SATA2 throughput & only 2 of 4 ports active

Was going to use this in an old Core 2 Duo machine to additional SATA ports. The machine already has 4 SATA2 but figured if I added this card would be able to have eSATA and SATA3 devices in the computer. First this card has 2 internal sata ports and 2 eSATA ports. What the specs do not mention is that you can only have 2 of the 4 ports active on the card. This is done via jumpers that you physically have to move on the card itself. I had hoped for a bit of improvement over the existing SATA2 controller with the couple of SATA3 hard drives. Sorry to say the various benchmarks I performed under Windows7 showed almost identical throughput figures on repeatted testing. Returning this card.
