Doesn't get off the ground.

I got this home and charged it up, but it doesn't have enough power to get off the ground. I'm suspecting a faulty motor as it's not able to hold any consistent speed without fluctuating. Further, whilst the blades move pretty fast, it's nowhere near the speed you see in other RC Helicopters. I've owned cheaper RC Helicopters (cheapest being ~$20) and they've worked out of the box, so I was a tad disappointed at this one. When I read the reviews, however, it sounds like a common problem. Other than the fact it doesn't work, the build quality of the frame is good and the landing feet are metal instead of plastic. The balance bar is a little thinner than that found on cheaper models, but it does have a little more flex to it, so it may withstand impact during accidents a little better than cheaper helicopters. I'll be returning mine in the morning.

Doesn't fly!

I bought this helicopter as a Christmas present and it can't fly. It doesn't get off the ground. My husband tried everything to get it working. We're going to return it! It gets zero stars!

Nobody said it would be easy but when you first fly as a beginner and set this baby on the table ready to take off lets face it you may hit the roof the first time if you are a beginner which would cause frustration if it broke or a bad review. Well guess what this R/C helicopter is one of the most durable and break resistance toy I have ever flew indoors. Here is a small misconception people will argues parts can break easily, but if you where to fly outdoors where there is a few factors such as wind, or cold climate it will make plastic parts brittle due to cold and easier to break on impact, my suggest is fly indoors where its warmer and the plastic will be more flexible also no wind involved. Also Best Buy carries replacement parts for this model which is the blades the only thing that's would need changing after a few dings. My overall experience is you get the best bang for your buck take advantage of the sale prices while you can. Have fun

Pure Awesome Heli!!

I got one of these and it's a dream to fly it! It's the best for beginner's! The only problem I had with it was the landing skid broke and I had to glue it. But other then that SO much fun to fly!

Good helicopter.

I bought a helicopter a few years ago, and it just didn't work well. I have wanted one for a while now, so I got one in early November. It handles great, and comes with spare parts if you damage it. It is small, but not so small you are scared to fly it or what ever. Nice lights on it too. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a good helicopter, that isn't too expensive.

Great copter

I really like this rc helicopter. It is fast and easily controled. Of course after crashing a few times, some non mechanical part may break but they can be easyly found. Overall! This is one of the best mini copter I own so far!

very good but very fragile plastic landing gear

this copter is the best of the mini/indoor copter i have ever tried. it flies great and can be controlled very well. the only thing i did not like is the landing gear. it was made of cheap plastic therefore, it could get broken easily. i've crashed this copter lots of times while flying it in my room and there was no problem at all.. this weekend, i flew it in a party hall and it crashed. unfortunately, the landing gear broke. it was disappointing. it would have been better if it was made of fiberglass, metal or harder plastic (at least) overall, buy it while it's on sale but be careful with it's "fragile" landing gear. i would have given a perfect 5 rating if my landing gear is still intact!

Takes a beating and is a lot of fun to operate

Difficult to get the hang of at first, but once you're on to it, this helicopter is loads of fun. It is very susceptible to drafts in certain areas of the house, especially along the floor, so in your first few flights try taking off from somewhere elevated. The only negative is that the support from Protocol is bad. I eventually broke the landing gear, and I haven't been able to order the spare part to replace it for 2 weeks. Can't get anyone live on the phone either. But for what I've put this thing through, it is a TOUGH bird.

Sweet handling little copter!

Little tricky at first, but after you get the hang of it this is a really sweet handling copter!

Virtually impossible to fly

I read some reviews of this copter on other sites and almost picked on up before Christmas. I'm glad I didn't. I picked this up after Christmas at the sale price and even that was too much. The instructions say to hover the copter at 3 feet to adjust the trim to prevent tail rotation. I did get it to hover enough to elimate the tail rotation; however, the dang thing will NOT hover in one spot. It drifts either left or right and getting it to hover at one hight was extremely difficult.. If this is the 'best flying helicopter in it's class' as the box states, I'd hate to see the worst.
