Good Price but don't think its worth it

Bought this TV during boxing day sale for a good price, was planning on using it for Netflix and Youtube only. This TV performs really slow, surfing through videos and channels on Youtube and Netflix. I just notice someone else wrote a review on the Netflix audio issue too. The volume is set for 70 just to have a decent sounds quality in our living room but when I plug in a PS4 is runs perfect at 20.The color/brightness configuration is poor too, I can't seem to adjust the color balance for Netflix as the shows appear a bit more red. I have a Samsung 4k 65" upstairs on the same network as this TV and its like night and day difference for performance. Overall: I wish I setup this TV sooner so I could of return it, not sure if its the Roku platform that is performing poorly. Will not buy another Roku TV

bought it for my husband 2 years ago at Christmas.. awesome picture and sound even on Netflix I don't know what the other review is talking about I never had to turn up the volume of anything 5 was loud enough. sadly though when we came home the other day it.wouldnt turn back on and was completely dead. we are sad it was an awesome tv. I recommend getting the extended warranty because I didn't.

Bought two and bought were a Lemon...

Within two weeks, the problems were TV restarting and rebooting on its own. Screen glitched. Wifi dropping unexpectedly. This all happened and only got worst. We thought it was a temporary thing as it was only happening once in awhile so we let it go. After the 30 days, the problems occurred way more frequently to a point that its permanent problems, in which i now have to deal directly with manufacturers warranty. Huge headache.

Really happy with it!

Got this on Boxing Day, and I'm really happy with it! The colour balance is very accurate, the contrast is great, the Roku functionality is very, very convenient and easy to use. It has limited inputs - no component input, and no wired Ethernet, but we have had zero problems with WiFi with it. Great TV!

I have owned this TV for half day only and returned it. Spent half day trying to connect it to my wireless. Called customer service, searched online solutions, reboot, reset....none of these worked! It was so frustrating that I waited two weeks for its delivery and ended up with getting this garbage!!!

Don't pay attention to the first rating - this is a decent TV.

Hi. To say that this TV gets one start based on it being 'simple' is a poor and misleading thing to say. If you want to rate is one star, fine, but please use your words and properly describe why exactly it deserves one star. If people were rated for their simplicity perhaps you would get one star as well. For TV's, this train of thought would mean that complexity would equate to it being good. Complexity usually relates to how many options or features is involved with the TV. This TV software/UI is very simple, yes, but in the sense that it's very easy to use. The TV settings are available as per the app you're using, which I like. Most features like picture-in-picture and so on people never use anyways, let's be honest. The remote is essentially the normal Roku remote which I also like - simple and easy to use. This is a good quality TV with good picture. The only qualm I have is that some of the sound button sound effects for some apps are really loud and annoying - this has less to do with the TV and more the app developers, perhaps. Either way, I'm happy with the TV and it's a good deal. I also got mine on sale.

Great value TV

Got this TV at a great price on Boxing Day. I have no complaints, it's a great TV and meets my needs. Obviously you're not going to get all the bells and whistles as you would by spending 4x as much, but the Smart TV and Roku features are a nice bonus. Would recommend.

Amazing tv with tons of features.

I purchased this TV after I returned an ULTRA 4K TV and it has the same 1080p picture for the fraction of that price. Of course 4k is great but there is more 1080p content than 4k, therefore, this TV is amazing if you want to enjoy 1080p at it's full glory. I would highly recommend this TV just make sure you tweak it and use high Quality HDMI cable. There are many options which are hidden so basically type this TV model and remove C at the end and download the online manual from the USA website.

Great TV.

Got it on boxing day. Great TV -- built in roku, device casting, wifi connectivity. Downside is when you turn it on, you have to go through the main roku menu and separately select "cable box" before being able to watch using your cable box (an additional step, but not that inconvenient). Also annoying is that the volume control buttons are on the side of the remote. But overall very impressed and satisfied with my purchase. I wish I bought 2 instead of 1.

for the price it is fantastic!

yes it's not 4k but it's also not priced for 4k. It is a very functional tv that for the price you pay is very good quality. I have enjoyed mine very much.

Got it from Boxing day and with a great deal, I can't complain, size is great but the only problem with this tv is sounds. Cable volume normal is 20 but when im streaming ' Netflix' have to crank it up to 70-100 to get a normal volume. 😁😅 no wonder the price is a bargain.

Excellent TV

While higher resolution 4K TVs exist and are being heavily marketed, the sharp 1080p 55" TV with the Roku service is an excellent TV for budget constrained families who aren't looking to over-spend on their TV. The Roku functionality is excellent, but at this point I'm not convinced the ROKU fully replaces a typical Android box (ref: "free" movies, etc). PS3 and WII game refresh rates keep the images sharp and accurate. While as the TV ages, 4K will be more utilized and available it doesn't appear it is a service level that is needed for a family TV or BBT episode marathons. Installation to an existing VESA mount was simple, but the mounting bolts were not the same as my previous TV requiring a trip to the hardware store to get the right threaded bolts. 2 of the HDMI ports are parallel to the wall, however one is directly toward the wall. I recommend a 90deg adapter or cable if you plan on using the 3rd HDMI plug and wall mount. The RCA cables are also problematic as they are rear facing, needing 90deg connectors to avoid cable strain or pressure. This TV does not have RCA outputs for stereo sound. While an optical output is available, my amp doesn't accept optical in. A headphone jack, split to RCA was used and while not ideal, it provides suitable service until I upgrade my amplifier.

Great TV for the Price!

This is a great TV. The Roku software is the best for Smart TVs just after Android. Did the right thing choosing this above Toshiba Google Cast and not so reliable Insignia brand. Sharp is good at making TVs. Roku is fast, Sports work fine at 60 Hz too. Only downside, the stand gap is very wide. Put it on an IKEA table for now, but will have to mount on the wall for sure. Overall, you cant get better 55" TV for this price.
