Unless you are a Google / Facebook / you name...

This Android system is useless unless one is willing to be a fan of Facebook / Google / Tweeter / ... If you wish to live your life on the outside of this colossal nefarious conglomerate, don't buy this product. Without handing out my private information to Google and Co., I can't upgrade the OS or even download virus / adware protection, which it really needs. So here it sits: true to its name "Google Hemorrhoid".

Samsung Galaxy Tab

Overall it's a good product. My old one just died so I stayed with the same product. It works just as good as my old one which I loved. The only thing I've noticed is that the volume for watching movies or videos I've downloaded is much lower than my old one. Game volume is the same. Also I use a protector so store it in with the 4 elastic tabs on each end to hold my tablet. Unfortunately the on/off button is so sensitive on the new tablet that it keeps shutting off. Other than that it's a fun tablet to own and I recommend it.

Dissapointing

Great product for the first few days, but soon becomes very slow and the browser crashes frequently. Then, none of the apps could load wifi which was very frustrating. I restarted the tablet and internet and multiple other possible solutions but nothing worked.

Galaxy Tab 3 7" - a solid performer!

I am very particular and I read most of the geek reviews on available 7" tablets prior to purchasing the Galaxy Tab 3 7". I was leaning towards two other products however I was able to find a working unit on display and after a 10 minute "hands on" demo of the Galaxy Tab 3 7" was my choice. This unit is capable of performing true multitasking such as watching a video (reduced screen size) while surfing the net in the background at the same time... try that on another tablet! The Samsung TouchWiz user interface is nice to use compared to others and the overall tablet design is comfortable in the hand and isn't heavy. The battery life is as specs suggest which is about 8 hours in regular use. There's even a power saving feature found in the notification section which will reduce energy drain by cutting back slightly on the CPU and the display while sacrificing little performance. Samsung's unique music and video apps are both feature rich, easy to use and well thought out compared to offerings from Google Play. The built in microSD card slot (with built in cover door) is another big 'plus' and I bought a 32GB card to hold music, docs, videos, photos with lots of room to spare. The overall performance of this Galaxy Tab 3 7" is far better than I was led to believe from the geek speak reviews. Samsung engineers obviously knew what they were doing in matching components for this 7" tablet. It performs very well in the real world where it counts most.... For book reading, email, browsing, videos (+HD), photo viewing or Skyping this unit does it all competently. Video display and photo images are crisp, sharp and rich in color. The stereo sound is crisp (music app has wide range of equalizer settings) through dual speakers located on the bottom. This is my second tablet, my first having quad core processors and I found this tablet not lacking in practical real world performance and I especially like the Galaxy Tab 3 7" user interface which allows me to tailor the tablet the way I like it to be which is another big plus. This is an excellent well designed product and I recommend it as a solid performing 7" tablet.

Good Value but a very slow processor

It's not a bad tablet for the price but buyer beware. The processor is very slow and clunks along while attempting to surf the web. Games can be choppy so take your "patience" meds. Sound is great and the battery life is fantastic. I've given it to my 5 yr old and he loves it. Spend the extra money and get a better processor.

Returned this item after a week

I bought this a couple weeks ago based merely on its price and the brand name. The size was perfect for me, it is light and portable. The operative system is basically the same Android OS you would find in any other device, the issue with this one, which was the reason why I returned it, is that the hardware has incompatibility issues with the Android OS. This affects the display of the tablet causing an intermittent flickering. Very bad at sight specially if you read books. This is more a warning if you are thinking about buying this tablet.

Wasn't Impressed

The device feels very solid, heavy in my hands. I appreciate this, but wouldn't recommend it for people who tend to drop things - I'm sure it would be quite a heavy drop. Also, for a Samsung device, it was surprisingly sluggish, with not even a couple of sync accounts and nothing else running. I'm sure its stuck at Android 4.1 for good reason. camera leaves much to be desired. screen responsiveness is excellent, if not slowed down by sluggishness of the OS. I would recommend this to someone looking for good value -- comes with the no-comparison Office suite "Polaris Office" and a 50GB Dropbox storage, but overall the device only bests other budget tablets (Polaroid, HipStreet) just barely, while being much more expensive for its category, and doesn't try to compete with higher end tablets like Nexus or Galaxy Tab 3 8" or iPad Mini.

Price was right, not perfect though

I bought this Tablet on a whim. Saw it for [price] on sale, with 2 year warranty it came to little over [price]. Over all it's a handy little tablet it's nothing special just a toy to play with. I can see why this Tablet goes on sale all the time. It doesn't have a 1080p HD screen, only has a dual core processor also camera sucks. It's basically a blown up dumbed down version of the Galaxy S4. The slow speed takes a little getting used to, over all it does what it does well. If your looking to get your hands on a tablet but don't want to spend the stupid amount of money for an Apple Ipad min, or the google Nexus 7 which is by spec a better tablet. Without breaking the bank, this is the tablet to get. My only draw back is not having a 1080p screen, I can stand a slower processor the screen resolution bothers me. Come on Samsung next tab better have 1080p and be at this price point. It's a small gripe otherwise it's a fine machine. Expandable memory port up to 64GB SD mini. IR blaster so this can be your "smart remote" for your tv to impress your friends. Comes loaded with good apps, don't put to many on 8 GB doesn't give you a lot of space choose wisely what you want on it. You can not use the SD card to store apps. I don't regret buying it, Android is definitely using this Tablet to grab market share right under apples nose. It does what I need it to do if it's on sale and you have $150 burning a hole through your wallet or purse pick one up!

SO worth it

I bought this tablet for reading pdfs and watching youtube in bed, but once I got it I realized it was useful for so many more things. It's basically a large version of my Samsung Galaxy S4 and so it has all the apps my phone has, and with syncing software like dropbox or drive, you can access all of your documents between your phone, tablet, and computer. The only thing you notice is the screen quality is poorer (the S4 has a 1080p screen...), as well as the camera (S4 has a 13MP camera), and there's no LTE connectivity, just wireless. I took a picture with it and it might as well have been taken with a potato. Overall this product is a really really good deal. I bought mine during a boxing day sale, and it was an absolute steal. This tablet is great for traveling, and I never go out without it. No complaints. Sometimes the screen will darken in low light, but that's the only thing I haven't been able to figure out.

Great little toy

I really like this, I bought to use as an ereader but its great to have internet as well. The only fault I find with the internet is you can't set up a home button such as google screen and the touch is slow, sometimes I have to touch several times for the cursor to show up or when going into a website from the search engine. Other then that, great toy for the value.

Nothing works.

We bought this tablet expecting that it would be a good buy but nothing will download and the screen sensitivity is crazy, it either won't read my finger or it accidentally presses on something that I did not want to press. Terrible tablet, I would never buy another Samsung tablet again.

Amazing tablet

This was given to me as a birthday present. I never thought I would get much use out of it but it's amazing. I use it to read books, listen to music, play games, facebook and take pictures. It fits nicely in my purse and goes with me everywhere. I have never had a problem with the wifi or any other features. I bought one for my son and mother for Christmas. SOOOO WORTH THE MONEY!! I feel like I am ripping someone off by getting this product so cheap. I am hooking my son's up to the wireless printer and he won't need a computer anymore to do homework!!! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

Love it

I have now owned this tablet for over a month and absolutely love it. Not sure why people have issues with the wifi, I move from home to work to friends house and it connects without any problem to any of the wifi connections stored in its memory. Love the camera on it, it is perfect for what I need it for. I downloaded both Kindle and Kobo apps for e-reading, play some games, write notes and discover what else I can do with this. This is not my primary computer, I have a laptop for that. All in all this little tablet does what I want it to do and then some.

Out weighing Expectations

I will start by saying this is my first samsung product and first tablet although I have used others in the past. I was told when I bought the tablet that it would run slow and the battery would last onky 7-8 hours max. This tablet is actualy faster then some mthat I have used in the past, and the battery used for typing notes for school which is a lot of notes and keeping the net on a handout for 3-4 hours, it lasted well over 25 hours without charging. Now this tablet is not a gaming platform nor does it ever say it is. People here seem to think that a tablet is a gaming pc that fits in there hands but its not . This tablet also plays movies really well, I hope that anyone who buys this tablet will love it as much as I do and it really is amazing to use for school work.

I just bought this tablet y.day and overall it is a good tab, great screen quality but the camera, front and rear are hooorrrible quality, its such a shame. And my battery life claims to only last 2 hours..? Other than that it opens programs and apps fast and the screen resolution is amazing.

Reliable and affordable Samsung Galaxy

We have been using this tablet for over a month now. My son uses it to play his games, whereas my wife uses it to access skype and chat with her friends. We liked the ease of operation, quick access to wifi and acceptable battery life. The screen resolution is very good, sound and video quality is perfect. I have recommended this tablet to many friends.

Great Buy When on Sale

If you are looking for a nice small, lightweight, and attractive tablet and don't expect incredible performance then this is for you. This little guy is great for basic gaming, YouTube, movies, and internet browsing. If you are looking for a productivity power house then maybe look at the Tab 3 8 or even better yet, the Note 8. This tablet has a lower resolution, 8GB of storage, and 1GB of RAM with a mediocre processor which results in clunky performance occasionally; however, the tablet is not geared towards power users. If you are not a power user then this tablet warrants at least a second glance. With its MicroSD card slot, decent sound, and pleasant design I am overall happy with the purchase.

Issues with WiFi connection

It is too often dropping WiFi connection. When returns from sleep mode, sometimes it is unable to restore the connection, you have to delete network connection, then connect again. That is annoying. Will return it.

Good value

I wasn't sure about the 8 GB (less than 6 GB free) but checked my Infinity tablet and after a year I'm only using 4.3 GB for apps. I got a 64 GB micro SD card and I'm good! The lower screen resolution isnt a problem because Touchwiz uses larger, rounded fonts and you don't see any issues - the viewing angles are very good and the screen is vibrant. MKV video files even work great - lots of power! Battery power is good. The Asus MemoPad only has one core and the screen is not good...cheap feeling. The Lenovo has a poor screen and doesn't seem to fit together properly. The HP has unacceptable battery life. The Nexus 7 has no SD card slot. Problems with all - this seems the best balance to me. If it had 16 GB for this price, it would be ideal. The SD card takes care of most of this though.
