less. Truly a steal!! Obviously the lcd screen quality is not the very best nor is the processor the fastest but its more than adequate and does the job for me and the average consumer. The Dolby sound is impressive and pretty loud! Watching movies is always pretty good. Just about everything available on this tablet! And the fact that is comes with a built in stand is just amazing! Rare with other tablets. The battery life is also excellent! I love the innovative styling and design of this Lenovo product. Ive always loved Lenovos products..they are always couple steps ahead of the rest. Again excellent value and you just cant go wrong but however I would pay full retail for it either.

I have used the Ipad and the dell and samsung tablets, I got this one for my wife and what can I say it is 10/10 ,the only thing she is complaining from ,the is no good quality case for it great choice

Very good value.

A good tablet overall. Solid build, reasonable speed, good screen, great sound. Great value if you are looking for a budget tablet.

  • from Gilmour, ON

It Works

Got the tablet on sale and I'm very happy with its style and performance, especially the battery life. The built-in stand is also a nice feature. It does weigh more than other tablets but that's the cost of outstanding battery life. Well worth it for me. Would I recommend this? Yes.

  • from Maple, ON

Awesome Overall

Sleek and unique design. Excellent graphics and sounds, very good quality camera. The only thing missing in my openion is the HDMI port. Speed is fine as well depending on what program you are using. Overall good value for the price I have paid.

  • from Edmonton, AB

So I got this one as well!

Ok... So my father and I fell in-love with the Yoga 3 8 in store and both bought one after playing with it in store. I saw the 10 on sale and thought it would be nice to have a bigger screen. Let just say it is the mail device that I have been using since I got it. If I had to choose, I would have a hard time choosing between the two. for reading manuals and other work documentation the 10 is super sweet and for video consumption it is hard to beat. Even at regular price it is worth it. Speakers sound good and have great volume.

  • from Kingston, ON

I love this tablet, it does it all!

Very user friendly. I got personal with this tablet so fast that I couldn't but to admire each and every single aspect of it and it's functionality. I compared it to Samsung Galaxy tablet E3 9.6" and it won my confidence!

  • from Calgary, AB

Impressive little device

I'm quite impressed. The IPS screen gives gorgeous images and videos. And the sound is just awesome for a tablet and loud enough! The tablet design looks great. Sturdy, the built-in stand is made of metal, no plastic here! Good for movies, washroom breaks and checking recipes while cooking. Use a utensil to navigate the screen instead of smudging it with ingredients. Non-slip back is bonus. Having one better rotatable camera is just smart and clever instead of having two of lesser quality. Can't complain about Android 5.1 either. I'm hard to satisfy, let alone impress but this baby did just that. I'd be happy with it even if I paid full price instead of sale price. A little bit slow but nothing drastic. I fully recommend it.

  • from Woodstock, ON

I recieved it quickly and in great shape. Put it under the tree and now it is being used. Day one easy to use and greatcolored screen and worked flawlessley. with the discount it is a nice tablet.

Best tablet

Great Screen Great sound system Great battery life Stock Android to be upgraded to Marshmallow soon Great Camera Great value Enough said!

  • from Fredericton, NB

Great value

I really like this tablet for many reasons - there are so many features that set this device apart from all the competition. The screen size lends itself well to web surfing (much better than my previous 7" tablet). The sound quality is by far the best, screen resolution is great, and with the sturdy built-in stand, it's fantastic for watching movies. The battery life is phenomenal. I'm sure it's not the most powerful tablet, but for a casual gamer, it's capable. The camera is better than most, if not all - although I don't see myself using it for anything other than video chat. And finally, I really like that you can use almost anything for a stylus (pencils are my favourite). But it's not perfect. I find the large battery makes it heavy along one edge. When holding the tablet in landscape mode, I have inadvertently hit the power button several times; causing the screen to lock while playing a game or watching a video. And the tablet is too wide for 2-thumb typing when holding it in portrait mode. Overall, it's a great product, and the lower price makes it a winner.

  • from Saskatoon, SK

Insane Value!

Pros - Price - Sounds Quality is Amazing and loud - Good screen for watching videos - kickstand and hanger are very useful, no need to buy a special case to keep it propped up - the battery lasts all day. It feels weird not having to charge it after 6 hours of use. It just keeps on going and going Cons - Plays games well but not the fastest tablet out there so High end games might run choppy - I would prefer a higher resolution display if you plan on doing a lot of reading on it. Overall this is by far the best tablet for video consumption. Love it!

  • from Vancouver, BC

Excellent tablet

I have both Lenovo yoga 8 and 10 and they are really awesome. Easy to use, amazing battery life, beautiful screen and really mobile. Especially when you travel like I do a lot you do not have to worry about looking for charger. This unit last you for long time. I highly recommend to anyone and you will not be dissapointed.
