Super fast.

I put one of these in my 3-year old HTPC after upgrading to a NAS and no longer requiring large amounts of on-board storage. It's really fast. The computer boots in well under 60 seconds, programs open almost instantly and run without hiccup. I would highly recommend this drive to anyone looking for a speed boost.

Computer Decongestant

Over the past 20 years I've been copying all my files every time I bought a new computer. My computer became a repository of obsolete Windows files. It had over 1 GB of duplicates spread over several thousand files. It frequently took an hour or more of repeated start up attempts to get things running properly. My new solid state drive was installed with up to date Windows system files. I'm using the old hard drive for big memory items like photos and videos. I've deleted all Windows files and all drivers on the old drive. I'm now seeing start times of about 30 seconds. Bottom line is that the addition of a solid state drive let me isolate the good files from the bad ones and my computer performance is the best ever.

Worthy Upgrade

With a little research, this SSD was a breeze to install. I put my OS on it and I couldn't believe how fast it boots up. I ran some tests and wasn't surprised at its speeds since I discovered the stories were true about boot up times. I'll be using the SSD for whatever games I'm into at the moment. I hear BF4 maps load 5-10x faster. There are specific DOs and DONTs when it comes to SSDs. I recommend you do some research on them if you're new to the tech.

fast performance

Purchased this SSD when on sale. It is bundled with a data transfer software to move the working system from old drive to this SSD. It is easy to follow. I could tell the big difference of speed once it was installed. Especially on Lightroom and Element, however it is better to use an SSD of 480GB or more because 240GB leaves my computer with 2GB free when working on above programs, then triggers warnings of low memory. Before hand, I checked the old drive only used 214Gb, so the bigger, the better. Hope Best Buy will carrty SSD of high capacity. This is the time to upgrade again.
