Well worth the money!

I bought this sound bar when it was on sale, and it was well worth the money. I had an older Samsung sound bar and was looking for an upgrade. The HW-K650 has a larger more powerful sub than my older model and it also has more useable audio settings as well. The 3rd extra center speakers in this unit really help increase voice clarity on movies or with music. I am quite impressed how loud it can play for it's size and still sound clean and clear without distorting. Does it rival a state of the art high end home theatre system? NO. BUT for what it cost it does a great job when you don't have the room for a larger speaker system. I am quite happy with this sound bar and would highly recommend it.

Easy to install and use. Nice sound.

I've had this soundbar for a week now and I'm very satisfied. I don't understand those who say they had to purchase a separate optical cable because mine worked immediately (don't forget to remove the caps on each end of the cable!). As for the subwoofer, some people say that it's not generating enough bass. Set the audio mode to "Movie" and feel the room shake!

Sound Bar

Not Recommended!

Not the quality of sound expected! The first new set purchased didn't switch on at all. Returned and got the new set. After a few days the subwoofer sounded muffled! Really exhausted. Not recommended whatsoever!

The product did not work

I bought this product. Installed it as described in the manual. Caller Best Buy for support and got none. Was asked to pay the geek squat to résolve the issue, which I didn't do. Was referred to Samsung and after verifying everytHong, there was just no way to get any sound out of it. Returned it for a full refind.

Terrible product

Purchased in December, brought home, the soundbar doesn't switch on. returned and exchanged with a new one. The new set subwoofer starting producing muffled noise. Not recommended at all. Tough time to link the subwoofer to the main bar.

Had this unit for a couple of weeks now, has good sound but find it lacks bass, half the time I don't know if the sub woofer is on or not. Occasionally sound cuts out for a second or two and that's using the optical cord that was supplied with the unit. Thought it might have been the station I was watching but when I skipped the program back there was no issue with the station, it must be an issue with the sound bar itself. I may return it and try another unit. Will agree that the app is not the easiest thing to navigate but think it's cool. Think Samsung should include the adapter needed to do updates as some people don't have wireless connection.

Subwoofer Connection Problem`s

The sound bar give a deliver a good quality sound. But, the subwoofer playing only a weak sound. I try few thing concerning the setting but no success. It's seem I will have to bring it back to the store

Great unit, samsung multiroom lacking

The HW-K650 is a unit which the subwoofer is wirelessly connected to the main unit (ie soundbar), eliminating the need to run wires from the sound bar to the subwoofer. It is powerful enough to fill a medium size room with great sound without saturating. The only issue that I see is the "Samsung multi-room" which is to network with other wifi enabled multi-room systems to fill the house with music. The only use I have found is to be able to use the music locally stored on phone and sent it to the speakers using wifi. If this is not an non-issue, and you are comfortable to use the Bluetooth to play music on the device then this is a good unit.

wifi drops out ,so using on 5g now ,seems improved,,samsung multi room app is bad ,almost useless for playlists ,random disconnects,sound is ok,could use more bass at times, i have reveiwed this 3 times but never appears,best buy

nice design,conectivity ok, bass sound could be better but acceptable,,biggest flaw is samsung app,,,drops out a lot even after 2nd update,playlists are awful to manage and have to be reset everytime,,if samsung fixes the app they have a winner , only had it for a month so will update if problems arrise,,,,as is 4 stars ,,btw only buy this at sale price

Sounds great. Optical cable would not stay fitted in sound bar properly so using TV sound connect. If you want a wired connection ARC works but can't use just tv remote to control sound when using ARC. Still figuring stuff out.

Pros,,nice looking,connectiivity good,arc works well,crisp clear audio Cons,,wifi drops out( has been ok for last couple of days),could use more bass and sub at times depending on what's playing (the highs are fine),the apps are the worst part of system(2 updates already and still buggy),,can't get either app to play random songs,cant get either app to make playlists,hard to get app to recognize and connect to soundbarbyy at times,,,,all basic stuff c Mon SAMSUNG!! I will update as I have only had unit for a week,hopefuly bugs will work out ,,if not it might have to go back
