Reliable

I've had these (red) for the past 3 years and I can't believe they are still working!!! Sound quality is great and clear. If they ever die, I'm definetly getting another pair because i know they'll last. Plus I also find the design very comfortable and fits my ears great.

Left earbud died...on two different pairs

I bought a pair of these about 8 months ago. Within 6 months (but over 90 days) the left earbud stopped working. I checked the warranty which was for only 90 days. I actually bought another pair with the expectation that I could return the original broken pair to Sony with the new packaging/receipt for repair/replacement under warranty. Then today the left earbud on the new pair stopped working, 2 months after I bought them... While they were working, these offered very good sound quality for earbuds and the Smart Key worked well with my Galaxy 6. I used them daily walking to/from work and through most of my workday in an office environment. Good earbuds, poor manufacturing.

They hold up to the gym.

These have been lasting much longer than expected. They even went through the washing machine twice by accident and still are going strong. Excellent comfort, great sound for earbuds and they feel well made and solid as opposed to the cheaper sony earbuds.

Very disapointing

The small angled designed is awesome, but the thin cords tangle easily. The sound clarity is good. Except that these sound very tinny and have no bass. I got these half off the original price, so I guess there okay for what I paid

Great Product.

I swear I am listening to these right now and I thought someone was in the other room hitting the chair with something. Turns out it was the sound of the track I was listening to. Good high range, Great sound. Reasonable price.

Very good for the money

I originally purchased Sennheiser MMi 30 for my Samsung Android phone. Unfortunately, the controls didn't function with my phone. Further, the sound quality of the Sennheiser headphones is ok, but not much better than standard iPhone headphones. Finally, the Sennheisers did not fit/ stay in my ear very well at all. So, I purchased a pair of these Sony MDREX110APB headphones, based on a very old pair of Sonys I once owned and which sounded quite nice (until the right channel stopped working). I much prefer the sound quality of these Sonys over the Sennheisers. Although technically the Sennheisers sound more uniform than the Sonys (the entire bandwidth is fairly even - no overblown bass, no excessive treble, no recessed mid-range), the Sonys have a slightly boosted bass (by comparison), a little more treble extension, and a slightly recessed mid-range (although the clarity of the mid-range is quite good still, despite it being recessed). In my opinion, if you could see how the Sonys were EQ'd, you'd see a slight 'smile' on the Equalizer. Being an audiophile, I wouldn't normally like this. However, it adds a bit of warmth and listenability to the Sonys, considering MP3s and other audio formats generally stored on phones are not always the best resolution. The wires are quite thin, making breakage a bit of a concern, and the wires pick up lots of noise from movement, which gets transferred right to your ears. So, they may not be the best during workouts etc, but when sitting stationary on a bus or subway etc, the sound is very good (I still use them at the gym, though). Also, these headphone fit my ears FAR better than the Sennheisers did, and do not fall out anywhere near as easily. When I bought these, they were on sale for [price], down from [price] - a very good deal at that price. In recent weeks, they appear to have gone up to [price]. For that price, I'm pretty sure they're still better than many others out there (sound quality wise), and still a pretty ok deal. When they go on sale in and around the [price] mark, though, I would highly recommend them.

Best purchase ever :)

LOVE these headphones. Bought them a couple years ago and have accidentally thrown them in the wash like 10 times at least and they still worked fine every time! Sound is good, and if you get them on sale its worth it :). Definitely will be repurchasing this soon because one side stopped working after the last time I threw it in the wash :(

Quality

I've been using these pretty much everyday for almost 8 months now. The sound is beautiful and the bass is very strong.

Good

Had it for just over a month but now I can't hear anything through the left earbud. I hope the warranty covers repairs but I'm not expecting much since it's only a [price] purchase...
