Good Headset

Great headset. Plenty of sound adjustments you can make with it. Works more than just xbox 360, I use it on the computer too. After wearing it for a while I do get a headache from the pressure, but I am a gamer so I wear it for long periods at a time.

Good but slider side broke.

I can verify that this is a GOOD headset for casual gaming. Has bass boost, chat volume, mic on/off, flexible mouth piece, and overall volume control. It doesn't hurt my ears when playing extensively for hours as it covers the entire ears, and has a decent length of cable. In case your wondering, your TV needs to have a USB port so you can use the headsets functions but as the other reviewer mentioned, the durability of the build is not there. Mine broke on both side of the slider and had to resort to sticking super glue and a stick onto it, but still working and letting me know where my enemies are. This occasionally comes on sale for $[...] and I would recommend this as long as you keep in mind that it might break if flexed too much on the mentioned part. Hope this helps. Cheers =)

Easlily Break

Bought 2 pairs for the household, both sets have now cracked on the sliders just above the earphones. Was quite happy with the speakers but build quality is just not there on the adjustable slider part, break too easy.

Great Headset, No problems, owned for 2.5-3 yrs

Great headset, Comfortable for a regular sized humans head. I've had them for 2.5-3yrs, never was uncomfortable on my ears or head. Mic works great, everyone I've played with could hear me crystal clear. Has Bass boost, chat volume and game volume and has a mute button. Treat your equipment nicely and they will last a long time! If you really want to step the headset up, You can get the Earforce Dss. For surround sound, extra volume and extra bass boost. I got both the headset and Dss on sale, cost me around [$price] total.

They are ok

Exellent audio quality, mic pic up a lot of noise. Not good for recording/ streaming cuz a thumping noise can be heard. Good for everything but recording and streaming, so if you plan on doing that stay away, but if not, would recommend.

Very good

Not a must have, but highly recommended if you need a non-costly headset. I've had a pair for 15 months, but sadly the right earpiece broke off. Very comfortable. Mic quality is very good on both PC and Xbox. I probably will buy another.

Works well but kinda squishes my head and ear's after a hour or two. I have a larger head and ear's then the average person and it gets uncomfortable. The sound and mic quality are great and I can listen to my PS3 but not talk.

Great Headphones

When I first recieved them, it took no time setting up. The audio was better and more crisp than my TVs audio. My friends had no difficulties hearing me and reported HD sound. After hours of playing, it could cause discomfort around the ears. Overall it is a great product, so keep it on your list until it goes on sale again!

Mic does not work

Very disappointed. Mic doesn't work. Only one person in live party could hear me and it was very faint. Yes we made sure the sound was turned up. Went back to using an old set to make sure we could be heard. Returned.

This headset is pretty good. The only problem is that they don't last very long. Mine were not good they were broken in a day. Other than how long they last everything else is pretty good. I recommend getting a warranty just because this has a poor build quality. Ok

I got the headphones after reviewing what I wanted I go these over the wireless. I heard about static nois3 from the wireless so I stuck with the wired ones. I am blown away on the sound and quality, now I don't have to warry about waking up my wife and kids when I play late at night.

Gud headphones

I bought these headphones hours ago and I must say I am pleased with the purchase. I was looking for a headset due to the fact I live in an apartment and by neighbours do not enjoy my 1000 watt sony home theatre in a box setup as much as i do. Especially the 250watt sub. I've also been playing Dead Space 2 (awesome game) as of late and that game is highly bass intensive. I do have a set of sennhesier headphones but the bass just wasnt cutting it (or lack there of) so I needed something better for that late night gaming or even just wanting to play my games with higher sound. This turtle beach amplified headset definitely brings to another level. I cant say I was incredibly impressed as others due to the fact I have a 1000watt surround system but this headphone set deff brings the sound and bass almost to the same level. I'm a Halo player and I can't say that these headphones brought any major new experience to the game but I must say that the most minute sounds stand out much more (footsteps, control panels beeping, weapon swaping, ambient sounds) which makes the experience much more fun and immersive. The packaging is nice, the booklet and instructions are straight forward and even comes with a cool sticker. Only took a few minutes to hook up, and it was all straight forward. No problems. They look nice, feel comfortable and provide an immersive effect. So they are well worth the price. If you dont have a surround sound system or ever gamed on one then you will probably be blown away. My only dislikes with the headset are that they have a lot of wires to hook up which leaves clutter in front of you for animals or small children to mess up. When you talk in the mic you hear it come though the headphones as well (like if you were talking in a small room type of effect - kinda like an echo). My ears also did hurt after 30-40 mins but not due to the physical structure but most likely because I had the volume fairly high (which is needed to hear everything). Also, I do not have an HDTV just a standard deff flat screen and I have my xbox sound hooked up to a receiver so I hooked up the piggy back connections to there and with that I had sound come out of my surround and my head phones at the same time. To disable that I had to mute the receiver. I would recommend this set to anyone looking to get better sound quality out of their game, looking to have a slight hearing advantage over others, and just wanting to be more fully immersed into their game. Overall I am glad I bought these.

Great Everything But Discomforting

This headset performs really great. This is a headset that provides at your service if you're looking for a decent-good gaming headset. The sound is crisp and you can hear MOSTLY everything surrounding you in your game. The Bass Boost control is also great because it supports the sound. Overall, the sound is amazing and I'd rate it 8/10. The only downside TO ME is the comfort. After a long while playing zombies with friends it makes my ears sore. Not because it's too loud, but the way it wraps around my ears. It also squeezes my jaws a little, making them a little numb. The headset is also too tight when wrapping over your headset. I'd rate the comfort 3/10.

awsome sound

overall pretty good. i love the sound quality and the mic is clear. The one big drawback is the quality of the control box that you control the game volume and the chat. it tends to breakdown quickly roughly around the 1 year mark, leaving you either no sound, no voice or both. I have had this happen to two of these headsets so far, luckily with the 2nd pair I bought the extended warranty.

Turtle beach High Def headset

I purchased for my 11 year old gamer - he loves the high def and the comfort - this was his third set he has owned and by far the best one and the least expensive - much better than wireless for gaming - no recharging - delivered fast - and excellent value

Turtle beach headset

Great Headset, i use it on my computer for online games and i have had no issues as well it blocks out alot of external sound. As for the performance it has good clean sound and the mic works great from what others have comment on when they hear me talk.

once I got them I fell in love. These are amazing and work great with any game. I use them for Fifa 13 and Call of Duty and they blow me away. They blend game chat and voice chat beautifully. I though they would interrupt each other but they unite in a such a way it feels like I'm playing and sitting next my friends while talking to them. I can also use them on my PC. If you're going for a good headset for a good price I recommend these!

Absolute WOW...

for those never having experienced a headset, this is by far the best. Corded so you will never have to change batteries Stereo because 5.1, 7.1 is really overrated (if you really want it get the DSS2 add on) Cheap so that if it breaks its not a big loss to get another one

Nice Headphones

The x12 are good in overall but they hurt after a couple of hours gaming. But these give me lot of advantage when playing cod. I would recommend these gaming headphone to hardcore gamers and to recruit gamers

Work well or a bit.

i got the turtle beach x12 after my pair of X1s broke. At first the headset was awesome, great sound quality, really comfortable, and worked for my Xbox and PC. But after about 3-4 months the left ear cup broke off and i had to repair it using hot glue and Popsicle sticks. It wasnt that big of a deal other then this is that EXACT thing that happened to my X1s but my X1s broke after 2 years, these broke after only 3-4 months of uses. So all in all its and OK headset, not the greatest and defiantly cheaply made, but for the price its not all that bad. Just dont count on them lasting you forever cuz they WONT !

Perfect headset,

This is by far one of my best purchases I have made (video-game wise) PERFECT sound quality Fits on your head perfectly And a fantastic price for it too! If youre thinking of getting any kind of turtle beach headset, take it from me, and get this one. I have had 5 turtle beach headsets in the past, and the turtle beach x12's is the best out of them all, by far.

Turtlebeach X12 Headset

I did a lot of research before buying a headset and I can confidently say I am very happy with this headset. Great quality of sound. Can get a bit uncomfortable after a while and there a lot of wires but if you can deal with wires, which shouldn't be a problem, it'll be a great pickup. Highly recommended.

Great headset

I've been using turtle beach headsets for years now starting with X1's, and I've always been satisfied them. X12's are great because they are cheap, compatible with PC and Xbox 360, very comfortable and bring gaming to a whole new level. I'd recommend these to anybody that wants a headset.

amazing product

I feared buying a new headset, but the X11 are pretty damn good once you plug them in. The sound quality is very impressive, the comfort of the headset is satisfactory. This headset is very light weight. The only problem i find with this product is the amount of wires that come with it. other then that this is an amazing headset.

I love the turtlebeach ear force x12 on-ear headset, it is super comfortable, the sound quality is great and you can change the game volume and chat volume separately. The quality of the headset is great and the only problem that I have had so far, is that the mic is so sensitive that it can pick up other peoples voices that are in the same room as me. You can also hear your own voice amplified in the headset, so you won’t have to shout to hear what you’re saying. You haven’t experienced gaming to its full potential until you have tried the surround sound of a headset. If you haven’t used a surround sound head set then you don’t know what you are missing. Once you try it then you can never go back to traditional TV speakers. The headset is also lightweight and durable, blocking out unwanted background noises. I would defiantly recommend the turtlebeach ear force x12 on-ear headset to any serious gamer because of its excellent quality and value. I can easily notice a significant difference when I play call of duty modern warfare 3 multiplayer. I just feel more confident not having to worry if someone is sneaking behind me about to end my kill streak. (I personally recommend dead silence pro or sitrep pro with surround sound) the turtlebeach ear force x12 on-ear headset is wired but other wireless gaming headsets are usually significantly more expensive.

First Headset

I find this headset has extremely good sound quality during music and gaming but over long periods of use they start to hurt the top of my head and I have too adjust them. I also don't like the long cord when I use it for PC gaming because I constantly run over it with my chair, although i realize it has too be long if you want to use it for Xbox or Tv. I also find that the mic goes too far back and not far enough forwards (no, i didn't put it on wrong, I read the R and L). Overall I think these are "good" headphones.

Worth it.

Got these as a Christmas gift and I have to say that it's really good. The sound quality is amazing other than a hissing sound when nothing is happening. Mic is clear, but for those of you that want something wire less stay away. It has wires for days. Overall a good product though, would recommend to others.

Great Budget Headset.

I replaced my Turtlebeach PX21s with the X12. The X12s are far superior to the PX21s. I primarily play Call of Duty and the sounds were much more crisp with the X12s. They are very comfortable even after several hours of playing.

Needs modifications

Fair value for entry level XBox headset. Low level hissing with USB power source. Terrible static/crackle until I opened up the control panel and modified the wiring (i.e. reduced interference with wires crossing/touching). Ergonomics are good, and fits around the ear well for comfortable stretches of time. If your ears are on the Larger size, like me, you may want to look elswhere. If you want pin point acoustic situational awareness, look at the higher end Turtle Beaches, Razer, Triton, etc. For your kick around, mess around, have a blast with friends (because mic is sensitive/good) set, then these will do the trick. Cheers,

Great Headset

Purchased this headset about a week ago, sound is very clear and the headset is very comfortable. I used to have Turtle Beach x31's and I have to say these are much better, they're a lot more durable and they're noise cancelling. The nice black finish adds to the very improved Turtle Beach headset, I would recommend this headset to anyone, great price too.
