Unusable after 1 year

I bought this router in July 2012, and it worked perfectly for one year and two weeks. Then, the latency went through the roof and packets started getting dropped. Tech support said that the problem was common and the permanent fix was just some changes to the router settings. But, since I am now out of warranty [...] For that amount of money, I will buy a new, more durable router .

Solid wireless router

This router works really well. No problems whatsoever in the 4 weeks since I started using it. Strong, consistent signal and transfer in an apartment building where there are at least 20 other networks that I can see in the list of available WiFi networks.

My first Netgear product - great

I replaced my dlink dir625 which was about 5 years old and died a slow death. There are two versions of this model. One is NAS100 and PAS100. The NAS model has been replaced byt the PAS model. So make sure it says PAS on the bottom of the box by the bar code. This is my first Netgear product and a lot different to setup than my previous experiences with other products I have set up in the past.. I found the setup and installation a breeze. I was up and running in 5 minutes. Love the Genie interface and the bandwidth reporter is a nice bonus. The performance has been great and I have about 12 or more devices attached to this router wired and wirless. Updating of the firware was automatic and a breeze. I can't think of anything I disliked about setting it up or running it.

Great Product

I have had good success with Netgear products in the past, so when it came time to upgrade my 8 year old WGR614 naturally looked towards Netgear. Sales rep at Best Buy recommended this model and it has been perfect for all my needs. Handles laptop, iphones, ipad, itouch and WiFi thermostat simultaneously with no issues. Great response, speed and coverage thought the house and surrounding area. Installation was simple and trouble free.

Netgear?

I was on the fence about which router to purchase and boy did I never make a mistake. This product has many issues. I had to call tech support 3 times just to get it setup. The support reps are horrible!! They don't have a clue. On the 3rd attempt they transfered me to level 2 support guy who helped me through the install. After all was setup up I could not get better coverage than the old linksys router I had installed. I also have to resest the router almost every day. I'm going to take this back and buy a linksys or dlink router. What a waste of time. This product is junk!

Great Wireless performance

Replaced my 3800 with this. Very good for streaming video. The 5.4 band is darn good as well. Gret range in my 4 storey. Too bad it doesn't have some of the 3800 features i.e Clear Channel
