Not ready for prime time

The control system on XBox One is terrible, an update did nothing to fix it. Studio head tells complainers that he is proud of being unprofessional. Not much chance for this game to be fixed with that attitude. Give this a miss

OK game

Nice graphics, but too repetitive, seasons too long and confusing sometimes, bad turning and crashing reality similarity.

Brutal yet so Rewarding

The title of my review says it all! This game gives away with the "Nannies" we are used to seeing in so many of today's 'Racing" games and punishes the player that makes that one mistake during the race. Patience is a virtue in this game as one wrong move and you are forced to finish at the back of the grid! Pro's: Graphics Track Selection Ease of Menu's Con's No real reward system as the whole kit is unlocked from the start Controls: Takes so long to get it fine tuned Lack of cars: Just no enough

Definitely Worth the Purchase

This game has all the quality and realism of the Forza series, but you will not be smashing stuff for points, this is a true racing sim ‘game’ with all the reactive dynamics and atmospheric effects you would find in the real world. To get the most out of this game a force feedback wheel system would be ideal, but you don’t need one to enjoy the experience. Work your way up the ladder by racing clean and getting noticed by teams who offer you contracts, or just free play a multitude of different cars on different tracks. There is even a Legends Series with several old school Lotus’ to choose from. The amount of car adjustments is amazing and you can save different set ups for different track conditions. The lead foot will find Project Cars annoying as you cannot just get on the track and put your foot to the floor, it’s like a real high horse power vehicle, you need to have finesse and exorcise restraint with the throttle and braking.

Too many bugs, could be great but needs fixing.

The steering is a mess, it's twitchy and will suddenly go full lock. The cars and tracks look really good and overall this game could be fun, but not as shipped. It's also single player, unless you play online, I like to play against friends when they visit me so that sucks. I didn't know that though because I preordered. Wait for updates and patches before buying.
