The gentle sound of lapping waves is music to your ears. You squeeze shimmering grains of pristine sand between your toes and look up at the cloudless sky to soak up all of the sun's toasty rays. Your Hawaiian vacation has finally begun.
You're just about to put your towel down on the silky smooth sand when suddenly you hear your phone vibrating from deep within your backpack.
You quickly glance at your trusty Pebble Time Steel smartwatch resting on your wrist. It's wirelessly connected to your smartphone thanks to integrated Bluetooth 4.0. The always-on, colour e-paper glass display says it's your boss calling.
The last thing you want to do is fumble through your bag and talk to your boss about TPS reports while at the beach. Instead, you easily push the tactile buttons on your Pebble Time Steel to activate the built-in microphone. You make a quick voice note to call your boss back when you return to the hotel.
As you sink into the luxurious sand, you catch another glimpse of your Pebble Time Steel and can't help but admire its sleek construction. A curved and ergonomic profile boasts a marine-grade stainless steel 10.5mm chassis and bezel, PVD coated in matte with polished detailing. The result is a comfortable and refined design that adds a luxurious touch to any outfit, even your swimsuit.
Back at your hotel room, you realize you've got some time to kill before dinner. The Pebble Time Steel lets you access a variety of apps in a flash thanks to the intuitive display. You check the score of tonight's hockey game, play around with a few games, see what excursions you have scheduled for tomorrow, and set an alarm for the morning.
Before giving your smartwatch a break, you check to see if it needs a charge before your fun-filled day ahead. You're shocked to see that the battery is still going strong. A long-lasting 7- to 10-day battery life means the Pebble Time Steel is built to keep up with your active lifestyle.

I really love it, it is doing what i expected it to do and more.
The watch works nice but after about two months he screen is so scratched up it looks absolutely terrible. I work in an office and don't do anything that is hard on it. Very disappointed ted in the quality.
I've had a Pebble smartwatch for almost six months and I work alongside people who wear Apple watches every day. It's interesting to me that the features they say they use -- notifications, at-a-glance weather, fitness tracking -- are all things the Pebble does as well or better than the Apple watch.
Their major complaints -- daily charging, poor outdoor visibility, having to tap or shake their wrist to wake up the screen, and occasional sluggish response times -- are things I never have to contend with.
Does the PebbleOS do as much as an Apple or Android smart watch? No, not really. Does it make a great watch? Absolutely.
I had this for 1 day (2hrs) and returned the item immediately. Very small screen and also not many options like Apple Watch
I don't recommend this..
I have multiple smart watches, I thought I would try. It's been great, 5-7 days without charging. Looks great, works great. I like it very much. Highly recommend.
I have tried at least 4 Android wear devices including the latest Moto 360. The issue with these is 1 day battery life and lack of always on screen unless you want even less battery life. This is where Pebble Time Steel shines. I get 9-10 days battery life and of course the Pebble has an always on screen. Pebble does everything that the more expensive smart watches do but with a battery life of multiple days. Pebble is simplicity at its best!!
The Pebble Time Steel is the smart watch to have because it is simple to use, and best battery life of any smart watch out there I have seen! It is a small step up from the pebble time, but for an extra $50 that extra steel is really worth it making it more durable and a nice weight to it. I prefer the silver one over the black matte for it will hide scratches better. The leather band will easily wear overtime so getting additional bands will be required, and that is another reason why I got the silver because I find the bands do better with it. Doesn't matter which you choose, but choose for your own liking :D
As for use of the watch it is very comfortable to wear and its a nice reassuring feature that you can swim with it or get wet. The buttons are nice to push and not squishy, but more tactile, and when going through different options it responds quickly with a few animations on certain tasks you do on it. Its reassuring that it did its job. I did fumble around with the charging cable, but when you are charging it just be sure you have it secure well and leave it be lol.
In conclusion if you need a new watch and want a little more out of it with luxury and that inner geek in you then I recommend this watch! The only thing that I felt was wrong with it was the price, but hey I got it on sale and I wanted a decent watch. Splurge a little :D
First time smartwatch owner. While I can not compare to the more leading brands like iwatch and Samsung. I found this watch to be a great looking wearable device. Once you feel it in your hands you can appreciate it is definitely made of premium materials. My particular device is paired with an android device and it does everything it promises well. I purchased a second one as a gift for an iphone but I understand it is limited as a notification device only. It lacks a heart pulse monitor unlike the flagship competitors that do have it. However, keep in mind this watch is much more affordable, has a longer battery life 4 days plus for me due to a lot of use I give it. I have gone swimming with it (clockwork synergy straps for silicone straps) and it charges in under 30 minutes. Display looks awesome during bright daylight. I would say it is when it looks best. During dim light conditions, you will have to use the backlight.
While I do appreciate my elegant traditional watch for more formal occasions, this little guy is fun and I wear it all day. With the interchangeable straps system which you can easily find on the web just makes it that much more fun as a casual fashion accessory that also actually compliments your phone.
If you're looking for a practical solution, this is the smartwatch for you.
Always on, great selection of watchfaces and apps, multiple alarms and timers, waterproof and 7-day battery life - nobody can beat that!
The new open source software includes a step counter and sleep monitor, plus all kinds of other cool stuff...for example, dictate a note to your watch and it will transcribe it!
Anyhow, it comes with a leather strap, (which is not waterproof) but I'm ditching it for a Pebble stainless steel link watch band. Also, I recommend a protective clear skin like gadgetwraps if you want to keep your timepiece in pristine condition.
Very satisfied with this purchase!
Like many of the reviews out there say, the Pebble Time Steel is exactly what it is supposed to be… a great watch that has tons of apps and easily lasts 7 days of heavy use without having to charge. I really wanted an LG Watch Urbane, but all reviews from all over the world say that Android Wear watch batteries only last about 1.5 days and much less with heavy use. I chose the Pebble Time Steel because of the amazing battery life and don't regret it. Is the screen perfect? No. The resolution could be better, the low light visibility could be better, but in bright light and direct sunlight it beats any screen around, it is big enough to be useful and gets the job done. In low light the backlight is good and the new firmware lets you adjust it up to a fair level. I now get to leave my cell phone on my desk since the watch stays connected all around the house. I get all notifications right away and I love the ability to respond to SMS via voice directly on the watch. I hate texting so this feature is fantastic and works perfectly. I was very surprised at how well it does voice to text. If you want a watch that is always on (like a watch should be), that does not need to be charged every day, that looks nice, that does not need to be rebooted and that has great support from the manufacturer and community then I highly recommend the Pebble Time Steel. Also to note, spend extra to get the Time Steel instead of the regular Pebble Time. The glass on the Steel version is Gorilla Glass, the buttons are metal and the battery lasts longer.
This is a great looking smart watch with outstanding battery life. The interface is simple to use and has a quirky style. The always on screen is a huge plus in terms of Pebbles function as an actual watch.
It lacks some of the functions of some of the other smart watches out there and the screen is a little bit difficult to see in low light.
