With Android 6.0 Marshmallow, your LG G5 has an intuitive operating system with Google Play Store access to enhance your festival experience.

Digging your phone out of your pocket, you glance at the always-on display for the time and wonder where your friends are. You connect to a local café's hotspot via integrated Wi-Fi. Thanks to a blazing-fast quad-core processor, you're typing on WhatsApp and Facebook in seconds and searching for updates.

Soon, your excitement gets the best of you. You strike a pose for a humorous selfie in front of the LG G5's 8MP front camera. Then you load the 16MP rear camera to capture crowds of painted faces and funny outfits all walking in the direction of the music. Underneath these impressively sharp photos, you write, "Hurry! Show's about to start!!!" and post them online where your friends will see them.

Thanks to the LG G5's extensive 32GB of internal memory, you have more than enough space for your festival photos, as well as games, music, and apps. A video chat request comes through. It's not your friends you see on the stunning 5.3-inch Quad HD display, but your sister, calling from Australia.

"I'm so jealous! I want to see lots of pictures and videos, okay?" she pleads. You make an easy promise, remembering your stowed LG accessories like the CAM Plus and 360 CAM and say goodbye as your friends finally arrive. They drag you excitedly into the queues that are bound for the main stage.

Just 3 songs in and the crowd is going wild. With the musicians spread out across the stage, you see a challenging opportunity for the perfect snap. You activate the LG G5's secondary 8MP 135 degree camera with its wide angle lens and zoom out to snap a crystal-clear gem of the band lost in the chorus of their hit. Over 4G LTE, You send it to your sister straight away who's waiting impatiently on the other side of the world.

Great phone

Upgraded from nexus 5 reluctantly. Was very hastily surprised. Battery is amazing. Picture are great. Expandable memory and easily changed battery are fantastic features. Just installed google launcher and waiting for Android n update coming very soon.

Sleek phone

Upgraded from an LG G3, was torn between the S7 and this, I'm glad I chose this phone. Love the sleek look of it, the camera has two different modes, wide angle and 16mp, it also comes with a long lasting battery. I'm considering getting a second one for a family member.

Piece of Junk

I bought one of these phones to upgrade from my G4 (I smashed the glass by accident - it was a sad day). I was excited to get the G5 because of how much I loved the G4, however I have had nothing but issues with poor quality and software glitches as well. Processor is great, camera looks beautiful, 4GB of RAM is a treat and the modular design WAS cool, until LG decided not to ship the one thing I wanted (the B&O amp. that one can add to the bottom) to Canada. I have had MAJOR issues with the DISPLAY on this phone, to which LG has responded "this is how the phone was designed, and is functioning normally". Remember when you paused a movie on your plasma TV 10 years ago, and when you resumed some of the image was still there? My CELL PHONE does that. It can't handle bright static images for longer than a few minutes without causing a light bleed and shadow effect almost immediately. After many calls to LG, I have been told that this is how the phone operates, and it would not be fixed under the manufacturers warranty. I have TWO transcripts quoting TWO different technicians stating the same thing. On top of all this, the 2800mah battery may look good on paper, and it DID operate amazingly before an update that was pushed last week. I was at 50% by noon and had a dead phone by 4pm without any use really at all through a work day. Hasn't gone back to normal since. I hate this cell phone, and I will NEVER purchase another LG product again; not because of the issues with this phone, but the lack of humility and customer service that ensued with these issues. LG is taking the "eff you, it's not our problem" approach to which commences the inevitable demise of electronic sales and manufacturing companies.

Nice to start.

This phone is like the title says, nice at first then the fairy tale is over! I have just gone through my second G5. First one died after 5 weeks... second one is having seizure like symptoms as in it won't go into sleep mode, it just flickers non-stop, and then heats up like a mother... oh and the power button doesn't work.. oh and the Camplus module hasn't worked since I got the second phone. So ya, not much positive here. The camera is nice and does take nice photos so... but save yourself the headache..

Poor quality, poor service

I had my LG G5 for 1 month and then it kept restarting on its own and eventually died, would not turn on and was very hot. Sent it to LG for repair and the motherboard was replaced which took 2 weeks. I turned on my phone after the repair and half my screen was blank, exactly half of the left side. It is now sent out for repair for a second time. I called LG and they said they would only replace the phone after three repairs. Very disappointed as this is clearly a lemon. In the brief time I did use it, I can say that the dual cameras are very good, but it is not worth the money considering all the problems. Get the Samsung Galaxy S7 instead.

One of LG's best

I bought this phone back in May of 2016. LG finally went from plastic to a metal frame. It has the same processor and RAM as the Samsung S7, S7 Edge, Note 7, and the HTC 10. The fact that it is the ONLY one that has a removal battery makes it really stand out. The two cameras are awesome and definitely on par with the Galaxy S7 or the iPhone 6s. The modular add-ons seem kind of gimmick and unnecessary. Even without them this is a top notch device. I'd recommend ordering an extra battery or two and getting a good sized mini SD card and you'll do fine. The only downside the LG skin over the standard Android, in my opinion, is not as good as stock Android. However I do find it more user friendly than EMUI, Touchwiz, and a lot of the other manufacturer skins.
