I always has Panasonic and my fiancé won expensive house phones so I decided to use that brand and wow it sucked!! I saw these phones on special so I had to buy it and it's the best product by far definitely worth buying you won't be disappointed

I have to laugh at the 1 star review because the guy didn't like the menus. Gimme a break. Ok, I own the KXTG4012N (which is discontinued), but it's identical to this phone except the backlighting. Let me tell you, this phone is a rock star. And no, I'm not some paid blogger or something. It's just a solid phone, feels solid in your hand, excellent voice quality and the signal is excellent. Also, get yourself some rechargable AAA batteries, as it doesn't take some lame proprietary lithium battery that will wear out in a year and then you toss the phone. And get this kiddies, it recharges your batteries when on the base, how awesome is that. But if the batteries ever do die, you can just go get some new ones anywhere.
