Love my Samsung

This is my first tablet wanted an android and this is what I needed. Quick, beautiful resolution with the screen, the double screen come in handy, and I like the ability for the extra storage with the sd card, 64 gig all together. Lots of free apps. Battery life will do 10 hour but again is what you run. For what I paid compare for other big name products very happy with my purchase.

great value and battery life

Less sleek looking that the newer tablets in the market nowadays, but it does its job really well! Fast and stable. Love the S planner function/UI, it's just so much more intuitive that the one on my phone (which uses Google calendar). Battery lasts very long too! The one thing I am finding so far is that the sensor sometimes don't seem to pick up my finger touch along the edges of the screen (which is needed often as you have to flick from the edge upwards to get to the notifications tabs). The S pen works just fine for that but it just doesn't pick up my finger the same, so that's the only downfall I see in this tablet... If you are looking for something that works and is not someone that needs the newest model of things, this is a totally worthwhile investment!

never regretting

It took me almost a year to decide what tablet to buy. I never regretted choosing this tablet. It's easy to use, has so many applications. Love the stylex to take notes at meeting. It's been a year and I take it everywhere I go. It doesn't replace a computer but it's versatile.

Screen is too sensitive and I just lost my review

This may be the second part of my review or the first part if the original went to lah lah land because of the sensitive touch of the screen. I purchased it for Christmas for my wife and I to replace our Blackberry playbooks. She is taking a 6 week course to learn how to use it and showing me a few tricks. I'M DISAPPOINTED with it's inability to playback music from a website using Flash Player by Microsoft. My playbook does this extremely well! Overall I give it a 7.5.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Android

I purchased this item because it featured quad core. 32G along wih many other features. I have a Samsung Cell and was pretty sure this would stand up to the same standard. I am a little slow in learning Tech stuff cause I wasn't born yesterday , but with the help of grandchildren and their freinds, I am beginning to really appreciate this unit.I don't believe anyone would regret purchasing it. I feel there is so much more positive experience to come , as I continue on my learning path. C'mon go for it

Worth buying.

In short, product is worth buying. Overall, Samsung Galaxy Note is good in terms of its features, battery life (>7 hrs.), Screen display and sound quality. Using pen has its own advantages. My concern is that it takes long enough time;more that 5 hours to charge fully. This product would have with USB port. Thanks for reading my views. Best,

Great Tablet, Good Value

Owned an iPad before which was fine until Apple stopped support. After hunting for a new one, took a look at what was available and eventually bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and compared to the iPad, it is much much faster and responsive. The UI is much nicer than IOS7 which is pretty bad at this point, not sure what Apple was thinking here. I am running all the same APPs as before and with the great UI and performance, it's clear that Apple has fallen behind the curve. I also like that it comes with a real pen that can be used to work with many APPs or write, compared to the iPad after market pens, which are useless.. If you are looking for a great table, get the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 :)

S Pen is the clincher

I bought this tablet for two reasons, the S-pen and its relative economic price. In regards to the S pen... I waited too long to buy a Samsung Note Tab 10.1. I could have been using this tablet months ago for my drawing, silly me. Sure Android is not a full OS like Windows which allows you control over much of the file system, but the Samsung Note Tab 10.1 is half the price of a Surface Pro. If you are an artist... you need a tablet with a pressure sensitive pen, and currently the 10.1 is one of the largest drawing areas and most economical prices. You will be glad you bought one.

This is a great device (once you get used to the android quirks - I am also a playbook user) made better by the included stylus. Using it for business and is everything I hoped it would be.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Purchased it in June, 2013 and love it. It is fast and intuitive. The 32 GB allows you to put in a lot of data. My only issue with this Tablet and indeed with all the Samsung Tablets is that the external microsd card cannot be put to much use as no app can be moved into it.. You can only upload photos and songs. Samsung will have to bring in an update so that apps can be moved to the SD to increase its capacity, otherwise their Tablets will lose their appeal. A word of advice: do not go for any tablet that has an internal memory of less than 32 GB as eventually you will run out of space. Last year, I purchased a 7 inch Samsung Tablet which had only 8 GB of internal memory. I ran out of space and had to dispose it off.

It's not as good as I expected

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 after months of researching and looking at video reviews. I was really expecting a much better experience. The S Pen was not as accurate as I would've liked. If you're not using it completely vertical, it does not register very well. The screen is not HD, which for me I didn't really care. But the auto brightness definitely needs improvement. At random times when I'm in the same room, same place, it changes the brightness up and down. S Note was very cool but I noticed they didn't include any blank paper for doodling. The only paper you could really attempt to draw on was lined paper and graph paper. The battery life on this product is mediocre. It has a 7000 mAh battery which is exceptionally large, but it loses battery very rapidly. You will have to go by every day charging it. And it takes a long time to charge. It's not like your phone where it charges in 2-5 hours, it's more like it's charging all night. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is not very interesting in style and is made completely out of plastic. While some people say that makes it feel cheap, it gets you a way better wifi and Bluetooth signal than a metal made tablet. The back of the tablet is not textured which means it doesn't give a very grip able back. It can easily slip out of your hand. The tablet is not heavy, but for some it will be awkward to hold in one hand. The overall value of this tablet is not really worth the money. [...]

Excellent tablet

I purchased my Galaxy Note 10.1 in May. It's my first tablet and thus far I love it. Easy to use. Love the expandable memory, not avialable on some other tablets. S pen feature is amazing and accurate. Tablet is fast. It's wifi range is incredible. I'd recommend this tablet to anyone. It is in my opinion one of the best tablets out there. Don't get caught up on screen resolution numbers as you can barely notice any difference. Of all the other tablets this one just feels right. It's so intuitive and just works right. Everything is in the right place and everything flows as it should. The extra cost is well worth it.

Forget all other brands!!!

After using the Samsung tablet for 8 months, it is obvious that it is superior to Apple. My 24 month old son will pick up the tablet, turn it on, swipe to get apps and find his favorite kid friendly games or even open Netflix and browse and play his favorite shows. Apple has been designed in the same way, but is more cumbersome when closing apps, moving backwards in an app, and Apple won't let you view 2 apps at the same time via 2 window's being opened that you can size. My iphone4 that I have used for close to three years, is good, but the single button at the bottom of the screen has to be pressed more than several times to work, (not as much a problem when new). My wife and 6 year old also find the Samsung easy to use and it has all the apps they could want. This product feels nice, screen is as good as my iphone when streaming Netflix. Also the memory is expandable, it is easy to put HD quality movie files on the expandable memory unlike the Ape products. In conclusion the Samsung is great for the whole family with more flexibility and functionality than the Apple products. It is an easy decision hands down. Go SAMSUNG!

Awesome Tablet

I use it for doing daily paintings with Sketchbook Pro, and am very pleased with the results. The pen is very sensitive and responsive. I also do a lot of writing, using Lecture Notes and Write. Much nicer than writing on paper. Browsing the net, email, games, and reading ebooks is terrific. This tablet has a whole slew of features I haven't had a chance to try yet, but what I see so far is awesome. Highly recommended.

This tablet Rocks!

The best ever tablet you can own, the S-PEN and its applications makes paper books and notepads a history! Now, I only have my galaxy note in my bag no more notepads or books hardcopies, that is too old for me now :) Really satisfied. The only drawback is the screen resolution that makes tiny writing hard to do because of the pixel details. I think the next generation will have a higher resolution.

The Galaxy Note Of Life

When you unbox it, its nicely packaged and you take it out put in information and done! You just put in some information to start on the galaxy note. I think that the galaxy note is the best because it doesn't freeze that much at all and it has lots of useful apps for people to use on it and you can play really fun games on the galaxy note! You can also change the language for the galaxy note 10.1 32GB. You can also have your parents or elders like a sister or a brother to go on this Galaxy Note and would like it because you can go on this note app and you can draw things or write things that are important or you can do your math or anything actually on this galaxy note 10.1. Also it has a pen! The galaxy note is a very useful tool/tablet that could be almost used for everything in the world! It also charges a little bit slow but also it lasts for a long time so when you go on a trip or anything in a car or vehicle, the galaxy note lasts for a long time so you can use it when you're in the car. Finally, it will be very fun for a child to play on it because if you have the case, it’s less likely to break it by dropping it.

Best tablet just got better

Not only did the recent Android 4.1 update take one of the best tablets on the market and make it better, Samsung thru in their own Premium Suite update as well. Search the net for more info. The 'S' pen is a very nice option to have. Even if you don't see yourself wanting that feature you may end up using it for some things as I did. Photo Shop, S-Planner, S-Note and other free full version software is preloaded due to the S-pen and is great to have and use. The IR blaster is handy if you want to set this up as a large hand held remote but perhaps not very practical for most. Battery life is good, the performance is very smooth and although this tablet may be more expensive than some lesser known brands this is worth every penny. Screen resolution is clear, colorful and bright, don't get hung up on the numbers when comparing to others. 2GB of RAM allows this tablet to run extremely smooth especially with it's snappy processor. WiFi is solid and it's range is excellent. Being able to add a micoSD card allows this tablet to be flexible on how and where you store data. (You would think that would be standard for all tablets). On the downside, the adapter for charging and other connections is Samsungs proprietary one, so its just one more thing to carry around with you. Accessories are very hard to find.

Awesome tablet

This is my first tablet and I am very impressed. The style and features are great. I did research and read reviews and this tablet along with the other sizes it comes in is tops. I like the dual camera feature and the stylus it comes with. I recently download a free antivirus program and noticed the performance slowed down a bit - ie. it takes longer to start up and shut down. Overall, a pretty good tablet and I would recommed it.

Jelly Bean Update is amazing!

I've had this tablet for a month now but with the jelly bean update it's superb. The multiscreen option is now more customizable - you can have more than two applications open and you can resize them to fit your needs. You can create custom s pen commands and the s note now has the option of blocking touch writing (therefore only your s pen will be able to write on the note and not your hand). There are also more S note widgets which are really nice. The update also made it faster and smoother. Love it!

Great tablet

I did alot of research before purchasing a tablet, and decided on getting the Note 10.1. This tablet is amazing for productivity and cannot be matched in that regards and is the only one that comes with an s-pen. Jelly bean (4.1.2) is now available and has made this tablet extremely fast and smooth. The only minor complaint would be screen resolution which is on the low side by today's standards but it should not be a deal braker as it is still of very good quality. This is also one of the best sounding tablets with the front facing speakers which makes it very enjoyable for watching movies or music. This tablet is amazing to say the least and highly recommend it.

Good tablet, but not by itself

This is the first tablet I've purchased, and I like it a lot. Fortunately though, I have a backup computer, because this tablet can't do everything a laptop can do. For one thing, it doesn't support Flash, so you're forced to download apps for certain services . These apps don't include the full service available on the website, so it can be very frustrating at times. Also, and this isn't the tablet's fault, I've noticed that since the apps are made by different developers there's no consistency between function. The way you copy and paste differs depending on what program you use. My final complaint is that the battery connection is on the bottom of my tablet, and I bought a keyboard/cover. I have to flip the tablet upside down to charge. For the most part this is only a minor problem, but some apps can only be viewed right side up. Now for the good. I do really like this tablet. It has a long battery life, lots of apps are available and the screen is clear. I also love that it came with a stylus, it's a very helpful tool.

Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Note

I did some research and decided on this tablet, I do not regret it. Finding accessories for this product is lacking at the moment, but hopefully in the recent future more will come out. The S Pen is incredible for defacing pictures, writing notes, etc. I love the fact that it works like an actual pen instead of a stylus. Some programs will allow you to set it on a mode that will only detect the S Pen, so if you touch the screen with your finger it won't register which makes it nice not to have a bunch of random marks on whatever you are doing when you decide to rest your hand on the screen. The built in compartment for the pen is nice, but it would be more useful at the top of device. The Internet browser that is pre-installed on the tablet allows you to search with voice commands which makes it easier than using the on touch keyboard. Multi-tasking and switching between windows is simple, and the tablet rarely lags. There is also a built in task manager showing you the ram you are using and giving you the option to close some programs or close them all. The camera is decent, but could be way better. I wouldn't recommend using it as your primary camera. There are tons of options to lock the device, whether by facial recognition, a password, a pattern drawn, or a pin. Overall, worth buying.

Better than IPAD hands down!!

Bought for the Wife, as a gift. HD Video playback is flawless. Battery life is good. Wireless is fine. Built in Camera is not as good as Iphone, but I use my Canon Rebel for photos and HD Video. Expandable memory very easy to use, put a 1GB movie on the SD card from your PC and play back on the tablet with ease. Bought 32GB and expanded capacity to 64GB. Considering the price during boxing day for the tablet and the 32GB SD card, this is the best value ever.... you can buy 10 SD cards,,, put all your movies on them and drop them into your tablet any time.... awesome stuff. Haven't figured out how to create shortcuts on main pages, b/c not intuitive at this point, hope there is a way otherwise, this will become a complaint. (I haven't read the manual and figured everything else b/c the interface is relatively easy to use,,,,, did I mention the wife figured it out too!!!) Not as many apps as Iphone, but I do have a life and don't want to spend it all on the tablet. Speakers are great, loud when watching tv shows online. Used SKYPE problem free, Microphone does not interfere with speakers. Features that beat APPLE.... , you can have two apps open side by side, unlike Ipad, and you don't have just one button to control everything, which on my I Phone is starting to wear out. My next phone will be a samsung galaxy, and I will definitely by another Samsung Tablet. This is a better product than the IPAD by far, Apple is scaling back production of the iphone5 and Samsung is growing rapidly, it is no wonder why!!!

Not bad, but there's room for improvement

some complaints: -when you use the s-note from the small bar at the bottom, the note is only limited to a small area(you can however expand it) but i wish you can scroll down or sideways -the hand-writing recognition works well, but it's not very practical unless you write stuff down without pausing to think. Every time you pause, and start writing again, it starts a new text box. So in the end you're left with fragments of sentences which just looks messy. So I just stick to jotting stuff down. -had some problems with charging the battery, don't know if it will work better after a few charge cycles tho. -the screen keeps dimming and brightening almost at random(even when it's not set to power saving mode) ***hopefully Samsung will release some updates to make adjustments to the above concerns, but overall the tablet is great! What I liked: -the pen works great! It's an indispensable part of this tablet! Now that i've become so accustomed to it, I'll never go back to using tabs without pens(that are actually optimized for the tab! not just stylus pens that are mere extensions of our fingers!) -the multiscreen works great, and hopefully Samsung will add more apps that are compatible with it. Personally, I think this is the best tablet on the market today especially for students who love to multitask & save time doing homework and assignments! Hopefully, more companies will jump on the idea and incorporate pens and multiscreens with their tabs.

Amazing Tablet

Use the stylus or not, the tablet is amazing, light weight, and easy to find accessories for it online. Love the tablet, the S-Pen and its accuracy, a lot better than styli with other tablets! Overall 5/5 , very pleased with this tablet, had it for a little over 2 weeks. No problems so far, Jelly Bean update is on its way as well so it gets even better!

Amazing device

I absolutely love this device. Great performance with Samsung's Exynos quad core processor and 2 of RAM. The S pen isa pleasure to use for simple note taking or even signing PDF's at work. When researching this product some stated the resolution of the screen was lacking. I can't see what people are complaining about becausei think the screen is breathtaking. It is almost as crisp as my 8 series 55" Samsung led TV. I love this tablet and it is a great value.

Fantastic Tablet

I had a chance to use the Note 10.1 and the Asus Transformer Infinity side by side for a couple days and I ended up returning the Asus. The Samsung just works smoother for an all great experience. With the Asus the hardware was excellent but when used somewhat mildly it would lag quite a bit and apps would crash. I also own a Samsung Galaxy S3 so learning how to use it was very easy as most of the UI was dentical. If your looking for a tablet with a decent screen, an excellent processor, and an overall lag free experience then you should buy this tab.

Awesome Drawing Tablet

This tablet is excellent value for money. It has Wacom technology built in with 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. I've had it for a week and have used it to draw with every day for hours each day. I had a couple of Wacom Cintiqs and this is better as I'm not tethered to my desk and can draw wherever I feel inspired. On top of the drawing abilities, the tablet is fast, games run great and I'm overall very pleased with this tablet.

Transition from new iPad to Galaxy Note 10.1

I have been looking for a tablet to read and annotate pdf documents. I have a new iPad (i.e., iPad 3), but somehow I get really bad eye strain when I read from iPads. I like this tablet better than my iPad for the following reasons. 1) I don't get the same eye strain. 2) It feels much lighter than the iPad. I can hold it and read it for long time. 3) I like the S-pen, even though I do not use it as often as I thought. The S-pen has huge potential, but it does not seem to be fully exploited yet. One common complaint is that its body is made of plastic. I don't mind the plastic feel because I think that is a part of the reason why it's so light.

absolutely wonderful!

Solid device. I love the feel of the tablet when holding it. I bought the nexus 7 and the tf300 and returned both and after I read the reviews on the note 10.1.we also have the iPad which my wife uses primarily. I love what Samsung has done with the software. It is fluid and runs without any hiccups (users of other android tablets know what I am talking about!). If you need a more controlled system and you want to be able to use your tablet for productivity as well as consumption, then this is for you. I firmly believe Samsung has got a winner here with this device. The multitasking is really handy and I also love the s-pen. I know I will be using this alot to jot down notes. The fact that you can have you movies running while you do other work is priceless....this is what I am talking about when I say Samsung has a winner, it's all these little things that makes this tablet stand out for me. Multitasking, being able to take notes like you would with an old fashion pen and paper, the calendar with Samsung's own look and feel., the stereo speakers, the vivid screen, the 2 GB of ram, the lighting fast quad-core, the microSD expansion, the Samsung's software tweaks on the base android (which is absolutely a joy to work with)...I can go on and on. I will not even compare this to "you know who", there is no comparison in my opinion. This is a far more superior tablet. It does all of what the "other" can do and MORE..... stop looking this tablet is the one android tablet we were all waiting for. Buy it and feel the joy of using a top notch device with top notch quality.
