Watch out

This is a great dishwasher it looks great and is very quiet. This is a review of the Home Delivery service at bestbuy.ca. They are the team responsible for delivering appliances to your household. As a responsible customer I am forced to advise other potential customers that the large appliances ordered from best buy and delivered by the Home Delivery Service -are not inspected for damage prior to delivery -exchanged products are not inspected either so you may receive damaged goods one after the other -There are extremely long delays between arbitrary steps to getting an exchange for a damaged product -They do not have the initiative to contact you or to set up exchanges for products that are refused upon delivery for damage. -The damage to my products leads me to question the warehouse honesty as the damage was unmissable. On March 23rd I ordered an LG 24" 44dB Dishwasher (LDF7774BD). The product was delivered 7 days later on March 29th. Upon inspection of the product an impressive damage to the top right back was appreciated. This looked like something had crushed the product from above leaving a approximately 3 inch depression that had compromised the structure. I called the same day to get it exchanged but had to wait 2 days for them to get back to me to set up the exchange. On March 31 I was called and another dishwasher would be delivered on 5 days later on April 5th. On April 5th, another one was delivered and this one had a deep indentation, like someone had kicked it in, on the one of the sides. The delivery men which were very courteous took both damaged dishwashers with them. I then incorrectly assumed and expected that another dishwasher would be on its way, given that they had taken both dishwashers with them and had charged my credit card. On April 17th after the easter holiday I called best buy customer service to see where the dishwasher was. Ray the customer service representative gave me 100 dollars off the product and transferred me to the Home Delivery representative whose name I do not recall as she mumbled it twice. She asked me for my cell and home number and checked to see if anyone had called me after I said I may have missed the call. She informed me that no one had called according to her records. She explained to me that she would put in an “expedited/accelerated form” to have a dishwasher delivered. After completing the form, she told me that someone would contact me to set up the a delivery in the future. I asked her how long would it be for someone to call me to set up the delivery, she said 5 days and then it would take a few more days before the actual delivery of the product. I then asked for a refund as it has been since march 29th, a total of 2 weeks and 5 days, since we got rid of our old dishwasher and this household with 4 children has had to hand wash everything and we would not be receiving a replacement for another 1-2 weeks. I would like to note that this product has a utility in a household and best buy left my family without a dishwasher for 3 weeks and were ready and found it ok to leave us without one for another 2 more weeks. Buyer be ware. This is just a dishwasher but I will never buy an appliance from best buy again. An encourage you as well to look elsewhere as well. I would like to thank the people on the phone from best buy customer service and the home delivery team for their apologies and doing what they could. This is not a criticism of them but a critique on the service and the procedures in place at bestbuy.ca Francis M.
