Logitech g920

The Logitech g920 is the best steering wheel on the market because it works good with forza horizon 2, american truck simulator and farming simulator 2015

Try the Thrustmaster..

I've already reviewed this wheel favourably, but after a few months I have to change my opinion. There is a design flaw in the wiring that affects the left paddle shifter. It is a very common problem it turns out. Sometimes shifting down skips gears, or does not shift at all. Researching this problem reveals it is a widespread issue, and likely affects the G29 as well. The wiring frays and breaks, leaving you with a faulty paddle shifter. The brake pedal, as mentioned, is extremely stiff so if your game does not have adjustable brake pressure it is going to be a PITA to use. There is a rubber stopper that folks say softens up with use, but after 6 months my brake pedals feels like it did the day I got it. If I could go back I would try the Thrustmaster instead.

Good wheel set, dead spot annoying

Good feedback when turning or riding the bumps, dead spot persists on straights feels odd given the responsiveness doing anything other than straight-away. Previously owned Thrustmaster tx with reliability issues, hoping Logitech's experience with wheels proves advantageous

Good for Forza 6 but not for Windows

This wheel and pedal set is both well constructed and visually attractive. It works superbly well with Forza 6 on the Xbox one (but only after you make an in-game adjustment relating to the brake pedal setting). The physical range of travel available for the brake pedal is far too limited and Logitech should never have designed it this way, but this deficiency can be satisfactorily compensated for with an adjustment in Forza 6. Do not expect to be able to use this product on your Windows PC. Currently there are so many problems with it that it is effectively unusable. Logitech has an excellent reputation for making quality wheel & pedal sets and this reputation is well deserved based upon past products. However, I suspect their current offerings have fallen foul of an inability on the part of Logitech, Microsoft and Sony to place customer satisfaction ahead of licensing and revenue interests. Compounding all this is a lack of transparency from all parties involved. The end result is an epic failure for those of us who enjoy racing simulations.

To Wheel Or Not To Wheel

First off this is a beautiful wheel and the build quality has come a long way over the years of racing wheels. The wheel itself is steel wrapped in real leather. This does not feel cheap when its in your hands. That being said the main question is, is this worth the price. I bring this up because Logitechs last model, G27, can be purchased for [price]. Not to mention the G27 comes with the shifter. I owned both and I can say that the new G920 does feel better in your hands. The Force Feedback and rumble effects feel a tad cleaner with less rattle. The main improvement is the brake pedal. The new brake pedal is way stiffer and feels a lot better when you are braking hard. What Logitech did was listen to the consumers who were modding the old G27 with a stiffer spring and included the brake mod in their new model. I would say the only way this new model is worth the extra money over the G27 is if your looking for next gen console compatibly. The G27 works with PC and Xbox 360 where this model works with PC and Xbox One. If your looking for a wheel to play PC racing games on I would say with 100% confidence to go with the G27 and save a boat load of cash. If you want something that will work with Forza 6 and future titles then this is the obvious choice. If you do some research there are products that allow your G27 to work with the Xbox One but don't be fooled. Although you can get them working you don't get Force Feedback which is really the main point on having a wheel. Plus the button layout on the G920 is much nicer and makes navigating menus on Xbox One and even on PC a breeze. Its a shame Logitech doesn't include the shifter with the price tag but that's life. I got the wheel on sale for [price] and found the shifter for [price]. At those price points I have no buyers remorse.

Good wheel

Logitech wheels are a pretty safe bet and this one is no different. Very well put together, good quality. Works fantastic out of the box with Forza 6 and F1 2015. Project Cars needs some tweaking but that can be said about the entire game, let alone the wheel configuration. The only cons I have about this wheel are the force feedback is typical Logitech clunky, not smooth like a belt driven wheel, and it is definitely overpriced but if you can get it on sale you won't be disappointed. Grain of salt: this is essential the same wheel as the G29, but without the Gran Turismo specific adjustment dials/buttons and the rpm indicator on top (however, the wheel is too small for the rpm indicator to be of practical use vs your own ears).
