Not a Smart TV - Internet access it is

Stupid TV is not compatible with Samsung Smart View... Wow !! So forget about controlling it with a phone or tablet which is what a Smart TV is. Picture is good, menus are slow, sound is terrible. Back to the store it goes

Bad tv

Not worth it, the apps don't work well, iPad YouTube remote thing doesn't work. If you spend that much you should at least get a wall mount.

Not such a good TV

Unfortunately, I returned this TV. Picture was great - really awesome. But sound quality was poor. Promised app - according to setup guide & Samsung website, the app should work - but when downloaded & installed got a message that the TV didn't support it. Also, wireless is not so wireless - to utilize TV with a computer, you require HDMI setup. Again, the Samsung website says that you can use the TV as a wireless display - you can't. When I spoke to Samsung about the 2 issues, they were somewhat apologetic but seemingly "shrugged their shoulders". With unfulfilled promises and not so great customer service, I returned the TV and exchanged it for another brand.

Tv is great for its price great picture every app you need but the speakers of tv are very low quality it sounds kinda tinny almost but I have speakers already setup so that isn't to much of a issue for me as it might be for other people

No Power Cord

Unit did not ship with a power cord. Not worth the money, better off to spend a little more and get much more value in a bigger TV.

Inconvenient

- My major problem was that the YouTube app fails to mirror my ipad's or my android cell phone's YouTube. It starts to load the video and then it goes back to YouTube home page. - The remote control has no short cuts to Netflix or to YouTube. You have to go thru 3 or 4 screens before you reach the app you are looking for. - Graphic User Interface for menus and setting not so friendly, and quite complicated. - The menus disappear from the scree after 3 seconds before you finish reading them - Speaker are quite week. Unexpected from a medium-price TV like that

Great Picture but Sound is terrible very tinny

Great tv but will be returning because of terrible tinny sound....even after adjustments. At my price point can't afford a external sound speaker.

Average

The sound is Harsh & inferior to my former low cost Machine. Picture is OK. may try to hook up to stero speakers - if i get help from family support crew. So It's OK, 0 thing special.

Average

I bought it in order to use it with my laptop. The quality is average. There's no light when it's on , no headphone jack, no on/off & other control buttons on the TV, the sound is terrible so I have to buy a Bluetooth speaker. I did expect more from Samsung. Compared to Sony, Samsung is below average.

Good buy

Generally very happy with this purchase. Great picture, especially in sports mode. I was told a 60 Hz TV wouldn't be best for sports but I find the picture excellent for all sports. In a small room the speakers are okay, but I've got mine hooked up to a sound bar and, again, excellent. One thing I don't like is the way the screen seems to darken when it goes from a fairly well lit scene in a show to a dark one, or over closing credits, but it's liveable. The "smart" part is okay. Takes a while to load and using the internet browser is a challenge, but I love some of the apps - the National Film Board one is great. Most of the fee movie channels have really bad films - a few gems, but they don't take long to watch. Many of the internet channels are useless - foreign language or low quality or both - so I don't use 90% of what's there. Internet radio tuner is great. If you're looking for a TV that gets you access to streaming for channels like Netflix or Crave and a few free extras - this TV will give you that with a great picture. I'll definitely buy a Samsung again, but next time, I think I'll skip the "smart" and spend more on the TV and buy a Roku stick and see if that's better.

Good basic TV

I bought two of these. So far no issues. The price has dropped twice so Best Buy's price guarantee has been really helpful. Picture is good. Smart features are good (this is my first Smart TV). Two complaints are: Sound could be better - voices from the TV seem very tinny. Also, the stand is very weird. The legs are very wide (installed at corners of the TV) so it doesn't sit well on a smaller table. It would be better to have a central pedestal stand. I'm going to wall mount it anyway.

Narrow Audio File Playback capability

This Samsung is disappointing in that it cannot play a wide variety of audio file formats.

Picture is acceptable but Audio is really bad

Got this today as a replacement TV on a factory defective unit i bought (a different brand) which was not available. For the same price, the other brand was definitely better in terms of picture and especially sound quality and had more USB ports! I might be returning this tomorrow and wait for the same replacement even if delivery time will take weeks.

It works.

We bought it to replace the 32" HD Panasonic TV we got 3 years ago which was NOT a smart TV, and for which we had paid [price] (including tax). We're pleased. No complaint.

Not that smart and way to slow

1) Took 3-4 mins to connect WIFI every time you start your TV. 2) Typical Samsung product, cheap processors with slow fancy UI. TV navigation is so slow and remote feel unresponsive all the time. 3) YouTube app cashes all the time after pairing to your phone. Can be used as a normal TV if you have Apple TV or Ruku or external DVR (bell etc). Basically do not use TV remote.

Processor not fast enough

I bought this TV online before Boxing Day, delivery was fast that and that's the only thing about it that was fast. The TV's processor was too slow as in my opinion it takes long go online especially connecting to Netflix, you may think Netflix isn't working, I already have two other 32" Samsung TV 5500 models two year ago and they are outright faster. The picture quality isn't really bad neither is it very good. I don't play games so can't comment on its abilities in relation. The TV stand is a bad idea, it's not stable enough for kids and also selective to fancy type smaller TV stands, due to its distance between both legs, it's surprisingly very light weight "not sure if that's good or bad". I think it's better for a wall mount rather than using its legs. Otherwise it's a fare deal

Looks Great Sounds Meh

This TV is in a small den so the size is perfect, the previous unit was a Samsung 22" that was about 11 years old. It was an exceptionally good TV and had great sound but the speakers were starting to cut out so it was time to upgrade to match the output of our Rogers Nexbox. For sure it is tinny sounding but you can partially mitigate that with some of the settings or running it thru a sound bar or your existing sound system. I also think some of it is just getting used to it even if the sound of the explosions in your average teen boy blow up video are not to spec. As far as the stand being a "fatal flaw"...get a life, install the legs correctly (took me 2 minutes) and position it in an area where it is not going to get clipped.

Don't believe everything you read

I got this in-store during Black Friday. It's not as good as the other reviewers make it sound but it's not horrible either. Pros: *affordable 1080p LED HDTV *Rated as one of the fastest "input lag" TV's of 2015 (29ms, that's pretty much as good as it gets) *Picture is good but requires a LOT of tweaking. I'll post what I found the best combo below *Smart hub and wi-fi work well. Browser isn't as fast as my laptop/game consoles but I didn't expect it to be. Cons: *Motion blur is pretty bad. hard to explain but if only happens during slowly moving camera-pans or objects moving across the screen. Played a lot of Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) and Black Ops 3 (PS4) without it being noticeable but extremely noticeable while playing The Last of Us Remastered & Skyward Sword (Wii) *Look at the TV and tell me where the speakers are. Yeah exactly. They're microscopic and sound microscopic. *This TV has a fatal design flaw. The stand (two legs at both ends of the TV that separate into two feet each so four feet all together) props the TV up about 2 inches MAX. So if you want a sound bar.. tough luck. You can't elevate the TV because of the awkward stand and you can't put it under the TV because it'll block the remote sensor and probably some of the screen too. *really annoying auto dimming. So far it hasn't happened to me during gameplay but during black loading screens the screen goes as dim as possible so any little text or objects on the screen while it's mostly black will become hard to read/see. So far this hasn't caused any video game deaths because it's only happened during loading screens *bad judder during movies and TV shows. I've seen worse TV's though. Best picture settings (in my opinion) Mode: Standard Backlight-20, Contrast-100, Brightness-39, Sharpness-45, Color-50 Advanced Settings-turn everything off except "Black Tone" set that to "Darkest" Picture options-turn everything off. HDMI Black level to "normal"

Good for the Price

A good TV with WIFI and browser capability. Image quality is excellent, just pay attention to setting up its stand legs which looks simple but, double check they are secure.

Great buy

I bought tv along with roku stick online last week. Delivered earlier than expected. It is so convenient specially with the free shipping. I am very skeptical about online purchases. But, I have very good experience with best buy.ca. I bought a 43 inch tv couple weeks before buying this tv. But, I found out I could not use it with roku stick. So, I returned it to the nearest shop. Return is so easy. No wait time and I got all my money back. Very happy with bestbuy.ca. Easy to install the tv. I am not at all a technical person. But I was able to install the tv and connect roku stick to it. No issues so far

Very good picture

Bought this tv a couple weeks ago. Nice picture, clear, no shaddowing or bleeding, fast actions are clear as well. We are very satisfied with this tv. Prior we bought 2 difference tv that were 720p, and were very upset with the quality of the picture. This one we are satisfied and picture does not compare to the other two we bought elsewhere.
