horrible

i bought these as i thought what a great way to DJ and not worry about cords. great for about 10 minutes. went back the next day to show my daughter and the sound was horrible. then it just puked out totally. very disappointed. i thought Sony was better than this.

Absolute Trash

Never buy these. I have never had more trouble with a piece of equipment. They disconnect almost on a pattern every 5-10 minutes and require you to unplug and plug them in to fix it, they have an absolutely insane amount of static, and 'cause headaches with extended wear. Couple that with a generally poor sound quality, and you have yourself one of the worst products ever made.

Good Reason why Sony is doing poorly

Pros: The sound is fine; good bass, the headphones are comfortable, good value Cons: The connection wire is only about 3 Ft. to your audio jack. Too short really so you may need an extension, or put the transmitter on the other side of your system. They are too big and have no way to adjust. Sometimes I feel as though they are going to drop off my head, especially when I'm working around the house, and definitely don't bend over. Just sit and behave and you'll be okay. The range isn't as good as some generic sets I've used, although perfectly adequate for just watching TV or listening to music. It should be very easy for a big company like Sony to rectify these problems before going to market. I have to wonder why they didn't.

Ok for the price

Bought these to hear the TV while on the treadmill so I don't have to jack the sound up like crazy on the TV. Treadmill is about 12 feet away. Overall they work well so far. They stay on while running, and are comfortable. Sound quality is not the best but if you're buying cheap RF headphones and expect to get premium music sound quality you're living in a dream world. Tiny bit of static now and then but not enough to be a bother. Not bad purchase if you get them on sale.

Very happy with them

I purchased this headset about 1 month ago and I am very pleased with them. I can have it installed in my bedroom in the corner of the house and walk around the entire house (main floor and basement up to 46' away) with my music playing with very little static. Within 15-20' there is virtually no static at all. I have noticed however, being close to certain objects that it will have static. For example, my headboard is metal, and if I am sitting on my bed with my head leaning back against the headboard (in otherwords, the headset is only a couple of inches away from the headboard) there is some static. But other than that, when I'm sitting normally in bed...no problems. The battery life is incredible as well. I charged it up the first night that I bought it and havn't put it back on the base since. I've used it nearly every night since 1-2 hours a night for about 3 weeks now and its still going strong. I should mention as well that I was at The Source the same day that I bought this unit and they told me that they will not accept returns on these units what so ever! Best Buy however had a reasonable return policy, 1 month i believe it was, so I bought it here. Overall, I am very happy with it.

Sony headphones

Price was good, but quality of sound poor. Too much crackling and static sound for a TV only 15 feet away. Returned headphones twice with no difference in sound. Charger was okay.

You get what you pay for!

I bought these headphones on a Tuesday and returned them on Thursday. They are comfortable on the ears and the band does not pinch my head but the quality is not good. The sound was "tinny" like talking into a can and the advertised range of 150 ft is actually more like 20 ft. I'm sorry to say that for a Sony product, the quality is lacking. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

comfort / ergonomics could be improved

little too bulky, and too big, they constantly fall down if I move my head a little too fast, so on the ergonomics and the comfort sides, I just give it a 3. Then value also, while these are the cheapest SONY headphone they have, the price I paid on sale - was still a little bit pricey I thought so. No problem w performance, but used them only a few times, 15 feet away approx. every time, and it worked fine, you just need to switch channels. I use them w my laptop, when I listen to music in the kitchen and my laptop is in my bedroom. Works well with youtube. Interferences w micro-oven.

Lover of music and movies!

These headphones are comfortable and ok in a pinch! Only buy these if you want cheap wireless headphones and don't care about sound quality. The sound quality is mediocre at best and they take interference very easily! I would not recommend these headphones!

not again

My wife bought this pair for me. They are comfortable and aesy to use. Down side was that after 2-3 weeks I did notice that the sound wasn't that clear anymore. They got returned and exchanged with the same model, I liked the feel of it. The new ones had the same problem and got returned. This time my wife brought some different ones which were not that comfortable and I thought I rather lock myself and try to return again. While I was waiting in line at the return counter the customer in front of me returned the same head phones which I returned before. Clearly something is not right with theese head phones.

Thankfully bought on sale

Half the time it doesn't work properly. Im always having to get back up and unplug / replug just to get it to work. When it cuts out, there is a LOUD static sounds that is ear piercing. Its disappointing. I was hoping for something much better than that. What a waste...

OK for TV

I purchase these wireless headphones since I could not find headphones with a cord long enough to reach from TV to couch. They are bulky/heavy and can be uncomfortable. The sound is OK. Some static at times. Purhased to use until something more lightweight & comfortable is available.

Sony wireless headphones

You pay for what you get! What attracted me was the 50% discount. Quite a bit of static if you move about. Good value for the price, but just cannot meet my overall expectation when it comes to listening music. No wonder the bluetooth wireless is so much more expensive. Returned product eventually.

Ok headphones if you know what you are looking for

Got 2 pairs on boxing day for half(!!!) the normal price. Overall satisfied with the purchase. They look stylish, connect easily and charging conveniently on the base. They do get a lot of interference in a noisy environment(in condo now, expect them to perform much better after moving to a house) especially when moving around! However, I bought them to watch TV without disturbing the kid. As long as you are withing 5 meters to the base and sitting still - they work just fine! And this is exactly what I need. Also, they are obviously not good for music. Ps: wouldn't pay a full price though.

You get what you pay for

These headphones are comfortable enough, although they are a great deal bulkier than they need to be. Sound quality is poor, I am getting lots of interference from the fm transmitter. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for. I'm returning them after the first use.

Awesome!

Well . . . it sounds like I was lucky enough to get a really good pair of headphones! I got this yesterday, install them in five minutes and I was ready to go! No sound problems whatsoever! Clear, no static, no out of range, Went down the hall from the kitchen to our room and could hear everything no problem! I liked them so much, that I wanted to order another pair for the TV in our living room but, they are sold out! The only beef I have is that they are a bit loose in your head and they tend to fall off when you lean over, but other than that, I'll give it a 9 out of 10.

Great product at a great price. Good base, comfortable over the ear fit and very little (if any) outside noise.
