does what I want

Easy setup, and gives me better coverage through the house and backyard... exactly what I wanted it to do. I have a Linksys/Cisco router so they connected the first time.

Not worth the money

This product works, when it does. I have to unplug it and plug it in all the time. You don't know when it isn't working until you trouble shoot your computer or media centre etc. I will buy an access point and throw this one out.

A useful but not overly powerful range extender.

A good product, but not perfect. Easily installed, but requires a WiFi-portable laptop with CD ROM drive to be placed in a good reception area of the existing WiFi transponder, and also close to the plugged-in range extender during installation. Runs warm, but not excessively hot. Provides only a moderated boost in signal strength in our standard bungalow. Some dead spots remain because of rf shielding issues. After a brief power outage, the unit needs to be reset sometimes by unplugging it for 10 seconds. This was a little tedious during the recent ice storm and associated momentary switching blackouts.

Not worth the Trouble

Bought the unit, it was easy to install and set up... 3 days later, it over heats and no connection via wi-fi or wired. Resetting does nothing. i would not recommend it to my worst enemy. buyer beware!!!!

So far, amazing!

I've had this product set up for about 2 days now, and so far it is amazing! Took me 5 minutes to set up. Instructions were very easy. Just put in the CD to your computer, plug in the device, connect to your WiFi network, and it's done! Got full bars of Wi-Fi on the other side of the house, where I once had 0 bars.. Also I find that my wi-fi through out the other parts of the house have gotten much faster as well!! Great product!

Great product - works well!

I'm not sure what the people with bad reviews are talking about, this was very easy to set up, and works quite well. It's extended the range of my wireless network throughout my condo. 0 bars is now full bars. The only downside is that it extends only one network - my router produces a 2g and 5g network, and this device will only extend one of those.

Don't Buy

I bought two of these hoping to extend my wi-fi network. The wi-fi extender works just ok and does have the benefit of extending the SSID (without having to use another SSID for the extended network as some Netgear products require). But the device is also supposed to provide an Ethernet port to enable you to plug in a wired device using the wireless extension. The Ethernet ports on BOTH my devices stopped working altogther. I'm no Apple fan-boy, but it seems that out of Cisco/Linksys, Netgear and D-Link products they always just work and keep working with minimal headaches.
