Still Working Great

This is a Review for the Tiamat 2.2. I've had these for 5 years now and it is still working great! It is the longest lasting Razer product i've owned. I like the deep bass for movies/music and the sound for gaming is decent. The mic works perfectly and people can hear me crystal clear with no issues. I have however been using a USB audio adapter for this instead of plugging in the 2 audio connectors, not sure if that makes a difference. The one negative is how the top cushion really messes up my hair after long use cause of the weird indents lol.

I would have to say no.

It came out fine, but then after a while. I noticed that there was an echo with the mic, if anything was fairly loud (If you could call it loud). Everybody I skype'd with could hear there own voice, and the game. The sound also had a tendency to glitch out, when the bass of anything kicked in. The sound would become static, and loud! I would have to say this is not a good headset, especially not if you're a YouTuber, or into music.

<3 my headphones!

ever since i got my headphones, they're incredible!! they pick up everything! i first tested them with a random episode of an old cartoon i used to watch (which was Gargoyles), you could hear all the growls, roars, snarls and everything and that's not bad for a 20 year old cartoon, they work perfectly in FFXI as well, nonetheless, incredible headphones and they're worth it! =)

For this price go for a sound company

Honestly these are horrid. No way else to explain it, I bought these and I was so excited to use them as my first headset... Once I plugged them in the sound hit me like a brick wall. The sound from them is like singing your favorite song while plugging your nose, with earplugs in... Super deep, very unnatural bass. The build quality is average as you'd expect for anything around that price point, problem areas are: the pull out mic has way too much play, and when the cord splits for audio and mic its like they decided to go from a cable to floss, it's crazy thin. They aren't bad headphones as long as you only listen to gunshots, explosions and footsteps but anything else you will be disappointment. For this price I would save a little buy a brand specializing in sound, and buy a cheap external microphone if you want to game.

very poor sound quality

Decided to purchase these as my first gaming oriented headset, with my experience with Razer products I thought it would be a good quality product but after using them I don't feel that way. Has very deep bass with no acoustics, everything is muffled out by the rumbling bass. I watched a movie, as well as listened to music with them and needless to say I'm disappointed with this product. Build quality is great but sound is just too poor to even bother with. Although, I have been using HiFi headphones from very respectable companies my entire life, so that may create a little bias since they are very different. In all if you care about sounds do not purchase these.

LOVE THAT HEADSET!

So yeah as the title of the review says, for the first time on my headsets history, those Headsets are the best of those that I have chosen. Everything is great about this headset! The microphone is really good, almost crystal clear voice, speakers in it are very good. The only thing though is the leather earpiece on the headset... your ears get a little wet after a loooong while of having them and I noticed that when you have them for quite some hours, you will feel the bumps on your head. Like your skull get squished a little on the top but it goes away after a while not wearing them. But overall, really good headsets for the "little son" of the Tiamat 7.1 and I am proud of my shopping. Been about 2 - 3 months that I have them now and I don't think I will change headsets for about 5 years.
